The 33-bus test system by adding five tie line switches is proposed with the objective functions of minimizing total power losses and improving the voltage profiles. The results reveal a reduction in active and reactive power losses at 71.41% and 67.66%, respectively. The optimal sizing of DG and installation location are identified by installing a 2.26 MW DG at bus 29. The magnitudes of voltage profiles and critical buses in the test system have been improved. The proposed BFSPF-GWO algorithm’s performance in DG placement and sizing with feeder reconfiguration has been evaluated by comparing the results with Mixed-integer optimization by GA (MIOGA) and Particle Swarm optimization (PSO).","PeriodicalId":268233,"journal":{"name":"2023 19th IEEE International Colloquium on Signal Processing & Its Applications (CSPA)","volume":"21 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-03-03","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115484184","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It provides geographical information and spatial primitives in the measured objects. Geospatial data can be developed into semantic values with digitalisation, including software and automation. For example, point clouds generated by laser scanners and photogrammetry can be rendered into a 3D model. Rendering is effective for the high richness of details of the object (e.g. buildings) compared to the point clouds, which contain noise and inconsistency of details. However, how significantly the 3D model can improve the disadvantage of the point clouds shall be determined. This paper presents a statistical analysis using hypothesis testing to identify either point clouds or 3D models are significantly different in geometry. Two (2) hypotheses were outlined; null hypothesis and alternate hypothesis between both samples data where significant difference and no significant difference were determined respectively. The statistic calculation was done using twenty (20) sample data extracted from each dataset. Root mean square error (RMSE) shows that point clouds and the 3D model are 0.132 and 0.455, respectively, evaluating that the point cloud is more accurate in geometry than the 3D model. At-test was performed to calculate the probability value. The result shows the probability value of 0.97 is greater than the alpha value of 0.05. Hence, the null hypothesis is failed to reject. This statistic test shows that the point clouds and 3D models are not significantly different in geometry.","PeriodicalId":268233,"journal":{"name":"2023 19th IEEE International Colloquium on Signal Processing & Its Applications (CSPA)","volume":"135 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-03-03","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114752379","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

A weblog is preprocessed to retrieve the web sessions that can be assigned to the clustering techniques. Clustering will group similar user access patterns from web sessions. The main purpose of web session clustering is to evaluate how engaged the users are with the website. Therefore, there are two important parts presented in this paper, which are the performance analysis of different clustering techniques and the utilization of user engagement metrics to describe the user behaviour of each cluster. The clustering techniques, namely k-means, k-medoids, bisecting k-means, and fuzzy c-means are applied on two different weblogs. The clustering qualities of the techniques are then compared using cluster validity indices. Two engagement metrics, which are the number of clicks and the number of sessions are calculated for each cluster to discover its user behaviour.","PeriodicalId":268233,"journal":{"name":"2023 19th IEEE International Colloquium on Signal Processing & Its Applications (CSPA)","volume":"39 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-03-03","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124302416","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Saturnino Urios University’s (FSUU) learning management system (LMS). The researchers investigated and undermined gaps in training and learning using the analytical report. The finding showed that LMS’s purpose is not only to deliver online education but also to provide a wide range of services like acting as a platform for online courses and content and learning activities both asynchronous and synchronous instructions. An LMS may provide classroom management as well as facilitation in the perspective and paradigm of higher education with an instructor-led training system or in the context of a flipped classroom, which ushered in the inevitable arrival of a new normal in part because of this global pandemic, COVID 19. Recent LMSs contain clever algorithms that automatically recommend courses based on a user’s ability profile and extract metadata from various learning resources to produce such effective recommendations, improving s their accuracy. One of the various resources available to instructors to aid in teaching and learning is FSUU Learn. Furthermore, due to its numerous and versatile instructional elements, it is promising even after the epidemic and in face-to-face learning. The purpose of this study is to determine the elements that affect faculty and teachers at the university’s acceptance of the LMS FSUU Learn as well as whether their usage of ICT affects their acceptance of other LMS FSUU Learn features during the peak of pandemic. The results revealed that the actual usage is 67% while the behavioral intention to use the FSUU Learn is 56.8%. The variables used in the study were able to predict 62% of the variance that could explain the acceptance of the FSUU Learn based on the perception of the faculty/teacher