Finally, it is shown how financial literacy cushions the negative effects on small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), which are of vital importance in the economy for its contribution to GDP and the generation of formal jobs.","PeriodicalId":267649,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Economics Studies and Research","volume":"70 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-09-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129572255","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Construction is recognized as one of the priorities of the Development Strategy of Kazakhstan until 2050 and is one of the most important tasks of a national nature. The quality of the design depends decisively on the efficiency of funds and resources invested in construction, the investment activity of customers, the construction and operational reliability of facilities, their architectural expressiveness, the solution of social, environmental and other problems of society and the state. For entry into the international economic space, it is necessary to introduce international quality standards for facilities under construction.","PeriodicalId":267649,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Economics Studies and Research","volume":"20 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-09-16","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131592287","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The principal component analysis was used to construct two new measures (banking sector development and stock market development). The Panel Vector Auto-Regressive model developed by Love and Zicchino (2006) and Granger causalities test was used. Results show that the model is endogenous, stable and that the shocks caused by the introduction of the euro and the subprime crisis are significant. By using dummies tools to control the crisis effects, the banking sector development and the stock market development show a bidirectional relationship. The results suggest that governments should implement stability policies of the banking sector development to attract foreign direct investment that impulses economic growth. Future research that evolves the nexus between financial development and economic growth should take into consideration the impact of the economic crisis in the countries.","PeriodicalId":267649,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Economics Studies and Research","volume":"10 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-04-26","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125760194","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

However, there is almost no study that addresses the possible interactions between military effort, environment and growth. Although remarkable are the merits of the contributions proposed within these separate lines of studies, we argue that they don’t get grip on all the aspects of military effort. This lack of connection in research leaves many empty spaces between these different aspects, yet closely interacted. This article intends to contribute to fill this gap.","PeriodicalId":267649,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Economics Studies and Research","volume":"9 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-11-13","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130044403","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The analyses are done by using entropy measures that can help with predicting regional employment dynamics. Our finding suggests that the Shannon entropy and Tsallis entropy are significant predictors for the size of the employment downturn. The Rényi entropy is also a useful predictor of the rate of employment downturn in recession phase. When the Shannon entropy was growing through the recovery phase before the crisis, regions experience a higher rate of employment decrease in the following recession period and high Shannon entropy inferred the smaller employment downturn. The results indicate the different role of the Tsallis entropy that plays a different role in comparison to Shannon entropy. The higher the Tsallis entropy, the more severely the region was affected. In conclusion, the use of entropic measures as resilience indicators in terms of regional policy is a significant predictor of regional resilience.","PeriodicalId":267649,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Economics Studies and Research","volume":"50 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-06-18","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"134193672","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
