Material: This study included 9 students from the Physical Education and Sports Faculty of Timisoara, who took the in-depth training course in a branch of sports- skiing, taking part in the program and activities specific to this course, as well as in the training carried out at altitude. Method: The batch was evaluated in two moments (T0 and T1), using the following assessment tests: Yo -Yo, Roman seat in isometry, high jump evaluated via the OPTOJUMP device, long jump test. The data was processed in Excel (v2205) and the statistical processing was performed using the Student T-test. It was considered that the results are statistically significant for values of p <0.05. Results: The progress recorded was quantified by normalizing the absolute values and was expresse d as a percentage as follows: Yo-Yo= -1% ± 0.08 STD; RS= + 168% ± 1.26STD; HJ-Squat Jump= -4% ± 0.16STD; HJ- countermovement jump= -2% ± 0.14STD; HJ- countermovement jump-free arms = + 2% ± 0.14STD; LJ= + 6% ± 0.04STD; LJ SLJ R= + 9% ± 0.08STD; LJ SLJ L= + 10% ± 0.08STD. Conclusions: From the evaluations performed at sea level, at T0 and T1, a noticeable improvement in the muscular strength of the lower limbs has resulted via the following tests: the Roman seat in isometry, long jump with bilateral support, long jump with unilateral support on either the left or right side; registering a significant statistical (p). However, there was no significant improvement noticed on the rest of the tests.","PeriodicalId":267204,"journal":{"name":"Timisoara Physical Education and Rehabilitation Journal","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-06-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115199274","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This recovery can be optimized by using transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation (TENS) in addition to recovery exercises. This survey aims to prove the beneficial effects of electrical stimulation in the early recovery of patients with hip prosthesis. Material and method: Searches in 4 databases (PubMed, Google Scholar, Web of Science and ResearchGate) have led to the identification of 38 articles as follows: in PubMed - 5, in Google Scholar - 18, in Web of Science - 11, in ResearchGate – 4. Results: The use of TENS in the early recovery stage after hip arthroplasty is relatively little covered in the literature. Of all the articles studied 4 articles meet the inclusion criteria. The beneficial effects of applying TENS on atrophied muscles are: increased muscle strength, decreased edema, and improved functionality. Conclusions: Although it cannot be recommended as the only treatment method in the early recovery stage after hip arthroplasty, in combination with physical exercises, applying TENS immediately after surgery may help repair atrophied muscles.","PeriodicalId":267204,"journal":{"name":"Timisoara Physical Education and Rehabilitation Journal","volume":"30 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-06-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127169641","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The aim of this review is to summarize the scientific literature that has examined the importance and impact of exercise in the development of balance in primary school children. Methods: To conduct this study, a systematic search of the electronic databases Pubmed, Web of Science, ProQuest and Scopus was conducted to identify relevant literature. Titles and abstracts of all records were checked for eligibility according to, inclusion and exclusion criteria, the process of study selection was documented in the PRISMA 2009 flowchart, in addition a Google Scholar search was performed to find additional literature. Results: The literature search identified a total of 680 studies potentially suitable for balance analysis, after title screening and full text eligibility analysis, a total of 10 articles remained suitable for inclusion. Data from a total of 1549 subjects including 865 boys and 684 girls were eligible for analysis, the quality assessment showed that the majority of included studies met most of the assessment tool criteria for these studies (age, sex, height and weight). Conclusions: The relationships between balance and other motor skills and the impact of regular physical activity on the maintenance of different types of balance is one of the main reasons why this motor skill should be improved and developed during the process of teaching physical education using physical education content.","PeriodicalId":267204,"journal":{"name":"Timisoara Physical Education and Rehabilitation Journal","volume":"93 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-06-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127558587","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

To gain muscle mass, this principle consists of progress in weight, number of repetitions, frequency and sets. Aim Although it is a widely used principle, trough our study, we wanted to ascertain if, after training sessions applying Weider’s principle of progressive loading (PPO), we can highlight significant increases in some muscle groups (chest Mc, and back Mb ), in non-performance subjects. Materials and methods One sample (N= 8 subjects, 8 men, with a mean age of 20.4 ± 0.74 years), trained for 12 weeks with a frequency of 4 workouts per week, in a sports center from Arad county. Muscle perimeters were measured using a metric band. Subjects underwent bodybuilding-specific training with a predominant focus on PPO. Measurements of the pectoral muscle (Mc) and back muscle (Mb) were carried out in two stages: an initial test (Ci, Bi ) and a final test (Cf, Bf), to see at the end of the experiment, if there are improvements. Results After 12 weeks of training, the final results indicate