There are around 100 reported cases in the literature, 15 cases with the presence of fetal heartbeat diagnosed by ultrasound examination. It is important to highlight that early diagnosis is essential to avoid serious complications, including maternal death. Case Report: 36 years old anovulatory patient underwent intrauterine insemination, with a positive result, having been subsequently diagnosed with early unilateral ectopic twin pregnancy at 6 weeks. The patient underwent video laparoscopic left salpingectomy and was discharged the following day. Discussion: Early diagnosis is essential so that treatment can be instituted as quickly as possible, as this is an event with high morbidity and mortality.","PeriodicalId":261631,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Gynecology Research Reviews & Reports","volume":" 12","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-12-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"139135550","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

However, there is a discussion in the literature on whether hormonal pretreatment in ovarian stimulation protocols can improve the outcome of oocytes and embryos. This study aimed to conduct an integrative review of hormonal pretreatment and its impact on women undergoing assisted reproduction procedures. Methods: We made searches in the PubMed and the Cochrane Library databases. The inclusion criteria were articles published in peer-reviewed journals in English, Portuguese, or Spanish from January 1, 2010 to December 31, 2021 and available as free full texts. We excluded gray literature works, including term papers, theses, and dissertations. We used a narrative synthesis for data analysis. Results: The 189 articles retrieved from the two databases (2010-2021) were narrowed down to eight articles. In most studies, pretreatment seems to play a role beyond stimulation that includes an early inhibition of the FSH peak, a more homogeneous cohort, and better results. Conclusions: Using a pretreatment with combined oral contraceptives (COC) produces conflicting results in assisted reproduction. The COC improves the quantity and quality of eggs, but it neither benefits nor harms reproductive outcomes. Also, the use of COC has contradictory results regarding clinical pregnancy","PeriodicalId":261631,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Gynecology Research Reviews & Reports","volume":"21 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-08-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130984478","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Then in 2016 a second private clinic followed suit. Despite this, in vitro fertilization (IVF) remained inaccessible to the greatest number because of the expensive cost of this care offer. Evidenced by the fertility rate in Gabon, which remains one of the lowest in the world, 4% in 2017. In order to provide a solution to this problem, the current government authorities have thought of setting up a fertility service in vitro in a public hospital. Methodology: faced with the many difficulties observed, we proceeded as follows: Opinion of an expert in the equipment of an IVF center in November 2019; Architectural changes to the service; Staff training ; Order of missing equipment in October 2020; Establishment of collaboration and partnership; then organization of an IVF TEST session in November 2021 “free for patients”. Result: The service laboratory is now fully functional. Staff have acquired skills and continue to improve. Over one year we carried out 44 cycles, we obtained 16 clinical pregnancies. That is a percentage of 36%. We noted 1 miscarriage, 3 deliveries, and 12 ongoing pregnancies including a twin.","PeriodicalId":261631,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Gynecology Research Reviews & Reports","volume":"118 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-06-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131561917","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

However, a wrong decision can substantially increase the rates of morbidity and mortality of the woman and the fetus. Purpose: the study aimed to assess the prevalence of cesarean delivery and associated factors. Methods: A health facility-based cross-sectional study has been conducted. A systematic random sampling technique was used. A face-to-face interview was employed to collect data through a pre-tested and structured questionnaire. Descriptive statistics were counted on. A binary logistic regression was employed to assess factors associated with cesarean delivery. The odds ratio and corresponding 95% confidence interval 95% confidence intervals were used. Results: The prevalence of cesarean delivery in this study is 27.4% (95% CI 23.3, 31.8%). monthly income 3,000-6,000 birr [AOR = 3.91 (95% CI: 1.50, 10.17)], previous cesarean delivery [AOR = 15.86 (95% CI: 8.01, 31.40)] and mother not directed counselling [AOR = 2.87 (95% CI: 1.46, 5.68)] are factors significantly associated. The prevalence of cesarean delivery uses is high. The obstetric factors occurring around delivery are the master ground leading cesarean delivery rather than the background characteristics. There is a low rate of pregnant mother counseling. We recommend interventions for the prevention of unnecessary primary cesarean delivery, counselling for pregnant mothers, particular emphasis on training all health care providers, and further investigation","PeriodicalId":261631,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Gynecology Research Reviews & Reports","volume":"87 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-06-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121179877","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This pathology affects the quality of life of the patient and causes physical, psychological, social and especially sexual sequelae. Materials and Methods: This is a cross-sectional study of 30 patients followed for non-metastatic breast cancer at Monastir Maternity and Neonatal Center. Data collection was conducted using a fact sheet and two internationally validated scales: RSS (Relationship and sexuality) and BESAA (Body-Esteem Scale for Adolescents and Adults). Results: Sexual desire was affected by the disease and its treatments in fourteen patients. The ability to achieve orgasm was reduced in eighteen patients Fourteen patients felt less sexually attractive. Twenty one women reported a decrease in the frequency of sexual intercourse. Four women reported a fear of sex. Dyspareunia and vaginal dryness were present in six women. Women aged 35 to 39 years were significantly more afraid of having sex (p = 0.039) and less sexual frequency (p = 0.003) Hormone therapy was significantly correlated with sexual functioning impairment (p = 0.009) and lower sexual frequency (p = 0.017). Overall, the alteration of the body image was significantly and positively correlated with sexual fear (P = 0.011, r = + 0.46). Altered perception of appearance was significantly and positively correlated with sexual fear (p = 0.008, r = +0.477). The dissatisfaction with weight was significantly and positively correlated with sexual fear (P = 0.011, r = +0.45). Conclusion: Women with breast cancer suffer clear sexual sequelae. The main symptoms are caused by the obstruction of hemivagina and accumulation of blood, which cause the symptoms such as dysmenorrhea, chronic pelvic pain or pelvic mass. Transvaginal septectomy is the best way to treat of patient’s obstructive hemivagina. However, in young patients, the small vagina canal is a significant limitation, and it is challenging to explore the surgical field. Due to the uncommon condition at young ages and variation in coexisting anomalies, approach techniques and instruments are still under development. In this case series, we present 2 cases of OHVIRA syndrome who received surgical treatment at Ramathibodi Hospital, Mahidol University.
