A quantitative descriptive analysis was utilized with a balanced panel data method. Secondary data in the form of annual reports of 15 conventional banks together with its 15 Islamic windows were studied for the years of 2011 until 2015. Efficiency was measured using Data Envelopment Analysis. The findings of this study indicate that conventional banks are slightly more efficient than its Islamic windows based on the Constant Return to Scale (CRS) model of efficiency measurement. Meanwhile, based on the Variable Return to Scale (VRS) model, Islamic windows are found to be more efficient than its conventional banks. Therefore, it can be generally concluded that the efficiency of Islamic windows is relatively better than its conventional banks. The findings of this study imply that efficiency measurement of banking institutions has to be approached from different models. This study also indicates that based on certain approaches, banking institutions that are operated based on Islamic principles may achieve more efficiency as compared to the conventional ones. According to the data and ranking released by Food and Agriculture Organization (2018) Indonesia is classified into the top three of the ten largest carbon emitting countries from the rice cultivation sector and ranked seventh in agriculture activities in total. Using the FAO data series and applying simple regression models found a significant relationship between rice production activities and increased carbon emissions equivalent (CO2eq.) as well as rural populations. The recommendation of the results of this study is the extension of organic farming activities supported by the results of subsequent research in increasing sustainable rice cultivation. Started by the DI/TII movement lead by Tgk. Daud Beureueh in 1953 until 1962. Aceh has around 14 years with no conflict after that, soon the occurrence of Acheh-Sumatra National Liberation Front or Aceh Freedom Movement (GAM) was declared by Hasan Tiro in 1976. The reoccurrence of conflict in Aceh was the result of unfinished or incomplete conflict management. The efforts taken by the Government of Indonesia was not thoroughly done. The fulfillment of promises was not seriously done, and less conflict resolution actions create new conflict. After the signing of MoU Helsinki in 2005 which ends the prolonged conflict with GAM, there is a concern of conflict reoccurrence in Aceh. Some factors which become the potency for conflict reoccurrence can be analyzed as a preventive action for a new conflict. The primary data from this study was obtained through direct interviews using questionnaires. The results showed that out-migration has no impact towards agricultural productivity. This is because of the advanced use of agricultural technology in farming. This means that agricultural technology has replaced the used of labor in agriculture, thus the migrant was no longer working in agriculture. As a result, the agricultural productivity was unaffected. Therefore, it is recommended for government and private sector to provide more jobs in non-agricultural sectors. Things that can be done include drawing more investors, establishing a regional owned enterprise and improving the quality of education in rural areas. The purpose of this study was to examine more deeply the dynamics of Presidential Threshold ratification in Indonesia. The research method used in this research is library research method. Data collection techniques used are research literature, documents, and other sources. There are several findings of this research. First, the application of the presidential threshold is a more democratic policy because it does not threaten the existence of political parties in proposing a pair of candidates for President and Vice President to remain constituent. Second, the presidential threshold in elections is needed for strengthening the presidential system in Indonesia by building up a strong figure of President and Vice President, because the elected President and Vice President will have a large base of political support in the parliament. Third, the presidential threshold can force political parties or joint political parties to seriously select candidates for President and Vice President, so that it will bring qualified President and Vice President. This statement is proven by the phenomenon of online trading via online shops. Though they offer goods, but the processes including selection, payment, delivery, and consumers responses are conceptualized through websites or applications provided by owners (sellers). As if it becomes a new hope to increase sales, online shops providers like Shopee, Lazada and Bukalapak keep developing different integrated marketing strategies (4P; Place, Price, Production and Promotion) in order to keep their existence. The research problems for this study are; what integrated marketing communication strategies are used by Shopee, Lazada and Bukalapak along this period of time? and what differences in marketing service run by Shopee, Lazada dan Bukalapak. The method of this study is qualitative comparison study using interviews and documentation as data collection techniques and accidental sampling as information gathering technique. This study is expected to be able to map the marketing strategies run by online shops that are successful in maintaining their special customers on web world. The data is quarterly time series started from 2002 till 2017 using Generalized Method of Moments (GMM) analysis model. This model has ability to produce unbiased, consistent and efficient estimation even though in the model, endogenous variables and measurement error variables are existed. The results show that sukuk and bonds have positive and significantly affect (α <0.05) on economic growth (Gross Domestic Income per worker), but stocks and savings have negative and significantly effect on economic growth. Through these results, we know that economic growth in Indonesia effected by capital flow, and by supporting the number of Muslim populations in Indonesia, policy makers and stockholders (governments and corporate) could take these advantages promoting these instruments especially sukuk as means of funding for their business activities and developing purposes while keeping the performances and public trust on their instruments, furthermore governments and corporate could get fund for their business activities and developing purposes. As such, textbook publishers have increasingly incorporating PowerPoint slides as part of textbooks supplemental materials. However, the effectiveness of the slides in the classroom remains a question. This study fills the gap and investigates how students perceive publisher-provided PowerPoint slides in promoting successful learning. This study uses a survey and two experimental tests to understand and confirm students' responses to the use of the teaching media. The sample of the study consists of 28 students enrolled in the Principles of accounting course in Semester I, 2018, at Faculty of Economics and Business of Syiah Kuala University, Indonesia. The results show that students perceive PowerPoint is useful for effective learning. Several students who felt the lack of benefits from using this instructional technology are related to the use of English in PowerPoint slides. Therefore, we conducted a sensitivity test by giving students pre-test and post-test after the slides were translated into Indonesian. This process confirms the main results. However, one must be cautious in generalizing these findings because this study has limitations in sample size, and sample characteristics e.g. lacking in English, thus future research may benefit from addressing those limitations. This study used primary data sourced from surveys of poor households with questionnaires and in-depth interviews with 300 respondents in Aceh, Indonesia. Data collection was carried out in three districts that represented three economic growth zones in Aceh. The data collection techniques were carried out by purposive sampling. Data were analyzed by structural equation modelling analysis. Before conducting the test structural models, it is ensured that all constructs have met the test of fit index. Structural model test results found that the construct of social capital, has an influence on improving the empower of the poor in Aceh. While government policy responses have little effect, this indicates that the government's responsibility to empower the poor needs to be directed towards empowerment programs rather than providing cash assistance. All indicators tested had a value indicator above the cut-off, but some indicators had great value. Indicators in the social capital that contribute greatly to improving the empower of the poor were groups and networks, solidarity and communication. While the indicator of cash aids is of little effect on increasing the empower of the poor.
