It is a commonly encountered disease in clinical practice. This disease occurs due to aggravation of Udan Vata, enveloped with Kapha, thereby causing obstruction in nose. In contemporary science this disease can be co-related with many disorders like turbinate hypertrophy, deviated nasal septum, nasal polyp, tumours, allergic rhinitis and others; among which deviated nasal septum is a common cause. Deviated Nasal Septum can be treated with surgical and medical methods. The medical and surgical managements have their own limitations, merits, and demerits like synechiae formation, rhinitis sicca, severe bleeding, septal perforation, septal heamatoma, septal abscess etc. In Ayurvedic classics the treatment for Nasa Pratinaha is Snehapana, Nasya, Dhoompana etc. The best prescribed in Nasya Pratinaha for Nasya is Bala Taila, the same oil is also recommended for Nasa Pichu. Thus, this study was carried out with the objective of to evaluate the effectiveness of Bala Taila Nasya and Nasa Pichu in the management of Deviated Nasal Septum Nasal Septum. A case report of 43-year-old female who presented with complaints of frequent nasal obstruction, nasal discharge, discomfort in nose, and headache; was diagnosed with Deviated Nasal Septum. The patient was treated with Bala Taila nasya and Nasa Pichu with the same oil. Hence Bala Taila administered as Nasya and Nasa Pichu was significant in controlling the symptoms of Nasa Pratinaha (Deviated Nasal septum) without recurrence in the follow up period.","PeriodicalId":269166,"journal":{"name":"Feb - Mar 2021","volume":"19 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-03-25","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125722152","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This study aims to systematically review the scientific literature and provide a comprehensive summary on the effect of M. pruriens on sperm parameters with idiopathic infertility. A comprehensive systematic review was conducted in the following databases: PubMed, Google scholar and Cochrane library for research articles published in between 2000 and 2020. The keywords that were used in combination to search for articles included, \"Mucuna pruriens\",\"idio- pathic infertility\" and \"sperm parameters\". The literature search done by using keywords and identified following number of articles in the respective databases; PubMed (n=13), Google scholar (n= 116), and Cochrane library (n=4). After removing duplications, the total number of articles included in the present review is 124. 114 studies were omitted due to exclusion criteria and use of combine M. pruriens with other medicinal herbs, due to the im- possibility of determining the net effect of M. pruriens. Included articles were screened in the final stage by reading the full article. To abide by the rules of Rutucharya, it will help in Bala –Varna-Vrudhi (increase in strength and luster(1). The rules which have to be followed in different seasons and develop specific lifestyle with the help of Aahara/Diet - Vihara/Cloister are called as Rutucharya. Rutucharya connects bridge between natures cycle with human body’s cycle. There are 6 Rutus and they are sub divided in 2 parts (2 solstices) as Aadan Kala and Visarga Kala, each Kala has 3 Rutus/seasons. Aacharya’s has given detail information about Aahara Vihara with its quality and quantity separately for each Rutu and Kala. For the healthy lifestyle second most important factor is Matra i.e. the quantity of Aahara and Vihara(2). Matra of Aahara is depending on its quality i.e. Guru/heavy and Laghu/light(3). From Ayurveda point of view, COPD can be compared with Pranavaha Srotas disease, as the etiological factors and clinical characteris- tics mentioned in Ayurvedic classics for Pranavaha Srotodushti are almost identical to those for COPD and usually occur in Tamaka Shwasa.
