Also, many applications have changed their traffic pattern frequently due to various reasons. Nevertheless, network managers tend to stay with old signatures. But they should update with new signatures to detect the modified application traffic. The extraction of signature is work to demand a lot of time. And it is difficult to continuously and timely extract the new signature for all applications. In this paper, we propose a noble signature management system which automatically extract new signatures detecting the modified traffic and delete old signatures no longer used. The proposed system analyzes traffic with existing signatures and extracts new signature automatically for updated traffic. For automatic generation of new signatures, we uses a sequence pattern algorithm. Also, the proposed system analyze usage of the old signatures to remove them when they are not used any more. It becomes a new challenge for many carriers to deploy a variety of new services by effective provisioning of network resources. Software-Defined Networking (SDN) is a novel approach to make networks reconfigurable and extensible such that new services can be deployed with existing network devices. By decoupling the controller plane from the data plane in network devices, SDN brings networks programmability of the data plane and centralization of the controller plane. Conventional Operations Support Systems (OSSs) were developed to manage networks in a standard fashion with Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP) or proprietary protocols. SDN provides a new framework in managing SDN-enabled devices. A new issue for carriers is how SDN-enabled networks and devices can be monitored and controlled by current OSSs. This paper focuses on performance management and aims to develop an efficient scheme to collect traffic statistics data via the SDN controller plane. Similar to Bulkstat, an SNMP-based mechanism for periodic collection and transfer of MIB objects, the proposed scheme for bulk traffic statistics collection is developed in the controller plane and provides a northbound interface for upper network management applications. Telecom service hall network consists of service requirements nodes (RNs) and telecom service hall sites (TSs). Telecom service hall location selection problem mainly focuses on choosing locations of TSs from RNs. With analysis of base station data, we formulate a method based on telecom user distribution model to group users and to find RNs. Then, we propose a theoretical model to obtain telecom operator's greatest economic income with constraints of service satisfaction perceived by telecom users. Finally, a mechanism combined with improved genetic algorithm is put forward to solve it. Many detection approaches relying on specific rules or inference models have been proposed to distinguish faulty sensors by exploring spatial-temporal correlations among sensor readings. However, these approaches may require high communication overhead or computational cost, and many potential faulty sensors that may not generate anomalous sensor readings remain undetected. In this paper, we propose a metric-correlation-based distributed fault detection (MCDFD) approach. It is motivated by the fact that the correlations between sensor nodes' system metrics usually perform regularly, whereas abnormity of such correlations indicates failures. MCDFD explores sensor nodes' internal metric correlations using correlation value matrixes. An improved cumulative summation (CUSUM) algorithm is used to track gradual changes or abrupt changes. Once any changes occur in correlation value time sequences, potential failures can be detected. The apply of metric correlations has made MCDFD with high-energy efficiency and low computational complexity, since no communication overhead is incurred and CUSUM algorithm is simple for computation. Applied to time-shifted TV, RTSR not only restores program files instantly once streaming failure is detected, but also provides fluent playback to viewers when multicast streaming is interrupted. An analysis is addressed to prove that RTSR gains many more benefits than conventional recovery mechanism. Since streaming failure highly depends on actual network environment and is difficult to be predicted, a RTSR system is developed and estimated directly based on a commercial IPTV platform to ensure its feasibility. Since most of its technical features are inherited from SPDY, an application-layer protocol developed by Google, HTTP/2 is expected to solve many of the shortcomings and inflexibilities of HTTP/1.1, and hence enhance the web performance in terms of page load time. In this paper, we study the performance impact of HTTP/2 on typical websites in Korea, where most web pages use many different domains. To mimic the real world, we build a testbed with a web server that natively supports HTTP/2 and emulates different domains on the local system. By using the simple crawling tool and web browser supporting HTTP/2, we clone the several websites and conduct the performance evaluations under the various network environments.