users.","PeriodicalId":268233,"journal":{"name":"2023 19th IEEE International Colloquium on Signal Processing & Its Applications (CSPA)","volume":"9 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-03-03","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132833098","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The application of the rising technology in the medical sector has great benefits in the industry, such as the prevention of the spread of highly infectious diseases using distance as a factor. Rooting from the purpose of the said robot, the main focus should be the ease of navigation through achieving the desired trajectory, in order to maximize the functionality, prevent collision, reduce user maneuvering difficulties, and such. Hence, this paper is focused on improving the trajectory errors on the robot navigation performance based on different control system designs specifically, a physical joystick controller and a mobile-based Bluetooth application controller. The design of the joystick is based on a pivot as its base which is directed to all angles and the design of the Bluetooth app is based on fourdirectional buttons that will operate upon clicking, and switching to other buttons to change commands. With this, the researchers conducted linear path and rotational tests using both remote control modes that are based on five varying speed values of 0.75 m/s, 0.5m/s, 0.35m/s, 0.25m/s, and 0.15 m/s. Based on the data analysis, the yielded results showed that using the Bluetooth app lowers the robot’s trajectory error by 50% to 60% compared to using ajoystick to navigate to the desired point. Thus, the researchers concluded that the design of a control system greatly affects the robot navigation in achieving the desired trajectory. Considering the nonsystematic errors, a calibration based on the hardware structure design specifically on the caster wheel is recommended.","PeriodicalId":268233,"journal":{"name":"2023 19th IEEE International Colloquium on Signal Processing & Its Applications (CSPA)","volume":"36 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-03-03","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133227033","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The method involves analyzing the symptoms through handwriting images. Directed Acyclic Graph (DAG) network is one of the intelligence-based technique in handwriting identification. The layer of DAG construction differs from the standard sequential convolution network that exhibits successful image classification. Recently, limited research has been conducted to investigate the learning rate that could affect the DAG network performance in classifying handwriting images. The issue of inconsistent handwriting patterns among dysgraphia children solved by the standard sequential convolution network layer remains different from the DAG operation. Therefore, this study aims to investigate the DAG operations with four acyclic blocks, along with varying the learning rates that could impact the performance of dysgraphia handwriting classification based on synthetic letter images. Experimentally, an improved DAG network model was investigated on four variant values of learning rate; 0.1, 0.01, 0.001, and 0.0001. The performance was measured using a confusion matrix for predicting dysgraphia or non-dysgraphia handwriting. The results obtained the best training accuracy of 99.01% produced by the DAG model at 0. 01learning rate. The testing performance for dysgraphia handwriting classification dropped at the lowest learning rate.","PeriodicalId":268233,"journal":{"name":"2023 19th IEEE International Colloquium on Signal Processing & Its Applications (CSPA)","volume":"11 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-03-03","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"117172600","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The purpose of the study was to investigate how the ultrasonic irradiation effects over the course of 15, 45, and 60 minutes concerned the materials’ optical and structural properties. The grown hematite nanorod arrays were characterized using X-ray diffraction (XRD) for crystallinity identification, field emission scanning electron microscopy (FESEM) for surface morphology and cross-sectional, and ultraviolet-visible-near infrared (UV-vis-NIR) spectroscopy for optical properties investigation. XRD pattern revealed crystalline (rhombohedral) structure of $alpha-F mathrm{e}2mathrm{O}_{3}$ hematite, with no existence of other phases of oxides. The sample with 60 min sonication time has the most porous structure and least thickness of 313 nm. The optical results revealed that the transmittance % increase towards the infrared wavelength spectrum as the sonication time increases. The manipulation of the transmittance and absorption coefficient data has discovered the optical energy bandgap estimation at 2.14 eV for the sample with 15 min sonication, and the bandgap increases to 2.15 eV and 2.16 eV as the sonication time expanded. Urbach energy estimation has shown the minimal value for the sample sonicated for 45 and 60 min, indicating the minimum energy for the atoms to diffuse and occupy the hematite crystal lattice crystal, thus improving the crystallinity of the hematite films. The sensor measurement also verified that hematite nanorod array has a strong potential to be applied as humidity sensor based on its high sensitivity and stability.","PeriodicalId":268233,"journal":{"name":"2023 19th IEEE International Colloquium on Signal Processing & Its Applications (CSPA)","volume":"37 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-03-03","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126162933","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
