At transmitter it contains OFDM packet generation, encoding of Alamouti STBC and DUC, and DDC. At receiver, the system contains some necessary receiver algorithms, such as OFDM synchronization, channel estimation, decoding of Alamouti STBC, soft demapper and other components. In addition, the designed platform has greater feasibility and can be used for performance evaluation of newly developed signal processing algorithms.","PeriodicalId":263741,"journal":{"name":"2011 Third International Conference on Communications and Mobile Computing","volume":"301 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2011-04-18","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131766073","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

If the coherence map is not obtained, we can use three kinds of quality map to determine the observation equation noise variance. This paper respectively uses pseudo-coherence, phase derivative variance and maximum phase gradient obtained from the pseudo-correlation map, phase derivative variance map and maximum phase gradient map to determine the noise variance. We apply Kalman filter phase unwrapping method for the interferometry synthetic aperture radar data in the two different conditions: the steep terrain and the flat terrain. And we analyze and compare the results in two aspects: the visual analysis and the quantitative analysis. The experiment results show that the result using the phase derivative variance to Kalman filter phase unwrapping is most reliable in the steep terrain, the result using the pseudo-correlation map as the quality map is most precise in the flat terrain.","PeriodicalId":263741,"journal":{"name":"2011 Third International Conference on Communications and Mobile Computing","volume":"3 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2011-04-18","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"117192287","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It is shown that if the SM method is used to eliminate the frequency spectral redundancy, the modulation error rate (MER) performance is lower than CM's. However, the CM scheme is considered to be higher computational complexity. To resolve the existing drawbacks, the improved staggering modulation (ISM) method based on staggered quadrature amplitude modulated (SQAM) is proposed. Utilizing the interpolation filter instead of the time shifting filter, ISM approach simplifies the complexity of modulation without loss of the MER performance.","PeriodicalId":263741,"journal":{"name":"2011 Third International Conference on Communications and Mobile Computing","volume":"36 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2011-04-18","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123236925","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It could be a greater challenge when the shared server becomes overloaded or enforces priority of the common resource among applications in such an environment. In this paper, we propose Apad, a feedback-based resource allocation system which can dynamically adjust the resource shares to multiple virtual machine nodes in order to meet performance target on shared virtualized infrastructure. To evaluate our system design, we built a test bed hosting several virtual machines which employed Xen Virtual Machine Monitor (VMM), and using Apache server along with its workload-generated tool. Our experiment results indicate that our system is able to detect and adapt to resource requirement that changes over time and allocate virtualized resources accordingly to achieve application-level Quality of Service (QoS).","PeriodicalId":263741,"journal":{"name":"2011 Third International Conference on Communications and Mobile Computing","volume":"25 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2011-04-18","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123661376","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In this paper, we first investigate the processing gain of spreading signal and analyze its expression. Then, by increasing signal bandwidth or symbol period infinitely, we obtain that the processing gain is bounded, and the maximum processing gain is determined by the channel parameters and the energy-per-bit to noise density ratio (Eb/N0). By analysis and simulation, it is shown that the processing gain is not more than 30dB, when the spreading signal relative to BPSK, with Eb/N0 20dB, the maximum Doppler shift 100Hz, and the negative exponential factor 5E-6, is transmitted in rich scattering multipath fading channels.","PeriodicalId":263741,"journal":{"name":"2011 Third International Conference on Communications and Mobile Computing","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2011-04-18","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115898088","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Though network security appliances are widely deployed to resist these attacks, there is a lack of dynamic and collaborative platform to flexibly configure and manage all the security elements. In this paper, we present NetSecu, a platform based on Java and Click Router, which can dynamically enable, disable and configure security elements such as firewall, IPS and AV. Furthermore, a collaborate module is implemented to integrate individual NetSecu platform into a Secure Overlay Network, providing collaborative traffic control against DDoS attack. Equipped with collaborate module, NetSecu platforms are organized in a tree hierarchy where each level node is registered to its father node. A Central Management Site acts as the root node for large scale deployment. The policy is distributed from higher level to lower level NetSecu nodes, while security events are aggregated from lower level to higher level. Performance evaluation shows that our NetSecu system can achieve line rate with and without security function. Finally we deploy the NetSecu platform in multiple sites, where our design is fully demonstrated and tested.","PeriodicalId":263741,"journal":{"name":"2011 Third International Conference on Communications and Mobile Computing","volume":"123 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2011-04-18","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126871776","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Cloud computing is to utilize the computing resources (service nodes) on the network to facilitate the execution of complicated tasks that require large-scale computation. Thus, the selecting nodes for executing a task in the cloud computing must be considered. However, in this study, a three-phases scheduling in a hierarchical cloud computing network is advanced.
