Data from 360 Peruvian (Latin American) SME top managers (two informants from each of 180 SMEs) were quantitatively analyzed using Smart PLS 3.0 (SEM) and SPSS V25. The purpose of this study was to look into the direct impact of attitude, knowledge, and perceived ease of use on blockchain technology adoption for green energy usage. These three parameters' indirect effects on perceived feasibility were also evaluated. The investigations demonstrated a positive and significant association between blockchain technology adoption and perceived ease of use for green energy usage. There is no typical link between green energy usage attitudes and blockchain technology adoption. Furthermore, the data revealed that perceived feasibility mediates the impact between attitude and knowledge and blockchain technology adoption for green energy usage.","PeriodicalId":248997,"journal":{"name":"Handbook of Research on Social Impacts of E-Payment and Blockchain Technology","volume":"11 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126370443","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Electronic payment systems require online financial transactions that utilize some digital financial devices. They have allowed government, businesses, and financial institutions to propose a multiple of payment opportunities to their customers. These payment opportunities include charge account credit, master card, mobile banking, and automatic teller machine and payments bills through the mobile. Mobile financial services (MFS) performed a crucial role within the present online business and other business and financial services performed within the busy and pandemic world. The study is empirical in nature of MFS and its implications in Bangladesh. Finally, the study presents an overview of challenges and prospects of MFS in Bangladesh, focusing on some development strategies for policy holders. Researchers propose how MFS operators solve the MFS-related problems, overcome the challenges, satisfy the customers, and increase their service.","PeriodicalId":248997,"journal":{"name":"Handbook of Research on Social Impacts of E-Payment and Blockchain Technology","volume":"259 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122628063","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This chapter aims to understand customer attitude towards the gratification sought from mobile payment and further investigate its influence on promoting customer engagement. Uses and gratification theory offered the underpinning theoretical explanation in the development of the conceptual framework for this study. This chapter provided a theoretical explanation in discoursing the role of the mobile wallet for promoting customer engagement. The linkage to the customer engagement for the mobile wallet operators was missing in the literature. In addition, the conceptual development of mobile wallets based on the uses and gratification perspective was critical in providing the foundation needed for mobile payment literature.","PeriodicalId":248997,"journal":{"name":"Handbook of Research on Social Impacts of E-Payment and Blockchain Technology","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129888684","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Society is difficult with people's needs being higher, especially in daily spending and consumption, but many consumers are also tending to not want to keep too much cash on hand. In addition, the world is facing the COVID-19 pandemic, and Vietnam, in particular, has pushed businesses to focus on developing a cashless payment application called an e-wallet to pay bills to meet consumer needs. This chapter is based on concepts and theories of the technology acceptance model related to intention to use the e-wallets to form the research model comprising the independent factors of perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use, perceived risk, social influence, and perceived trust. This study uses the optimal choice of the AIC algorithm, and all the factors are acceptable.","PeriodicalId":248997,"journal":{"name":"Handbook of Research on Social Impacts of E-Payment and Blockchain Technology","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130424513","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

However, many voters and voting administrators are still skeptical because of security concerns and a lack of trust in these systems. Traditional online voting represents the older version of internet-based technology as well as the use of paper ballots. Consequently, the use of the blockchain seems like a more suitable technical solution to ensure online voting is secure and to enable trust by the voters and administrators of voting. The latter would lead to increased voter participation in elections. This chapter per the author attempts to answer the following research questions: What is the impact of the blockchain on the political processes especially when constituents vote? What is the essence of online voting via the blockchain and what are its benefits? What are the vulnerabilities when applying the blockchain when used in online voting?","PeriodicalId":248997,"journal":{"name":"Handbook of Research on Social Impacts of E-Payment and Blockchain Technology","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125140520","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

A multiple channel strategy allows customer interaction from various angles but does not provide a flawless, coherent user experience. This chapter identifies key factors that drive a successful omni-channel platform and proposes a successful omni-channel strategy framework. A survey consisting of 21 items was administered to gain customers' perspectives on channels provided by a particular company. Descriptive analysis was performed to study the underlying issues faced by customers when making complaints, service request, and enquiries via the multi-channel interaction provided. Findings show that eight technological and four customer engagement factors contribute to a comprehensive omni-channel strategy framework for a deeper understanding on the significance of a flawless user platform.","PeriodicalId":248997,"journal":{"name":"Handbook of Research on Social Impacts of E-Payment and Blockchain Technology","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130093336","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The process also raises a question about the ownership of credit scores. In this chapter, the authors propose a solution based on a combination of decentralized identifier (DID) W3C blockchain and cryptographic wallet to make it possible to make credit scores possible. A decentralized identifier to enable a loan applicant to assert who he/she is without relying on a centralized identity issuer is key to enabling loan applicants to own his/her own credit score. The use of blockchain is to enable loan applicants to have his/her identity recorded immutably on a store that is trusted by all parties. Finally, the use of a cryptographic wallet is to enable loan applicants to assert identities on demand and prove his/her assertion.","PeriodicalId":248997,"journal":{"name":"Handbook of Research on Social Impacts of E-Payment and Blockchain Technology","volume":"143 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115463649","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
