The logistics nodes of consumable firms fall under serious impact, which makes the consumable prices of disaster area fluctuant drastically. The goal of this paper is to bring forward a risk analysis framework through an integration of diverse research streams related to risk management. From the insurance point of view, the paper quantifies the risk of key chain logistics of consumable industry with a variety of natural disasters and further explores the emergent management. The proposed approach assists the managers of enterprises to evaluate and confirm the locations of logistics nodes, resume industry chain operation and maintain the price equilibrium in the industry chain.","PeriodicalId":252323,"journal":{"name":"2009 International Conference on Management of e-Commerce and e-Government","volume":"6 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2009-09-16","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124276615","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The first is that the converged products substitute the original market demanding, and the second is of creating the new market demanding. Thus, based on redefining the concept of technological convergence, we analyze market demand of convergent products according to the characteristics of technological convergence in IT industry. We define market power as the function of product price and the improvement of performance of convergent product. We also assume that the original technology is symbiotic. Based on the above analysis, we modify the Bass Model and the hypotheses of related models, build a demand growth model of technological convergent products, and use this model to analyze and estimate the growing demand of converged products. At last, we discuss the condition that technological convergence will be successful.","PeriodicalId":252323,"journal":{"name":"2009 International Conference on Management of e-Commerce and e-Government","volume":"18 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2009-09-16","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124892675","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

A system dynamics model of a supply chain consisting of two stages is investigated. The impact of a reverse logistics for direct reuse productions on such dynamic behaviors of the supply chain is studied in this paper. Our results clearly showed that reverse logistics management is do to help restraining the dynamic behavior in supply chains. Furthermore, the simulation results illustrate that the weakening degree will be greater when the return rate increases.","PeriodicalId":252323,"journal":{"name":"2009 International Conference on Management of e-Commerce and e-Government","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2009-09-16","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115052860","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The paper describes these new payment instruments’ impact against money supply, and argues it is the endogeneity that leads to the dilemmas of China's monetary policy. Using Granger Causality Test with macroeconomic data from December 1999 to November 2007, the paper finds that the change in economic output may lead to corresponding changes in money supply, and the expansion of money supply may lead to the increase of money base. This phenomenon means that the central bank can not dominate the money supply practically, thus slack policy on the application of electronic money and virtual money should be put in force if it does not harm the nation’s financial security.","PeriodicalId":252323,"journal":{"name":"2009 International Conference on Management of e-Commerce and e-Government","volume":"662 ","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2009-09-16","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114057083","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The implementation of e-commerce provides conditions for KM of enterprises. This article suggests using data mining (DM) as a technique to support knowledge management in e-commerce. We discuss the process of knowledge management in e-commerce and present a reference model. A general architecture of collecting and mining data out of an e-commerce platform is designed to facilitate user discovering valuable knowledge. We detail the four functional modules, namely data collection, data pre-processing, pattern discovery, and knowledge analysis of the integrated architecture. The integrated model is a three-level framework linked by knowledge flow. The three levels are knowledge resource level, application level and interaction level, and every level is made up of a few specific modules. The effective running of all the modules is driven by different stages of knowledge flow. With this model corporate E-commerce and internal management are integrated together tightly with knowledge so that all information and knowledge from external and internal sources can be collected, extracted, processed and restored at higher efficiency, and then can be used to innovate or improve products, services in time.","PeriodicalId":252323,"journal":{"name":"2009 International Conference on Management of e-Commerce and e-Government","volume":"52 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2009-09-16","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122102771","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
