Recently, it has evolved into a form that can simultaneously search, track, and avoid external jamming signals with digital beam formation using a phased array radar. However, errors can occur if the side lobes do not receive accurate results or if the target is located too close. There is also a problem that the price is high. This paper reduces the module of an antenna and shows that its accuracy is similar to before reducing the number of modules. In addition, we analyze the received results from the target using convolution and deconvolution techniques and propose a method to improve image resolution. In this paper, the proposed technique proposes increasing target detection accuracy through simulation.","PeriodicalId":268233,"journal":{"name":"2023 19th IEEE International Colloquium on Signal Processing & Its Applications (CSPA)","volume":"97 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-03-03","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116571512","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

To guide the needle accurately inserted into the targeted deepseated position in the tissue following a designated trajectory, the clinicians majorly rely on real-time image feedback for needle trajectory visualization and prediction via ultrasonography and/ or optical camera feedback. However, during needle puncture guiding procedures, the needle trajectory may not always be accurately reported, leading to inconvenience or even post hazards to the procedure, with one major leading obstacles is the needle can only be tracked with a limited camera field-of-view. Here, we proposed a hybrid pose estimation augmented reality (AR) algorithm that allows simultaneous conduct of entire needle set tracking to broaden the detectable operation range of the needle insertion procedure. The algorithm not only can track the 3D pose of the needle handle (via marker tracking), but can also track the pose of the needle itself (via key points detection), therefore enlarging the trackable zone during the procedure. The detectable view is measured to have up to 3.13-fold field-of-view improvement, with an overall accuracy of 2.9pm 0.01 mm being achieved. The proposed algorithm provides an advancement in using CCDcamera as a tool to implement AR-based surgical guidance and should benefit the current surgical procedure such as the RFA or biopsy.","PeriodicalId":268233,"journal":{"name":"2023 19th IEEE International Colloquium on Signal Processing & Its Applications (CSPA)","volume":"62 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-03-03","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126510432","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

