PFFD is a rare congenital anomaly ranging from one case per 50,000 population to one case per 200,000 population. This is a case report of a 5 years old girl with isolated left PFFD Aitken D. She met the orthopedic at the age of 6 months and asked to come back at 5 years. She has left knee contracture and limited involved hip range of motion also hypermobility joint in the uninvolved leg. The patient walking by kneeling to compensate for the leg length discrepancy (LLD) and has an inadequate function of the uninvolved leg. The rehabilitation program consists of a home-based strengthening and stretching exercise program, gait training, balance exercise, elastic tape application, and an adaptive prosthesis. At the end of 2 months of comprehensive rehabilitation management, the balance has improved and the patient was able to stand at the same level as her friends and walking with an adaptive prosthesis with a better gait pattern.","PeriodicalId":258037,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 11th National Congress and the 18th Annual Scientific Meeting of Indonesian Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Association","volume":"21 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132641350","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Inspiratory muscle training (IMT) using an incentive spirometer (IS) improve lung functions in individuals with chronic SCI. This study aimed to investigate the effects of IMT-using-IS on the aerobic capacity, the functional performance, and QoL individuals with chronic paraplegia. The quasi-experimental with the pre-post design conducted at Sasana Bina Daksa Budi Bhakti Pondok Bambu Jakarta in January-February 2019. The outcomes were the aerobic capacity measured with the 6-Minutes Push Test (6MPT), the functional activities daily living (ADL) performance with the Spinal Cord Independence Measure III (SCIM III), and QoL with International SCI Data Sets-Quality of Life Basic Data Set. There were 11 individuals with chronic paraplegia recruited. After the IMT-using-IS 5 times per weeks for 4 weeks, there were significant increases in the 6MPT (p=0.002), and the QoL score (p=0.004), however the SCIM scores were not significantly different (p=0.271). Individuals with chronic paraplegia, the IMT-using-IS significantly improved aerobic capacity and QoL. There was no effect on functional performance in ADL as individuals with chronic paraplegia had already reached their highest level in performing ADL.","PeriodicalId":258037,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 11th National Congress and the 18th Annual Scientific Meeting of Indonesian Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Association","volume":"14 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131541762","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In PMR, the International Classification of Functioning, Disability, and Health (ICF) framework is fundamental for analysis and problem intervention. PMR residents expected to have a better guidelines in establishing the CGA program. A Cross-sectional study with a quantitative approach carried at the Medical Faculty University of Indonesia. The objective is to compare the process of making a problem framework using the ICF concept based on a comprehensive geriatric examination with the problem-making process without the use of the ICF concept and to evaluate the effectiveness of the ICF concept uses for making problem framework based on CGA examination. All of the respondents agree that the ICF concept makes an improvement in integrating, understanding, and analytical skills in the geriatric problem; defining rehabilitation target, priority; and simplify communication with other colleagues and patients. On the other hand, it takes more time (28,5%) and difficulty in writing of framework (35,7%). More respondents (85,7%) agree that it facilitates in making functional diagnosis and prognosis. The ICF concept can help to make a better comprehensive assessment of geriatric patients based on CGA.","PeriodicalId":258037,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 11th National Congress and the 18th Annual Scientific Meeting of Indonesian Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Association","volume":"11 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131089277","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Damaged brain caused by stroke have an ability to repair itself which is called neuroplasticity. Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) was introduced as a non-invasive tool that could stimulate damaged brain hemisphere to increase neuroplasticity. This study aimed to prove and determine the effect of Repetitive Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (rTMS) on upper extremity motoric function in subacute stroke ischemic patient. Eighteen subjects included in inclusion criteria, divided into 2 groups, control and intervention group. Control group had conventional therapy for 5 days consecutively and intervention group had conventional therapy and rTMS for 5 days consecutively. Upper extremity motoric function was evaluated with Fugl-Meyer Assessment (FMA). It was done before and after the intervention had completed. There were increasing of FMA score in control group 53.2 to 57.4 (p=0,012) and intervention group 40.3 to 54.1 (p=0,000). The increasing of FMA score in intervention group was higher 13.7 vs 4.2 (p=0,000). Combination of conventional and TMS therapy improved upper extremity function better than single conventional therapy in subacute stroke ischemic patient.","PeriodicalId":258037,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 11th National Congress and the 18th Annual Scientific Meeting of Indonesian Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Association","volume":"26 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133000558","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
