The use of chemometric tools, such as orthogonal signal correction (OSC), principal component analysis (PCA), partial least squares to latent structure discriminant analysis (PLS-DA), and OSC-PLS-DA make the data dimensionality reduction and interpretation much easier. Here we showed a system method based on PCA, OSC-PLS-DA for metabonomic data analysis; Furthermore, the loading plots of mass data were used for the biomarkers discovery. As an example, dataset from Liu Wei Di Huang Pills administrated rats urine collected by LC/MS/MS was used to demonstrate this method. Compared with the solid pulmonary nodules which have regular shape, clear edge and high density, the detection of the nonsolid pulmonary nodules with irregular shape, blurry edge and low contrast to lung parenchyma is more difficult. In order to detect the nonsolid pulmonary nodules using CAD systems, the image enhancement for nonsolid pulmonary nodules' contrast to lung parenchyma is necessary. Therefore, we performed an experimental investigation of fuzzy enhancement algorithms for nonsolid pulmonary nodules in this paper. This paper applies three methods, which are linear trend method, H-P filtering method and Band2-Pass filtering method, to analyze periodicity and predictability of its fluctuation, and contrast predicted value with actual value, based on the data of Shanghai Composite Index from 2007-2009. We find that each of these three methods can give a prediction on the Shanghai Composite Index within a certain range.
