However, the location flexibility of the flying UAV makes inter-frame CSS among multiple spectrum sensing nodes inefficient, specifically the CSS performance cannot be guaranteed under the detection delay constraint. In this paper, we formulate an intra-frame CSS to undertake cooperation between multiple mini-slots. Moreover, considering the interference control of the primary network and the spectrum requirements of UAVs, we are motivated by the sequential detection to make an in-depth analysis on the cost and benefit of the intra-frame CSS under the detection delay constraint. Furthermore, we formulate and verify the utility function based on the cost and benefit. Simulation results corroborate our theoretical analyses on the intra-frame CSS under the detection delay constraint, and verify the correctness and effectiveness of the cost and benefit for UAVs. Comparing to the traditional inter-frame CSS among multiple UAV sensing nodes, numerical results are also presented the superiority of our proposal with respect to the performance and utility.","PeriodicalId":262379,"journal":{"name":"2021 IEEE Wireless Communications and Networking Conference Workshops (WCNCW)","volume":"5 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-03-29","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121828107","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

First, the physical layer chain key is generated by performing XOR operation on the updated key and the previous chain key, where the updated key is obtained by the current channel state information. The proposed scheme uses the chain key as the authentication root, and the authentication relationship is continuously transferred as the chain grows. Then, CRC is used to realize identity authentication and message verification simultaneously. Finally, the derivation based on information theory proves the security of chain key for encryption and authentication. The simulation results show that the proposed chain key scheme can leak less information and have a lower probability of successful attack than the traditional physical layer key in the correlated channel scenarios.","PeriodicalId":262379,"journal":{"name":"2021 IEEE Wireless Communications and Networking Conference Workshops (WCNCW)","volume":"51 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-03-29","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122820110","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In this paper, we investigate a multi-unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) enabled space-air-ground wireless powered communication network (SAG-WPCN) where UAVs are dispatched as decode-and-forward (DF) relays to assist the communication from the ground nodes (GNs) to the satellite, and equipped with wireless power transfer payload providing ubiquitous wireless energy for GNs. This paper aims to maximize the system sum rate by jointly optimizing the time slot division, subchannel allocation, power control and UAV relays deployment. However, the optimization problem is a non-convex problem which is difficult to be solved directly. Therefore, we apply the alternating optimization method and successive convex approximation (SCA) technique to transform the non-convex problem into a tractable form. Subsequently, a near optimal multi-variable alternating iterative algorithm is proposed to obtain a resource allocation scheme of the overall problem. It is revealed that the proposed algorithm significantly improves the performance in terms of the system sum rate compared with other benchmark schemes.","PeriodicalId":262379,"journal":{"name":"2021 IEEE Wireless Communications and Networking Conference Workshops (WCNCW)","volume":"141 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-03-29","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128982228","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The staring beam scheme changes the beam direction by constantly updating the weight of phased array elements, which can greatly reduce the internal beam switching. This paper mainly studies the beamforming algorithm of spaceborne phased array staring at a single area and multiple area. The digital phase configuration algorithm is used as the gaze beam shaping algorithm. Aiming at the problem of high sidelobe in the beam pattern, the formation of the phased array antenna is improved. And the round caliber Taylor amplitude weighting method is used to reduce the sidelobe, which can improve the main sidelobe ratio. Also we have achieved multi-beamforming. Then the gaze process of single target area and multi-target area is simulated. Within the 3dB beam range, effective coverage can be achieved.","PeriodicalId":262379,"journal":{"name":"2021 IEEE Wireless Communications and Networking Conference Workshops (WCNCW)","volume":"137 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-03-29","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116147050","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

