The rapid expansion has left shortcomings in defining proper communication protocols between the different components within this industrial revolution. A number of research articles have set out to establish communication protocols between SMART manufacturing units and Cloud manufacturing systems however, there is still not enough to prove for the use of their own protocols within a working case study. A research void exists within this field to establish a foundation to classify the machinery as SMART and to standardize the protocols needed. The purpose of this paper is to review the different communication protocols in the different layers of Cloud manufacturing. This is done by reviewing relevant research done in this field in the recent past. This analysis will give an indication of the progress made in this field and the possible areas for future research.","PeriodicalId":255353,"journal":{"name":"2019 International Conference on Fourth Industrial Revolution (ICFIR)","volume":"25 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-02-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121928819","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Most of the devices have processors to process the data. Since these processors work under the schematic of sequential processing, they are only capable to execute one command at a time. Whereas in certain applications like a huge factory, multiple commands are required to be executed simultaneously, in that case, parallel processing is the solution. Parallel processing is an integral part of everyday life. Now a day the embedded systems are involved in many industrial trends. This paper focuses on achieving a parallel processing capability depending on parallel embedded systems both homogeneous and heterogeneous which make a huge difference in computational efficiency. Since the practical applications like super-computers which are governed by parallel processing are extremely expensive, our target is to devise an inexpensive model which might be a low scaled version of a professional super-computer in terms of power, price and performance. The proposed system capable of executing parallel processing resembling a full scaled super-computer and has the capability of playing a crucial role in the process, communicate and store data in industrial, medical and educational sectors.","PeriodicalId":255353,"journal":{"name":"2019 International Conference on Fourth Industrial Revolution (ICFIR)","volume":"98 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-02-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126197796","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Declining oil field productivity as well as volatile oil prices, particularly after the last market crash, will always put pressure on the entire industry to innovate continuously. Although active applications of AI and 4.0 practices are considered relatively behind other industries, there are a few fields in which the oil industry can benefit from AI and the latest in 4.0 advancements. Particularly in the field of oil well surveillance, an innovative approach to diagnosing oil well problems was discovered only two years ago. By treating these wells chemically, millions of dollars in revenue have been gained at a negligible cost, and AI is being used to understand how it all works. This paper will discuss in detail the added value of automation, innovation in well surveillance, and the use of machine learning algorithms to improve our management of oil well emulsions.","PeriodicalId":255353,"journal":{"name":"2019 International Conference on Fourth Industrial Revolution (ICFIR)","volume":"14 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129524860","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
