Due to the increased interest of research scholars in business world, this study aims to examine the research on blockchain technology that has been conducted in the field of Business, Management and Accounting (BMA). Therefore, a bibliometric analysis was performed to look for the research trends and themes in this area by performing analysing on metadata. The study attempts to explore a graphical representation of bibliometric information of blockchain technology in the area of BMA using R Package bibliometric. Thus, it performed the following analysis: annual publications trends, most productive countries, most productive authors, most cited papers, most frequent journals, most productive affiliations, most frequent keywords and network analysis. The results reveal that research on blockchain technology in BMA started in 2016 and increased more than threefold in the year 2019 and the growth continued respectively. Furthermore, it's evident that research on blockchain technology in BMA is increasing significantly but is still in its early stage and is expected to grow significantly. This research may be repeated over time as the numbers will keep on changing and the scope of this research was only to Scopus database.","PeriodicalId":269873,"journal":{"name":"2021 7th International Conference on Research and Innovation in Information Systems (ICRIIS)","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-10-25","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123900260","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Smart home development and adoption is still a new phenomenon relatively limited in Malaysia. The implementation of smart home concept makes it easier for homeowners to monitor their homes from anywhere and anytime via the Internet of Things (IoT) principle. However, the implementation of smart home may expose homeowners to network security, information privacy, and other physical safety issues. Therefore, this paper is a work in progress on the design and development of a smart home IOT-based project. As a proof of concept, this project focuses on the design and development of a smart auto gate system. The proposed smart auto gate system is designed to be controlled by a mobile application via a wireless connection. This project aims to develop a minimal priced, and extensible wireless smart home auto gate system using IoT which then employs the combination of mobile application, and a cloud server. Thus, it will allow home users to control the automatic gate through a user-friendly mobile application interface.","PeriodicalId":269873,"journal":{"name":"2021 7th International Conference on Research and Innovation in Information Systems (ICRIIS)","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-10-25","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124753329","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Distinctively, the challenges are caused by climate change, diseases outbreak, drought, desertification, floods, pests and loss of biodiversity. To resolve some of these problems and to make appealing as well as profitable situations in agriculture for those involved in feeding the planet, like the smallholder farmers, innovation in agricultural processes is required. Recently, an emerging technology called blockchain has received a great deal of interest from researchers in many different fields, especially the food and agricultural industries. The existing reviews are relatively general and investigating the current challenges of blockchain technology in the food and agriculture sectors has been missed in the literature. Therefore, the present paper aims to present a review on blockchain technology in the food and agriculture domain to examine the issues and challenges of blockchain technology to address how unique features of this technology will revolutionise the food and agricultural sectors. Consequently, the theoretical foundations of various articles published in high ranked scientific journals during 2016 and 2020 are included in this review. This research provides an extensive review of blockchain technology studies and ascertains trends and emerging research areas.","PeriodicalId":269873,"journal":{"name":"2021 7th International Conference on Research and Innovation in Information Systems (ICRIIS)","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-10-25","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126688854","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Despite the various benefits, the use of the DCT apps has raised several issues, particularly in the area of data privacy. Thus, it is important for users to be aware of their privacy while using such apps. This study was conducted to identify the level of user awareness on data privacy and investigate whether the data privacy concern can influence the adoption of the MySejahtera application. A total of 505 responses were obtained from an online survey distributed through social media. The data were then analyzed quantitatively using descriptive statistics and Structural Equation Modelling (SEM) techniques. Empirical results found that the user awareness level on data privacy in using MySejahtera App is moderately high. The respondents are highly aware that their personal data were collected while using the app although they demonstrate less awareness on the privacy risk towards misusing of their personal data. The study also found out that data privacy concern does influence the adoption of MySejahtera App. Even though the awareness level towards their data privacy is considered high, it is believed that this finding is largely influenced by the enforcement made by the Malaysian Government to mitigate the CO VID-19 outbreak. This study provides insights into users' understanding of data privacy pertaining to DCT applications focusing on MySejahtera. The findings offer the government some recommendation to formulate effective strategies to reduce personal concern towards the apps. The government can make use of the findings in handling the stored data for strengthening public trust.","PeriodicalId":269873,"journal":{"name":"2021 7th International Conference on Research and Innovation in Information Systems (ICRIIS)","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-10-25","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131359196","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
