They are that dialogic literature is not yet fully developed; in the late Middle Ages, there are many texts that are unedited; and it lacks a reasonable notion of dialogue for the medieval Latin literature. This chapter discusses the diachronic changes the medieval Latin dialogues. The aim of this work was to develop and typology of the medieval Latin dialogues 1200-1400 and a definition of dialogue, which would be appropriate for the medieval Latin literature. The research unveiled a number of blind spots which need to be cleared with further research. The chapter also talks about the question-and-answer dialogues of the early and late Middle Ages. Some dialogues such as the prayers and meditations, still lack a literary-historical classification and typing. This investigation shows that some of the features in a majority of the writings contained in the working corpus have characteristics that can be described as medieval Latin dialogue. Dramatic allegories cannot be described as dialogues, because they have almost opposite characteristics. The debates about the salvation event and Satan processes are a divided group. They are differentiated mainly from two aspects: the topics and their relationship between the literary figures. Taking into account these two aspects, it can be said that there are four types of teaching dialogues, debates, philosophical and contemplative dialogues. The chapter also shows points of contact with the self-contemplative dialogue, but the result differs from in key aspects of the dialogue form. The discussion has three versions: Advocacia version, Mascaron version, and Bartolo version. The order between Mascaron and Advocacia is not clear. Considering plot and characterization the people created in the Advocacia, one is tempted to consider them as the younger text. The author says some heretics deny the validity of infant baptism, others even the efficacy of baptism at all. The use of the Latin terminology emphasizes the Parodi-matic character of the text.
