Traditionally, ports operational efficacy is\u0000evaluated only on basis of throughput, a case in point being the Lloyds International\u0000Port ranking. However, we do not concur with this approach and adopt a multicriteria methodology.\u0000Methodology: Three criteria - throughput, physical infrastructure, and performance\u0000are used to assess the operational efficacy of the ports. TOPSIS augmented with the\u0000“entropy weight” is used to devise weights for the chosen criteria and overall\u0000operational efficacy for each port is calculated.\u0000Results: The study revealed that infrastructure plays a critical role in the overall\u0000operational efficacy of the port. Karachi port is behind the contemporary ports in the\u0000Indian Ocean and the Persian Gulf because of its inadequate infrastructure. The\u0000results also highlighted that Jawaharlal Nehru Port ranked highest in considered\u0000ports while Port of Mundra ranked the worst.\u0000Practical Implications: The study can provide an insight to the port users about the\u0000competitive advantage amongst ports. Moreover, it also identifies the areas that can\u0000be improved for better efficiency.\u0000Originality: The research article is novel because no similar study has been conducted\u0000specifically on the ports in the Indian Ocean and the Persian Gulf.

This study, therefore, investigates whether employees\u0000in various cultures react differently to psychological contract breaches.\u0000Drawing on the GLOBE cultural framework, we expected that national\u0000cultural practices moderate the relationship between PCB and a key work\u0000attitude (such as organizational commitment) and job behaviors (i.e. in-role\u0000performance, turnover intention, and counterproductive behaviours). Using\u0000meta-analytic data from 176 studies, we found that the results largely support\u0000our hypotheses. The study updates and expands prior meta-analyses on\u0000psychological contracts and opens a new area of inquiry by showing that\u0000cultural practices at the national level can influence the processes of how\u0000psychological contract breaches affect employee behaviors at the individual\u0000level.

This note present an industry overview through a practitioner's perspective and discuss both global trends and technologies in Pakistan's context. It goes on to make recommendations on how specific actions can transform our industry into an instrument of national power and commercial value. \u0000Key Points:\u0000Pakistan's video market is a combination of 100 million individual connections\u0000(TVs and mobile devices). This view is different than the regulatory focus on\u0000traditional TV Households\u0000Growth of our market is linked to a recalibration of the current regulatory\u0000frameworks. Pakistan should open its doors to foreign investments in content\u0000production & broadcast.\u0000Distribution segment of the video industry is its lynchpin. Nationwide\u0000distribution licenses with hybrid offering (traditional & OTT) are likely to be\u0000commercially successful in future.\u0000Pakistan must grow its video industry as an instrument of national power. For\u0000doing so, it must create a combination of foreign investments, indigenization of\u0000skillset and technology through industry-academia partnerships, and an\u0000enabling regulatory environment.

This\u0000article reviews eleven SH!TIFICATION tendencies we have and provides\u0000recommendations on how to overcome them. A particular focus is given to the silent\u0000update tendency, which consists in making changes without telling customers. The\u0000changes are not supposed to have an impact on the customer experience, but the\u0000chocolate bar and the GPS navigation cases highlight how and why these silent updates present a risk for customer's health, safety, and loyalty.