an increase of the average of both chest and back muscles (Ci 102.6, Cf 107.4 and Bi 109.6, Bf 113.8). Although the values of the T-test, at both groups, are identical, it seems that the PPO effective size (ω2) is larger in the back (14%) compared to the chest (12%). Conclusion Within the limits of our experiment, we consider that by only using the PPO, significant improvements can be obtained on the targeted muscle groups.","PeriodicalId":267204,"journal":{"name":"Timisoara Physical Education and Rehabilitation Journal","volume":"92 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124571074","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Specific movements of physical exercise, such as walking, running, jumping, throwing, climbing, swimming, dancing, skiing, etc., can be performed by preschoolers without excessive physical stress, developing their skills and gradually preparing them for performance. This stage of childhood offers the best opportunities for acquiring new motor skills. The scientific approach started from the finding that, although the ski training of children is possible and recommended at preschool age, however, following the analysis of the literature, a lack of teaching methodology for this age group can be found, both at the national and international level. Aim The paper aims to propose an educational model specific to this age group, which can be used in teaching the discipline of alpine skiing, in sports clubs and associations or instructor associations. Methods The study is based on the modeling method, applied to the physical training activity, also considering the psychomotor features specific to the preschool child. The proposed methodology contains tests and testing standards aiming the general physical training of the children. Results The objectives pursued by applying this model consist in forming or developing both general and specific motor qualities, as well as educating the coordinative capacities. By applying this instructive-educational model in the physical training of preschooler children, an increase of their sports performance was demonstrated, which is verified by the results obtained at national competitions, intended for the specific categories of their age. Conclusions The model of the alpine skier for this age must consider the particularities specific to the age, and the learning methods must be adequate, rational and flexible, to ensure an easy learning, assimilable to playing activities.","PeriodicalId":267204,"journal":{"name":"Timisoara Physical Education and Rehabilitation Journal","volume":"6 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"117054927","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

More students should engage in physical activity every day of the week. Participating in physical activity from the sport lessons is very safe for most students. Aim In this study we want to ascertain the health status of the students at the beginning of the academic year, in order to have a more efficient didactic design and to identify the possible medical conditions that can generate health risks during physical exercises. Methods The study was performed using the PARQ+ questionnaire (The Physical Activity Readiness Questionnaire) and body mass index. These were applied to a number of 235 subjects, students in higher medical education. Results The results showed that 71.07% of the students have no health problems and are fit for physical effort, and 28.93% of them were identified with various activity-limiting medical conditions. The results obtained by calculating the BMI show us that 69.79% of the subjects are in the normal weight category. Conclusion In conclusion, for most students, physical activity does not involve any risk. Taking into account the high percentage of those with different conditions, knowing the health status of students should represent an important milestone in the activity of teachers, and help them eliminate the risk factors. Thus, almost 3 out of 10 students should check with a doctor about the risks associated with exercising before they begin to become more physically active.","PeriodicalId":267204,"journal":{"name":"Timisoara Physical Education and Rehabilitation Journal","volume":"57 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124536637","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Psychotherapists believe that the relationship between these 2 parameters can be directly proportional and, moreover, can go both ways, as they have systematically observed in the general population. Methods For this purpose, a number of 45 descriptive studies were selected from the cybernetic literature to estimate the level of anxiety in competitive athletes, the variables that may influence this parameter and the level of performance achieved as a result. Without therapeutic intervention, anxiety parameters and its covariates were assessed to detect the influence on sport performance and predict the outcome of a competition based on these concepts. Results The systematic review of these studies revealed that competitive anxiety has a major and statistically significant influence on the competitive situation a an athlete, having an important action on their career in the short and long term. Conclusions This analysis has succeeded in demonstrating that a certain degree of anxiety, within the limits imposed by the game experience and through fine psychological mechanisms, can become an asset in terms of achieving the chosen goal in the athlete’s career.","PeriodicalId":267204,"journal":{"name":"Timisoara Physical Education and Rehabilitation Journal","volume":"123 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-06-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114660657","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