However, conventional PID controllers tend to suffer from an integral windup that can cause oscillations or overshoot in the system output, degrading the controller performance. Besides, it also experiences tuning difficulty for an optimum control performance due to its highly coupled tuning gains. This study proposed an anti-windup controller with a semi-decoupled tuning gains design. The implementation of the semi-decoupled tuning gains aims to ameliorate the dynamic performance of a PI controller. The performance of the proposed controller was compared with the conventional PI controller and the steadystate integral PI controller. The proposed controller showed a faster response with a minimal overshoot in the motor speed control hardware simulation under no-load and loading conditions.","PeriodicalId":268233,"journal":{"name":"2023 19th IEEE International Colloquium on Signal Processing & Its Applications (CSPA)","volume":"28 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-03-03","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114234249","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Refractometry plays an indispensable part in determining the composition or purity of a sample and conventional solutions can be intrusive and very expensive. In this paper we aim to determine the Refractive Index (RI) sensing and multiparameter sensing capabilities of a triple U-shaped side + center polished macrobent fibre optic sensor prototype. This prototype was tested on controlled glycerol samples ranging from (1.34-1.39) Refractive Index Unit (RIU) and showed a linear trend in RI sensing. It boasts an average percentage error of 0.1318% in refractive index measurements when subjected to 12 randomly prepared test data within the range of(1.33 to 1.40) RIU. Individually, the percentage error is higher for each probe but did not exceed 0.4% when used in tandem. This proves improved performance when using multiple probes with different configurations. The sensor was also able to extrapolate further for 1. 40RIU which was not within the range of the training data thus it is highly scalable. Its temperature sensing (30°C to 45°C) capabilities was also tested. Despite the great performance in RI sensing, the center polished probe was found unsuitable. The 500$mu$m diagonal polished probe showed great sensitivity and linearity while the 300$mu$m diagonal polished probe showed low sensitivity and high linearity, thus allowing the system to determine the RIU of the solution at room temperature. This project shows great promise in the field of multiparameter RI sensing.","PeriodicalId":268233,"journal":{"name":"2023 19th IEEE International Colloquium on Signal Processing & Its Applications (CSPA)","volume":"311 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-03-03","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122733925","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Through ICCM, project managers can avoid all unnecessary changes that disrupt the project execution and implementation; which further contribute to project delay, cost overrun, endless rework and facing the prolonged acceptance of User Acceptance Test (UAT). However, it is common that many project managers place much emphasis of time and effort in producing a detailed and comprehensive software quality assurance plan (SQAP) as part of ICCM adoption and implementation; neglecting and overlooking other important factors which indeed contribute to successful implementation of operation excellence. As a result, understanding the critical success factors (CRFs) allows the project managers to drive best practices to work routines; indirectly encouraging and enforcing project team members to understand and commit to the assigned task effectively. This paper aims to outline the critical success factors of operational excellence of ICCM in the context of the IT industry to exceed customer expectations through best practices in improving project mindset, processes and culture. However, some patients may produce spontaneous breathing (SB) which results in producing asynchrony events (AEs) even though they are fully sedated. The AEs is referring to the mismatch between the patient’s mechanical ventilator and the patient’s respiratory system and may worsen the patient’s condition. Hence, this will lead to the inaccurate measurement of lung conditions in MV patients. Furthermore, the negative elastance is another metric that can occur during mechanical ventilation when the patient’s inspiratory demand is less than zero. Thus, this study aims to calculate the asynchrony events (AEs) with negative elastance in mechanically ventilated patients and develop the graphical user interface (GUI) for automated detection of asynchrony levels that potentially helps clinicians in monitoring the AEs in MV patients. Data on the patients is obtained from the International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM) Hospital with a total number of 9 patients. The asynchrony events (AEs) with negative elastance are measured based on ± 50% of the median (AUC) over each breathing cycle of a given patient and the negative elastance is obtained based on AUC Edrs that is less than 0. Then, the asynchrony index (AI) is calculated to indicate the asynchrony level of each patient. The result shows the AI that includes the negative elastance produced higher values with 13.02 [1.40 -- 17.74] than the AI without negative elastance with 10.32 [1.22 -- 17.28] for all 9 MV patients. Thus, the estimation of the asynchrony level that includes the negative elastance is more accurate and can help the clinician for better MV management. This automated system of the GUI enables the detection of the AEs with negative elastance by displaying all the information of AI, MV mode, AEs, and negative elastance automatically which potentially help the clinician in optimizing the management setting of MV.","PeriodicalId":268233,"journal":{"name":"2023 19th IEEE International Colloquium on Signal Processing & Its Applications (CSPA)","volume":"14 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-03-03","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121108990","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Our literature studies showed that only a few studies examined tropical climates and harvest yield forecasts. Therefore, sixteen-month real-world tropical outdoor climate data from IoT-enabled sensors were investigated to build predictive harvest yield models. This preliminary study aims to discover if weather conditions, such as water temperature, acidity, radiation, air temperature, pH, light intensity, and air humidity, show a statistically significant impact in estimating the harvest yield. In the modelling process, Multiple Linear Regression modelling techniques were used to build and compare the models. The models’ performance was evaluated according to the adjusted $mathrm{R}^{2}$ and Root Mean Square Error (RMSE) measurements. It is found that water temperature and electricity conductivity significantly influenced different plant varieties’ yield in weight, contributing to 13% (i.e., adjusted R-square) of the variance of the harvest yield forecast, indicating the magnitude of characteristics that can explain the harvest yield. Furthermore, the Regression models showed that electricity conductivity has a statistically negative impact, whereas water temperature positively affects the yields. Our future work will use more data and different machinelearning algorithms to improve the model’s predictive power.","PeriodicalId":268233,"journal":{"name":"2023 19th IEEE International Colloquium on Signal Processing & Its Applications (CSPA)","volume":"39 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-03-03","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"134437985","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

We present a study undertaken on the prediction of three parameters that quantify climatic change, namely Land Surface Temperature, Carbon Monoxide, and Precipitation. Since the three parameters are essentially non stationary in nature, the differencing method has been looked at to fine-tune the output of the prediction models. The two seasonal autoregressive models chosen for the study are Seasonal Auto Regressive Integrated Moving Average (SARIMA) and TBATS, due to non-stationarity of the data. The focus is to predict climate change using predictive models for Indian sub-continent. Region-wise dataset was extracted from Google earth engine using a reducer function. A comparison of the forecasting models using root mean square error and mean absolute scaled error suggests that SARIMA performs better in the case of Land Surface Temperature and Precipitation whereas TBATS performs better for Carbon Monoxide Concentration.","PeriodicalId":268233,"journal":{"name":"2023 19th IEEE International Colloquium on Signal Processing & Its Applications (CSPA)","volume":"21 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-03-03","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124916087","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
