A renewable energy power unit is a multi-component multistate complex system. In this paper, colored stochastic Petri nets are suggested to model, evaluate and forecast the health conditions of components, and to drive and update the data collection process through the unit lifetime. The approach allows monitoring the health conditions of the unit and predicting the reliability of its components, on the base of a non-parametric model.","PeriodicalId":260349,"journal":{"name":"2013 IEEE 7th International Conference on Intelligent Data Acquisition and Advanced Computing Systems (IDAACS)","volume":"213 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2013-11-14","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122084023","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The choice of recirculation neural network among the multilayer perceptron, recurrent and radial basis neural networks is proved. The model of a recirculation neural network and usual sequential batch pattern algorithm of its training are theoretically described. An algorithmic description of the parallel version of the batch pattern training method is presented. The experimental research is fulfilled using the Open MPI, Mvapich and Intel MPI message passing libraries. The results obtained on many-core AMD system and Intel MIC are compared with the results obtained on a cluster system. Our results show that the parallelization efficiency is about 95% on 12 cores located inside one physical AMD processor for the considered minimum and maximum scenarios. The parallelization efficiency is about 70-75% on 48 AMD cores for the minimum and maximum scenarios. These results are higher by 15-36% (depending on the version of MPI library) in comparison with the results obtained on 48 cores of a cluster system. The parallelization efficiency obtained on Intel MIC architecture is surprisingly low, asking for deeper analysis.","PeriodicalId":260349,"journal":{"name":"2013 IEEE 7th International Conference on Intelligent Data Acquisition and Advanced Computing Systems (IDAACS)","volume":"73 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2013-11-14","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115929413","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This approach is based on a multi-agent system applied to multi-wheel control. The robot's platform is decomposed into driving modules agents that are trained independently. The proposed approach incorporates multiple Q-learning agents, which permits them to effectively control every wheel relative to other wheels. The power reward policy with common error reward is adjusted to produce efficient control. The proposed approach is applied for the distributed control of a multi-wheel platform, in order to provide energy consumption optimization.","PeriodicalId":260349,"journal":{"name":"2013 IEEE 7th International Conference on Intelligent Data Acquisition and Advanced Computing Systems (IDAACS)","volume":"24 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2013-11-14","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123884902","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

But it means necessity to analyse the uncertainty zone near a bifurcation boundary, to analyse the operating process stability margin and to analyse the probability of abnormalities. The coordinated view on these points is proposed in the approach to the adaptation based on the fractal forecasting and the bifurcation tuning.","PeriodicalId":260349,"journal":{"name":"2013 IEEE 7th International Conference on Intelligent Data Acquisition and Advanced Computing Systems (IDAACS)","volume":"2036 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2013-11-14","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129786777","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Brain activity can be modeled in terms of a source distribution found by solving the bioelectromagnetic inverse problem, e.g. using linear source reconstruction methods. Such methods are particularly suitable to be used on modern highly parallel processing systems, such as widely available graphic processing units (GPUs). The utilization of these capabilities paves the way for online neuroelectromagnetic source imaging. We present a system that, according to its modular scheme, can be configured in a very flexible way using graphical building blocks. It allows to use different preprocessing algorithms together with a linear source reconstruction method. The algorithms use both CPU and GPU resources.","PeriodicalId":260349,"journal":{"name":"2013 IEEE 7th International Conference on Intelligent Data Acquisition and Advanced Computing Systems (IDAACS)","volume":"22 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2013-09-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114223391","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
