This study applies the newly developed WebQualTM framework developed by Loiacono et al. (2002), to empirically assess if the quality of Australian Website’s impact the purchase intentions and site revisit intentions in electronic markets across three industry groups. The study further highlights relevant managerial implications for managing Website quality, and directions for future research are discussed.","PeriodicalId":265725,"journal":{"name":"International Conference on Information Technology in Asia","volume":"163 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-07-21","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114372071","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

However, little empirical work has been done on what actually constitutes a good PDA or WAP web-page. This paper ranks a number of PDA web-pages from different categories empirically and correlates the result against the design metrics present. The findings are then compared against a similar set of experiments for PC web-pages. The results of this comparison suggest that, as well as omitting, summarizing and converting individual multimedia objects in the web-page to a less resource intensive form, the design metrics need to be changed during adaptation to enhance the presentation of web-content on non-PC devices. The paper concludes by investigating the effect of applying some suitable changes to the design metrics on web=page content chunks, which form the basic units in automatic content adaptation systems.","PeriodicalId":265725,"journal":{"name":"International Conference on Information Technology in Asia","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-07-21","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129020119","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Like all earlier weightless neural network models, this network learns in one pass through the data This new weightless neural network has shown significant gains in the classifiction accuracy over the earlier Deterministic RAN Network (DARN), on a variety of problems. In addition, some comparisons between the DARN and the proposed network are presented. This will also include some evidence on how a standard Multilayer Perceptron network would behave on the same data sets. Finally, hardware implementation issues are discussed.","PeriodicalId":265725,"journal":{"name":"International Conference on Information Technology in Asia","volume":"2 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-07-21","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129192102","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It summarizes the analysis of the collaborative design activities around the table. Modelled after a household coffee table, DiamondTouch provides users with an informal environment where users can sit on comfortable chairs while interacting with the table concurrently. The framework of distributed cognition was used as an analytic tool which demonstrated how the communicative events around the tabletop were used to bring the design representations into coordination with one another and how information processing activity was performed. Researcher examined the relationship between actors, artifacts, and the settings in which interactions occur. Within a single conceptual framework, the representations flowing through functional systems as objects of analysis could be identified and allowed researcher to reason about design artifacts and cognitive artifacts. These helped in identifying characteristics which could enhance the usability of DiamondTouch, and potential weaknesses of the tabletop.","PeriodicalId":265725,"journal":{"name":"International Conference on Information Technology in Asia","volume":"181 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-04-26","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"120947742","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The main idea is to build a meta level analyser from a number of levels constructed over time from a data stream. We present the general architecture for such a system and an application to classification. This architecture is an instance of the general wrapper idea allowing us to reuse standard batch learning algorithms in an inherently incremental learning environment. By artificially generating data sources we demonstrate that a hierarchy containing a mixture of models is able to adapt over time to the source of the data. In these experiments the hierarchies use an elementary performance based replacement policy and unweighted voting for making classification decisions.","PeriodicalId":265725,"journal":{"name":"International Conference on Information Technology in Asia","volume":"29 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-04-26","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131178612","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Although many organizations have invested heavily in Big Data technologies, there still seems to be a lack of common reference framework for organizations to derive business values and answer critical business questions from Big Data Analytics (BDA). In this paper, a vendor-neutral and technology-agnostic Big Data Analytics Activity Reference Framework is presented to close the gap. The framework describes the high level Big Data Analytics activities and serves as a reference to practitioners to decide on the selection of the infrastructure, platform and computing layers. This reference framework is aimed at serving as a launching pad for researchers and implementers to customize their respective Big Data Analytics projects before implementing with the relevant technology and tools.","PeriodicalId":265725,"journal":{"name":"International Conference on Information Technology in Asia","volume":"100 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115757646","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
