The need for electricity is expressed with the demand for electric power in function of time. The purpose of this paper is to find a mathematical model for the relation between electric Power and Time, using linear regression through the programming language R. In order to find this model we used electric Power data from the Load Profile of an electrical substation (110/35/10 kV). The aggregations of data are done through R for acquiring and analyzing daily, weekly and monthly loads as well as calculation of statistical parameters.","PeriodicalId":262789,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the ITI 2013 35th International Conference on Information Technology Interfaces","volume":"6 11 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2013-06-24","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127513177","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Although much research has looked at how communication technologies enhance information transfer during playback of video, consideration of technical issues seems incongruous if we do not consider how presentation mode affects information assimilated by, and satisfaction of, learners with a range of individual differences, and from a range of different backgrounds. This paper considers whether a relationship exists between the media and presentation mode used in recorded content, and the level of information assimilation and satisfaction perceived by learners with a range of individual differences. Results aim to inform learning practitioners whether generic delivery is justified, or whether tailoring content delivery enhances the experience of specific learner groups.","PeriodicalId":262789,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the ITI 2013 35th International Conference on Information Technology Interfaces","volume":"20 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2013-06-24","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127278580","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

As case study we consider ResearchGate and SEE University academic staff. First we describe the methodology used to crawl and create an academic-academic network depending from their fields of interest. We then calculate and discuss four social network analysis centrality measures (closeness, betweenness, degree, and PageRank) for entities in this network. In addition to these metrics, we have also investigated grouping of individuals, based on automatic clustering depending from their reciprocal relationships.","PeriodicalId":262789,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the ITI 2013 35th International Conference on Information Technology Interfaces","volume":"86 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2013-06-24","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132799019","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

While our proposed approach is generally applicable across a variety of modeling schemas, we will discuss it in the concrete context of UML use cases for process modeling and Entity Relationship diagrams for data modeling. We illustrate our approach through an example of integrating a step-by-step process model and the corresponding data model at the attribute level detail. We discuss the potential benefits of this approach by illustrating its potential for providing better conceptual testing early in the analysis process, ensuring better semantic quality of both process and data models.","PeriodicalId":262789,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the ITI 2013 35th International Conference on Information Technology Interfaces","volume":"42 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2013-06-24","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127453932","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This problem is usually solved by use of automated systems that check the produced output for some test cases for every solution. In our paper we present a novel approach of representation of the programming codes as vectors, and use of these vectors in data mining analysis that could produce better assessment of the solutions. We present the results of cluster analysis that go up to 88% of correctly clustered items on average.","PeriodicalId":262789,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the ITI 2013 35th International Conference on Information Technology Interfaces","volume":"43 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2013-06-24","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116828943","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

These failures are very high because of the problems encountered in the implementation phase of a business transformation project. Traditional business managers often lack the skills necessary for the implementation of innovation and technology; these skills are needed to complete successfully the strategically important innovation and technologies related projects. One of the most risky factors in transforming a traditional Business Environment (BE) into an innovative and dynamic BE is the role of the business and e-business Transformation Manager (BTM). The role of such managers has not been sufficiently investigated in a holistic and educational manner. The current authors' research main goal is to define the business transformation managers' optimal profiles. The focus is on the influence of BTM's hands-on capacities, experiences, background, knowledge management and education. The BTM has to intervene in the complex process of integrating innovation in a business transformation project. The research outcomes can be applied to select and/or train BTMs in e-business environments. This industry is living highly turbulent times and transformations happen frequently, more than in any other traditional industry. In this first article of a planned series, the research background is presented.","PeriodicalId":262789,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the ITI 2013 35th International Conference on Information Technology Interfaces","volume":"185 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2013-06-24","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121924046","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In other words, beyond a certain level of OO inheritance depth, are there significant differences between the composition and characteristics of classes at the two levels. Anecdotally, level three has been proposed as that psychological cliff-edge, but no empirical evidence exists to support or refute that theory. In this paper, we analyzed data from nine open-source systems to determine whether significant differences between classes at level three and those at level four existed. We looked at the number of methods, extent of coupling and cohesion in the classes at depth three and compared that with the number of methods at depth four. Results suggested no significant differences in any of the three measures. The data thus refutes the myth that there might be a “cliff-edge” level of inheritance.","PeriodicalId":262789,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the ITI 2013 35th International Conference on Information Technology Interfaces","volume":"38 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2013-06-24","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129065568","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The increasing number of mobile display ads is based on HTML5 web standard. The openness of this standard makes it easier to extract some additional ad features, such as animation, video, sound and other components. We suggest using these features in conjunction with global image features, user features and publisher features to improve click prediction. We have applied a click prediction algorithm on real world data, collected during mobile advertising campaigns, which included more than 1000 ads. We present the results of our experiments and suggest further work in dynamic optimization of mobile ads, based on the findings.","PeriodicalId":262789,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the ITI 2013 35th International Conference on Information Technology Interfaces","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2013-06-24","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130902852","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