However, the existence of stragglers (nodes with less computing resources) and the heavy communication among nodes are two main bottlenecks in distributed systems which can affect the performance of distributed computing. Previous work [1] has proposed a unified framework to deal with the above two issues simultaneously in wireline scenarios. In this paper, we extend the framework in [1] to wireless distributed computing, where mobile devices are connected through an access point and collaborate for calculating massive distributed matrix multiplication. We allow a subset of devices first finishing local computations to participate in the output of the calculated result, which means the remaining slow devices (stragglers) are mitigated. In our extended framework, the assignment of output vectors is flexible, where the number of output vectors assigned for different devices can be different when the total output vectors cannot be divided equally among them. And the uplink transmission bandwidth from mobile devices to the access point is reduced compared to the wireline bandwidth in [1] due to different transmission scheme. After the uplink transmission, the downlink transmission bandwidth from the access point to mobile devices is further reduced by new coding technique. Furthermore, we prove information-theoretic lower bounds on uplink and downlink transmission loads respectively for flexible assignment of output vectors. And we derive the constant gaps when all devices finish their local computations if total output vectors can be assigned equally among them.","PeriodicalId":262379,"journal":{"name":"2021 IEEE Wireless Communications and Networking Conference Workshops (WCNCW)","volume":"39 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-03-29","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126065734","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In this paper, we investigate the achievable rate performance of RSMA in a multi-user multiple-input single-output (MU-MISO) network where only slow-varying statistical channel state information (CSI) is available at the transmitter. RSMA-based statistical beamforming and the split of the common stream is optimized with the objective of maximizing the minimum user rate subject to a sum power budget of the transmitter. Two statistical CSIT scenarios are investigated, namely the Rayleigh fading channels with only spatial correlations known at the transmitter, and the uniform linear array (ULA) deployment with only channel amplitudes and mean of phase known at the transmitter. Numerical results demonstrate the explicit max min fairness (MMF) rate gain of RSMA over space division multiple access (SDMA) in both scenarios. Moreover, we demonstrate that RSMA is more robust to the inaccuracy of statistical CSIT.","PeriodicalId":262379,"journal":{"name":"2021 IEEE Wireless Communications and Networking Conference Workshops (WCNCW)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-03-29","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125891009","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

One of the fundamental problems in this scenario is to fulfill both high reliability and low latency for short blocklength. We address this issue by formulating it as maximization of probability of success under the reliability and latency constraints, in which we optimize the decoding success probability and minimizing demodulation reference signal (DMRS) collision probability jointly. The optimal blocklength/channel use is obtained by the bi-level optimization and the proposed golden section search based method. Numerical results verified the tradeoff between different assumptions. And it is found that larger blocklength/channel use not only leads to higher latency, but also increase the DMRS collision probability.","PeriodicalId":262379,"journal":{"name":"2021 IEEE Wireless Communications and Networking Conference Workshops (WCNCW)","volume":"6 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-03-29","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124324225","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In this paper, we concern about how to properly implement the successive cancellation list (SCL) decoding in multilevel polar-coded systems. We show that when SCL decoding bridges adjacent component polar codes, the path metrics should be properly inherited such that the correct path can be well preserved. To tackle this, we propose a path metric inherited SCL decoding algorithm for multilevel polar-coded systems, which integrates the decoding of multiple component polar codes into a collaborative ensemble. Accordingly, ensuring co-existence and controlling interference in such scenarios is pivotal for the success of future wireless systems. In this work all the unused wireless time-frequency resources in non-congested cells are leveraged to propose a novel Link Adaptation (LA) scheme, whose paradigm is to maximize resource utilization and reduce transmit power as much as possible. Note that this contrasts currently considered mechanisms that simply maximize spectral efficiency, demanding power optimization with long-term updates from other procedures. The proposed scheme does not require inter-cell coordination and is transparent to other MAC procedures, making its practical implementation trivial. We analytically establish that the mechanism achieves at least the same capacity in all cells and reduces transmit power when compared to state of the art LA mechanisms. In addition, extensive 3GPP-compliant system level simulations are conducted to assess the performance of the proposal, showing substantial gains in terms of achievable cell throughput in congested cells and overall transmit power reduction.","PeriodicalId":262379,"journal":{"name":"2021 IEEE Wireless Communications and Networking Conference Workshops (WCNCW)","volume":"16 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-03-29","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122899288","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
