No additional polymers or capping agents were used as reducers in the synthesis of nZVI. The zero-valent iron nanoparticles were entrapped or capped by polyols (functional compounds) present in the biological materials. The morphology, size and structure of green synthesized iron nanoparticles using Azolla and Blue Green algae (AnZVI & BGAnZVI) were confirmed by Particle Size Analyzer (PSA), UV-visible spectroscopy (UVvis), Fourier Transform Infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR), Raman spectroscopy, Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM) and energy-Dispersive X-Ray Analysis (EDAX). The nanoparticles agglomerated clusters were ranging from 70-430 nm and due to biologic coating, the green nanoparticles possessed good stability. Since green synthesized nZVI emerged as potential ecofriendly nanomaterials in the field of environmental remediation, pharmaceutical and industrial level, these A-nZVI and BGA-nZVI indicate enhanced potential to serve as green nanomaterial in various applications.","PeriodicalId":249001,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Agricultural Science and Research","volume":"22 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121363086","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Morphometric parameters bring an idea, to know about rock structure, runoff, infiltration rate, erosion of the soil in the watershed etc. So that the study of morphometric characteristics is in demand, in order to work out a comprehensive development plan, for optimum use of watershed resources. The analysis could be achieved through measurement of linear, aerial and relief aspects. The present study has been undertaken, to compute morphological features of Kanakanala Reservoir Subwatershed, Karnataka. Computed values of Farm factor (Rf =0.65), Circulatory ratio (Rc=0.7) and Elongation ratio (Re=1) indicated that, the watershed is nearly circular in shape. The texture (7.9) indicated the intermediate texture, lying between coarse and fine. The drainage density (Dd=2.37 km/km ) indicated that, the area has a gentle slope, low rainfall and permeable bedrock. Hence, from the study, it is concluded that, the morphometric investigation is useful to bring an idea of watershed characterization so that we could make decision, about watershed prioritization, soil and water conservation and management of natural resources etc.","PeriodicalId":249001,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Agricultural Science and Research","volume":"98 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127158842","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The pathogen was initially isolated from infected root and a crown portion of Gerbera and confirmed the identification through morphological study. The pathogen Sclerotium rolfsii was mass multiplied in sterilized sorghum grain media, which was inoculated into the potting mixture (laterite soil, sand and compost in the ratio 3:1:1) at the rate of 5 g of inoculum per kg of pot mix. Then the pots were kept in completely randomized design (CRD) arranged in 7 treatments & 3 replications for both bio control agents and fungicides experimentation under glass-house conditions. As a result, T4 was found to be the best bio control treatment and T3 as best fungicidal treatment against Sclerotium rolfsii with enhanced the growth parameters like plant height, root length and no. of flowers of Gerbera.","PeriodicalId":249001,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Agricultural Science and Research","volume":"12 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114910241","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
