Inspired by Multipoint Relay computation, a cooperative routing algorithm is proposed in Ad hoc network, which select cooperative neighbors for cooperative transmission by checking whether the links between the node and its neighbors are symmetric or not. The performances of the proposed cooperative routing algorithm and the non-cooperative routing algorithm are compared. The simulation results show that the cooperative routing algorithm's capability parameters, like deliver ratio, are better than the non-cooperative routing algorithm. Furthermore, we try to find the optimal number of cooperative nodes at each cooperative transmission stage.","PeriodicalId":253478,"journal":{"name":"2010 IEEE 12th International Conference on Communication Technology","volume":"22 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2010-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124894068","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Most schemes require some nodes functioned as anchors with positions configured manually which are error-prone. In this paper, a GPS-free localization scheme is proposed. High accurate TOA is acquired by means of measure the time difference between two simultaneously transmitted radio and ultrasonic signals at the receiver. With the assistant of coarse AOA information, the flip ambiguity is fixed. The performance of our scheme is demonstrated with an accuracy of a few centimeters using our prototype nodes.","PeriodicalId":253478,"journal":{"name":"2010 IEEE 12th International Conference on Communication Technology","volume":"63 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2010-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125066656","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The optimal design methods of building piecewise code with low redundancy are presented. In cognitive OFDM, anti-jamming piecewise coding could recover the lost packets in parallel interference channels by implementing different number of parity check blocks, thus it could recover the lost packets and protect secondary users (SUs) from the interference by primary users (PUs). Frame error rate (FER) and throughput performance of SU employing anti-jamming piecewise coding are analyzed respectively. Performance comparison of piecewise coding and another anti-jamming rateless coding are presented simultaneously. Simulation results proved that, anti-jamming piecewise coding provides better FER performance by non-uniform sub-channel selection, and it could achieve better throughput performance with designed smaller overhead in low jamming rate situation.","PeriodicalId":253478,"journal":{"name":"2010 IEEE 12th International Conference on Communication Technology","volume":"9 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2010-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125275142","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In contrast, real network requires classifying traffic before a flow has finished. This implies that classification must be achieved using information extracted from the most recent N packets at any arbitrary point in a flow's lifetime. In order to classify peer-to-peer (P2P) applications as early as possible, different P2P applications' characteristics are studied and an attribute set, being able to effectively and promptly distinguish different P2P applications, is proposed. The simulative results using C4.5 decision tree algorithm and sliding window method show that, compared to current attribute sets, this set is more effective in classification, with accuracy achieving 96.7%. Besides, it proves that accuracy using this set keeps stable, though a number of initial packets in a flow are lost.","PeriodicalId":253478,"journal":{"name":"2010 IEEE 12th International Conference on Communication Technology","volume":"32 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2010-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122716581","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

To reach these goals, new air interface is specified for TD-LTE. In this paper, the performance of physical uplink and downlink channels are evaluated by means of numerical simulations. Since the deployment of smart antennas is the unique feature of TD-SCDMA, special attentions are paid to the case of TD-LTE with dual-polarized smart antennas scheme, which can greatly facilitate practical application by smaller antenna array size and better stability relative to traditional mono-polarized smart antennas. The error performance is simulated for multiple physical channels with both mono- and dual-polarized smart antennas, and the simulation results on link level show that the dual-polarization scheme pays slight penalty of signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) loss, but brings significant benefits to practical application. It is intensively recommended to deploy the dual-polarized smart antennas in TD-LTE.","PeriodicalId":253478,"journal":{"name":"2010 IEEE 12th International Conference on Communication Technology","volume":"19 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2010-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122665297","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Comparing leaned low electrode mode with parallel low electrode mode, we found the former has well performance substantially largely due to the relationship between the driving voltage and the rotation angle of the micromirror. The size of the model impacts its performance, too. So by general analyzing static characteristics and dynamic characteristics of the optical switch, the relationship between optical switches parameters and their performances can be obtained that has theoretical and practical significance.","PeriodicalId":253478,"journal":{"name":"2010 IEEE 12th International Conference on Communication Technology","volume":"38 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2010-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114592038","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

SD-AEDCA makes improvements to EDCA backoff scheme from post-backoff, upon-collision and post-transmission phases respectively by differentiating real-time and non real-time frames. Specifically, frozen rate is calculated to estimate the channel load conditions during EDCA backoff process and then used to guide CW and BC adjustment. And the waiting time is explored deliberately to satisfy the transmission latency requirements of real-time frames. Simulation results show that SD-AEDCA improves network throughput by reducing transmission collisions and provides more satisfactory QoS to real-time services at heavy load conditions.","PeriodicalId":253478,"journal":{"name":"2010 IEEE 12th International Conference on Communication Technology","volume":"7 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2010-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130352124","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
