Vehicular ad hoc networks (VANETs) comprises of huge number of vehicles and roadside units that communicate with each other in several realtime scenarios and internet application services. Security in VANET is more crucial, because of different network layers and trusting on unknown intermediate vehicles. There is critical demand of efficient trust management for VANETs, because it prevents fabricated information directed by suspicious nodes connected to the network. A number of factors including lack of infrastructure, autonomous modules, auto-pilot support and dynamic topology due to mobility can result in hardening the reliable trust management solutions. In this paper, we present a comprehensive overview of trust management schemes for routing protocols. This survey specifically elaborates Trust management approaches applicable for secure release of information for real time application services. Moreover, these schemes are analyzed and presented in a tabular form to highlight the concept, methodology, algorithm, QoS and performance capabilities. It can help the researcher in this field to quickly identify the weak and strong features of schemes. We have also provided categorical discussion for comparative overview. Requirements that are not completely understood and defined are the primary cause for safety related problems. In order to accomplish the task of eliminating chances of mismanaged requirement engineering. We have sorted out approaches of improvised communication between Requirement Engineering (RE) and SCS in Safety Engineering. We have analyzed activities and techniques that should be performed by RE during safety analysis. Moreover, specified tools are explored that are used for analysis. We have focuses on systematic literature review for SCS where main focus is on mandatory safety concerns. Schemes are analyzed as per research questions to identify that which schemes consider these questions in three conditions including satisfactory, partial or not handled. We have selected a large number of articles from different publishers and then identified the articles with duplicate features. Finally we have selected a set of articles after eliminating duplicate ones and then evaluated these schemes as per research questions. Smart city is an integration of smart states, sensors and actuators implemented to sense data from real environment within a network. The sensors and actuators embedded in real scenario enables transformation of intelligent environment. Many researchers have developed different solutions for modeling of smart cities, but efficient systems are not addressed in terms of efficiency. However, we have focused on energy efficient smart lightening system which is an important component of a smart city. In our proposed model, we have divided street lights energy usage into three categories: low, moderate and high. The street light energy usage is low when there is a day light, moderate when there is no heavy traffic on roads and high when there is heavy traffic on roads. Street lights turn on when a vehicle enters in a passage after sensing its entry within a region. A passage is collection of sensors which detects a vehicle and turn on all lights of the passage based on Unified Modeling Language (UML) sequence diagram. The sequence diagram is further converted into Deterministic Finite Automata (DFA) by which validation of the model is done. The DFA model is transformed into a formal model using Vienna Development Method-Specification Language (VDM-SL). It has its own distributed file system which facilitates local storage and processing on commodity hardware. Hadoop distributed file system is a core part of the Hadoop ecosystem which comprises of large number of configuration parameters. Customizing these parameters to enhance the throughput of the system, for a particular job, may require a lot of experience and skills. During the execution of a Hadoop job in a multi-node cluster, the communication among nodes takes place through switch. These switches have vendor-specific protocols to direct the flow of traffic. Software defined networking has made it possible to make networks more programmable and configurable. In this paper, we analysed the impact of Hadoop distributed file system parameters, like block size, replication factor, MapReduce parameter like number of mapper, and Hive query structure. We used faucet, an OpenFlow switch, to monitor the transfer of both packets in/out of the system to see whether network traffic information can be used to predict the impact of Hadoop parameters. We have also monitored CPU usage, disk usage, memory usage and the overall execution time during the execution of Hadoop jobs. Humayun","doi":"10.1109/MACS.2018.8628413","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.1109/MACS.2018.8628413","url":null,"abstract":"The solid placed in a porous medium is termed as conjugate, their study on heat transfer phenomenon in porous medium, has acquired much focus by numerous researchers [1]–[8] recently, due to the vast range of its applications in several areas of Engineering such as, Bio Instrumentation, Mechatronics and Bio Medical Engineering etc. This phenomenon is studied by applying a set of partial differential equations which are nonlinear and coupled in nature hence can't be solved directly; thus a numerical method called finite element method is used to solve them, which in turn generates a group of algebraic equations put together in the form of a matrix and are solved by using an algorithm with a tight convergence criteria. The current research is aimed to discuss an optimized algorithm based on numerical investigation to solve these equations, and compared with the conventional algorithm. Pakistan has been a target of drone attacks since 2004 as part of the US war-on-terrorism; since then many attacks have been made although Pakistan openly condemns them. In the new political setup of Pakistan and changing relationship with US, solutions are needed to counter these strikes. In this context, we propose a neural network based framework called DAF (Drone Analytics Framework) to predict the future occurrences of drones. In this study, data from secondary source is used to examine association amongst crude oil, gold price and stock return. Daily prices from 1986 to 2016 were selected. The stock price return was collected from Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSE) and gold and crude oil prices were selected from World Bank. We used Vector Error Correction Model (VECM) to estimate the short and long term association among the variables. As to this day a vast number of games have been developed that consist VR technology. To share the gaming experience, the internet has been widely adopted because it allows users to interact with each other. According to the work presented above, we developed a carrom game that uses VR that allow users to interact with different 3D object. In this game a user can play with Artificial Intelligence (AI) opponent. For the purpose of creating a more fun game we introduce multiplayer gaming that allows users to play with each other without any need of physical carrom. Twitter is a well-known micro blogging social media site to share and exchange people's opinion and content in different aspects of life. The power of twitter based predictions has its own magnified importance and has been greatly accepted. In this research paper, we investigate a tweet-based application of deep neural network to predict the 2018 electoral results of Pakistan. We collected tweets data using a twitter API. First, we tuned the hyper parameters of neural network then we trained the model with the tweets dataset of 2013 elections. We tested the trained model with tweets data set of 2018 election, model showed PTI as a clear winner. Smart campus provides management of clearance, transportation, departments, classrooms, offices, accounts, parking, notification and registration management system. Researchers have proposed many models to automate smart campus system using IoT, Mobile networking, cloud computing and machine learning techniques. But there is a need of more investigation of smart campus system modeling, validation and simulation. We have focused on Smart Registration system based on ubiquitous computing which is modeled using Unified Modeling Language (UML), Non-Deterministic Finite Automata (NFA) and Vienna Development Method Specification Language (VDM-SL). Registration system has many operations and functions to manage all the registration purpose tasks of the users, teachers and administration. The functions of the system include register, add or delete course, check, and view or delete Prerequisite, add or drop course, update, view or delete scheme of study. All the working of functions from one state to another is depicted in UML diagram. UML based model is further converted into Automata theory using NFA models to validate system states and transaction. The NFA based model is further converted into mathematical notations to provide proof of correctness of the model using VDM-SL.
