The basis of the author’s approach is the consideration of the individual as the main subject of media activity practices that actualise the personal resources of Internet users associated with their readiness for effective communication, for production and consumption of media content in modern institutional conditions of the media ecosystem (considering existing risks and limitations). A theoretical model of adaptive potential is proposed, according to which such a potential is a complex multi-level education containing three successive levels: value, dispositional and practical. It is shown that each level consists of a number of sublevels, of including the types of values, dispositions and users’ practices prevailing in the media ecosystem. Based on the development of these operational indicators and a special scale, the author’s methodology for the adaptive potential sociological measurement of the individual in the media ecosystem is presented. According to the results of the author’s sociological research with the usage of cluster analysis (online survey of social networks and messengers’ users, N = 900), four clusters of media users were found, differing in the level of development and structure of adaptive potential. These clusters are characterised as “cautious users”, “theorists”, “unadapted”, “adapted”. The empirical objects were Chinese citizens studying at Lomonosov Moscow State University and currently located on the territory of Russia. In the research, the online questionnaire method provided answers to questions about the attitude of Chinese students to organisation of the educational process, to the practices of their interaction and communication in small study groups. It has been empirically proven that the attitude of Chinese students to any form of education depends on how much the issue of overcoming the language barrier and building intercultural communication has been resolved in a particular educational practice. At the same time, a positive attitude towards online learning is associated by Chinese students with the opportunity to study without having to stay in the territory of the Russian Federation, and a negative one is associated with communication problems, in particular, with the lack of direct communication with a teacher or supervisor. It was revealed that the most psychologically comfortable leaning forms for Chinese students are online classes. There is significant evidence of this category of students’ preference for a separate position, being inside their foreign cultural group and social circle. The main study purpose is to identify the key functions of the ethnic community, the specifics of the diaspora not only as a socio-cultural phenomenon, but also as an active and influential subject which can play a decisive role in communication processes. The authors turn to the analysis of the accumulated theoretical material, cite as an example the results of a sociological study conducted with a questionnaire survey. The results of the sociological study showed that for foreign students who study at universities in a provincial city (Kursk) and a million-plus city (St. Petersburg), the diaspora, as well as the opportunity to be part of it, plays a fundamental role. For students who have come to study in a small town, the diaspora is significant. There they can find help and support, new forms of leisure, obtain enough information about rules and regulations of the new community. Students who arrive to study in a big city experience cultural shock, may be lost and need special support due to a long period of adaptation. The novelty of the sociological research lies in the fact that a comparative analysis of the diasporic significance for foreign students studying in Kursk and in St. Petersburg is given. The obtained data are used to analyse the current situation in the educational environment. The obtained results are interpreted through a humanistic paradigm, in which technologies are considered as a tool for realising human potential, in particular, the potential of the older age group. In the course of the study, a comparative analysis was conducted by gender and age groups. The main conclusions drawn from the scientific work results are as follows. Firstly, it is the older generation that assumes the role of “technological optimists”, unlike younger and middle-aged people who have more concerns about the development of information technology. This applies both to everyday life and to the national problems of the increment of scientific knowledge. Secondly, the older generation noticeably need the humanistic aspect of technology more. This includes distrust of full automation, for example, driverless cars, as well as the need for a tutor and mentor when mastering new technologies. At the same time, it is the elderly generation that expresses the greatest trust in people around them. The article indicates that trust allows developing a communication mechanism and defining how effectively social relations are built. Besides, the author uses traditional sociological research methods: structuralist and institutional approaches, social capital theory. Trust is one of the socio-psychological foundations of social harmony that determines the dynamics of basic social processes development, the integrity of society, its ability to overcome the arising difficulties. With the help of the array of secondary data analysis presented on the websites of domestic sociological centres, it is shown how in the Russian society the importance of national consolidation is clearly increasing. It is based on the increased trust at all levels of relationships: interpersonal, intergroup, institutional, and regional. This is due to the fact that Russia is one of the most multinational states in the world. If citizens do not share certain common goals and objectives, then this, as a rule, will negatively affect the interethnic consolidation of the regional or entire community of the country most. Undoubtedly, the phenomenon of trust is especially important in the transforming society. It exists in the multiethical environment of citizens and, first of all, directly at the regional level of the institutions, functioning in Russia. Trust is an indicator of values similarity and values systems of the Russian population. Today there are many examples of the decrease of trust to certain institutions, however, the approval rating regarding the activities of the President, the Government of the country, the Russian army is increasing. Thus, a positive attitude of Russians towards the political system and power structures is recorded. The authors provide a detailed description of the digital environment use to achieve the goals of promoting Russian education on the world market and activating “soft power”. The article identifies problems in the field of universities’ digital IT infrastructure that create certain difficulties for the implementation of education in a digital environment and negatively affect the competitiveness of Russian education. The study presents methodological approaches both for preventing the possibility of the possible emergence of a sociocultural gap and intercultural dissonance, and for transmitting the presentation of the basic traditional Russian cultural humanitarian values and attitudes among foreign students, as well as for social partnership cooperation with regional authorities of the region. The developed tools in the field of forming friendly relations with foreign partners will become an element of the management system that will promote the Russian education system in international markets, form a positive image of the state and increase the level of trust in the institution of public authority. With its help, it is possible to solve tasks of varying complexity: from generating ideas for promotion to creating advertising creatives. The research problem is that in order to work effectively, companies need to understand which neural networks can most optimally solve the tasks of marketing activities. To do this, it is necessary to define a list of such neural networks. The authors consider the use of Al in marketing communications and analyse neural networks that can be used in business. The study purpose is to form a relevant list of neural networks for the implementation of marketing activities of the company. The most popular neural networks, their functionality and features were studied. The domestic and foreign experience analysis of using neural networks in the marketing activities of companies is conducted. Recommendations for more efficient use of neural networks are proposed. Based on the conducted research, a relevant list of neural networks for the implementation of the company’s marketing activities was determined. The methodological basis of the article was formed of publications on the problems of using neural networks in business and marketing sphere. The works of domestic and foreign researchers were studied. The following theoretical research methods were used in the article: analysis, synthesis, problematisation. However, sometimes these subcultures become countercultures, that is, they carry values that contradict the dominant culture of society. Modern youth spends a significant part of their time on the Internet, and trash streams are one of the types of Internet leisure. The purpose of this article is to clarify what such a subcultural phenomenon as trash streams is, how they are evaluated by young people and representatives of the older generation. In the course of the study, four focus groups and two project sessions were conducted with schoolchildren and students, as well as an online survey of 8,942 respondents of various age categories. The vast majority of respondents, regardless of age, believe that it is necessary to prohibit or at least limit the broadcast of trash streams. Nevertheless, there is a fairly significant part of respondents who believe that “people voluntarily participate in trash streams, this is their right, and the ban will only increase demand. The respondents’ opinions also differ when answering the following questions: “Do trash streams have customers?”, “Are trash streams dangerous or not?”.
