Systems that need external instructions and data to operate require the counterpart of telemetry known as telecommand. The main objective of the project was to develop and integrate a low power and cost effective telemetry and telecommand system. The project involves development of an instrumentation unit for collecting various sensor parameters from multiple remote station (e.g. Voltage, Temperature, Humidity etc.) and wireless transfer of the data to a central station. The data thus obtained will be available to the user via a Graphic User Interface running on a Windows based system developed by the team. Owing to many constraints in above two approaches blind people can't have book of their choice. The presented work will provide them an opportunity to have an audio-book of their choice in English or Marathi language of any printed book having English, Marathi or Braille script. Printed text from textbook having English, Marathi or Braille script will be taken as input in the form of an image which will be converted into plain editable text with the help of Optical Character Recognition (OCR). This plain text will be then fed to Text to Speech (TTS) converter which will generate the audio output file in English or Marathi language corresponding to the input text image script. Here 2 surface electrodes are placed over the frontal region of the skull and the 3rd one near the auricular region for reference, for the purpose of extraction of EEG wave from the patient. It was found that EEG signal obtained during voluntary eye blink, produces clearer signals with larger amplitude and with a frequency differing from that of the normal EEG. An ARM processor is programmed for efficient extraction of eye blinks. Our system is operated in 2 modes -- Voice mode which is used by the patient to express what they want and control mode which helps the patient in switching ON or OFF a particular device. These modes helps in reducing the paralytic subject's burden to a great extent. In the first mode, the extracted pulse is transmitted wirelessly to the relay circuit using Zig bee technology. A relay circuit is activated to turn ON the desired device. Preventive measures taken at the right time can prevent theft and burglary from victimizing civilians. This paper presents a simple, embedded, low cost solution to domestic security that is intuitive, economic and implementable. The proposed model incorporates two layers of security. One is biometric finger print recognition and the other is a password consisting of a preset number of pulsed vibrations that can only be felt. The key to strong security is established by random delays between successive vibrations. Successive authentications lack pattern, as they happen in random time, leaving observers clueless. We call this the Smart Key. The Smart Key does not require significant maintenance and is powered by its own embedded DC UPS. In this way, it removes any requirements such as an external UPS/Inverter which can be expensive. The data less design of Smart Keys make them universal and identical, which frees the user from any distress in case it is lost. The system design is very modular and welcomes expansion of functionality with ease. We have used four tyres which rolls over surface of wall and can steer in any orientation using DTMF technology. Due to its unique design, a high degree of modification and applications are possible. It is semi-autonomous and some sensors are connected, to communicate it wirelessly. Various aspects of another relevant prototypes has been designed so far each having some limitations which this robot overcomes. We have used hair blower as a suction mechanism which makes it cost effective and unique. It can reliably climb on a vertical wall and can crawl on ceiling too. Previously developed devices did not implement any general solution. This paper describes a new method of developing wearable sensor gloves for detecting hand gestures which uses British and Indian sign language system. The outputs are produced in the text format using LCD and audio format using APR9600 module. The hand gesture or the hand signs are converted to electrical signals using flex sensor. These electrical signals are processed to produce appropriate audio and text output. Previously designed devices were not accurate in tracing the hand gestures. The work presented in this paper aims at providing a cost effective solution to the design and development of an event data recorder which has been basically adopted from the aviation sector considering the need and the correlated benefits. The paper presents an integrated design of the black box with the basic features of the data recorder which could be very useful for domestic vehicles and at the same time it also hosts several additional features that could assist in mitigating the number of accidents, or at bare minimum, will serve as an analysis tool to prevent future accidents by analyzing the previous accidents. The black box also provides automatic accident notification system which helps in informing the nearest hospital and the traffic authority by providing not only the coordinates of the accident but also the exact physical address for immediate medical attention which can save numerous lives every day. The black box also hosts several other features like CAN compatibility, attractive user console and advanced web tracking anytime and from anywhere. To provide them with a supporting aid, many scientists have been toiling for a long time. The invention of wheel chair is a great boon to them but it still restricts their motion. This project aims at providing them with a non-polluting and cost effective solution in the form of a - Hybrid Solar Powered Electric Wheel Chair. The project implements two state battery charging using Single Ended Primary Inductor Converter (SEPIC) and Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT) algorithm for efficient battery charging and improved battery life. It incorporates Stellar is® ARM® Cortex-M3 based LM3S608 micro controller kit along with a zero crossing detector circuit and a relay driver circuit. Current transformer and potential transformer are used for gathering real time current and potential data. It is fed into the micro controller via a zero crossing detector built using TI OPA4277 High Precision Operational Amplifier. From the directly received phase data, micro controller calculates the phase difference and hence the power factor of the system. It is displayed on an HD44780 controlled 16x2 Liquid Crystal Display. According to the current power factor, capacitors are automatically switched into the circuit using relays to bring the power factor close to unity. The relay driver circuit is built using TI ULN2003A IC. The system has been tested on different loads. Power factor is accurately displayed and brought close to unity. The use of ARM® based 32-bit micro controller promises extension of the project to a complete power management unit. With rapid advancement in electronic technology, we have all sorts of gadgets to interact with the physical world around us. For such an application, Touch screen technology is yet another promising platform, but has hardly been explored. In our project, we used touch screen to control the movement of a bot as precisely as possible by taking the input from user on the screen. The speed and direction of the bot were mapped to the coordinates with appropriate functions to provide easy and intuitive control.
