9. Ein Dialogbegriff für die Mittellateinische Literatur
This chapter explores whether the medieval Latin dialogues are a uniform type of texts or are they more dialogic forms of text. This investigation shows that some of the features in a majority of the writings contained in the working corpus have characteristics that can be described as medieval Latin dialogue. Dramatic allegories cannot be described as dialogues, because they have almost opposite characteristics. The debates about the salvation event and Satan processes are a divided group. They are differentiated mainly from two aspects: the topics and their relationship between the literary figures. Taking into account these two aspects, it can be said that there are four types of teaching dialogues, debates, philosophical and contemplative dialogues. The chapter also shows points of contact with the self-contemplative dialogue, but the result differs from in key aspects of the dialogue form. The original text of the chapter is in German. Keywords: contemplative dialogues; debates; medieval Latin dialogue; philosophical dialogues; salvation event; Satan processes; teaching dialogues
