In order to attract tourists from around the world, a country must open up to the international order. Myanmar is one of many countries opening itself up in order to promote the country among tourists. A lot of infrastructure developments, especially in the field of tourism, were done in Myanmar, such as hotels and recreation areas. But the Myanmar government uses their authority to force men who take military services to do some labor jobs. Hence, this issue was exposed and got a lot of criticisms from international society, some countries even boycotting Myanmar’s tourism, as well as Myanmar’s recent security and humanity issue regarding violence to Rohingya people that was done by Myanmar’s military. Apparently, this issue aggravates Myanmar’s image in a lot of tourists’ perspectives. So many tourists cancelled their holiday plan in Myanmar because of this Rohingya issue. In this journal, there will be a discussion about how humanity issues could affect the image of a country which will later affect the tourism field as well.","PeriodicalId":248579,"journal":{"name":"Journal of ASEAN Dynamics and Beyond","volume":"22 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-12-19","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115487484","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This problem becomes important to deal with because Indonesia's maritime potential cannot be maximized as long as IUU Fishing practices remain. The author(s) formulated a problem in the form of \"How does protect Indonesian waters against the practice of IUU Fishing?\" The author(s) uses a qualitative descriptive method to analyze the problem of how IUU Fishing can be handled in Indonesian waters. The theory used is the Collective Security proposed by A.F.K Organski. In this paper, we argued that there must be decisive action to stop the activities of IUU Fishing and the government is expected to immediately pay attention to the importance of protecting Indonesian territorial waters from lurking hazards. Not only the danger of smuggling of goods and other information but also, activities such as violating ship crossings culminating in illegal fishing. It must be dealt with a strong legal basis so that in the future, it will become a warning for other countries that Indonesia is serious in safeguarding its sovereignty","PeriodicalId":248579,"journal":{"name":"Journal of ASEAN Dynamics and Beyond","volume":"39 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-12-19","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123220759","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It means that it cannot be separated from the perspective of the green movement that underlies environmentalism. Environmental issues are an implicative issue because it creates a chain reaction for many parties. In general, cities in the Southeast Asia region are facing the same issue, such as air pollution obtained from factories and motorized vehicles. Within the regional scope, ASEAN has taken the initiative to create regional cooperation that specifically addresses cross-border haze and other environmental issues within the framework of ASEAN cooperation. One of the ASEAN member countries, Singapore was able to hold down the Air Pollution Standard Index and become the 5th ranked country in Asia Pacific with the best air quality. Thus, Singapore experience better air quality than most other countries in Southeast Asia. The achievement of Singapore also involves government policies that pay great attention to environmental issues. The results of this paper provide views and alternatives that can be applied by other countries' governments, related to environmental issues","PeriodicalId":248579,"journal":{"name":"Journal of ASEAN Dynamics and Beyond","volume":"22 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-12-19","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131811983","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

With the development of its transmission, the COVID-19 virus or corona virus is classified as a virus that spreads rapidly. High transmission of course affects areas bordering or with high mobility charts, such as South Korea, Japan and Italy. Responding to the coronavirus case, the World Health Organization (WHO) has taken many actions. One of them is holding a meeting of virologists and disease management through various media, directly or indirectly, to identify the possibility of the corona virus occurring and being contagious. This is a challenge that must be resolved by many countries. Empathy and solidarity between countries are considered as the first steps to reduce the number of infections. In this regard, regional international organizations such as ASEAN have an important role to play in resolving this problem. The purpose of this journal article is made to see the response given by international organizations in the ASEAN region, in the political and security sector during the coronavirus pandemic.","PeriodicalId":248579,"journal":{"name":"Journal of ASEAN Dynamics and Beyond","volume":"8 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-12-19","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127633340","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

We know a variety of conflicts today, from the conflict preexisting since a long time ago such as intertribal conflict to more modern conflict such as a state’s tapping over another. The way of resolving conflict is also varying according to the types of conflict, big conflict such as interstate conflict or the one attracting the world’s attention, using more complex resolution and usually using the third party. Therefore, a special organization will be founded to solve a conflict. One of organizations created to solve a conflict is the Extraordinary Chambers in The Courts of Cambodia (ECCC) aiming to try the war criminals during Khmer Rouge humanity crime incidence in 1975-1979. Humanity crime occurring in Cambodia is one of largest humanity tragedies in modern era post 2nd World War. This ECCC was founded because at that time Cambodia’s National Justice Institution could not try the perpetrator of humanity crime. Cambodian government along with UN then agreed to found a justice institution specifically aiming to deal with and to resolve Khmer Rouge case.","PeriodicalId":248579,"journal":{"name":"Journal of ASEAN Dynamics and Beyond","volume":"23 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-12-19","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125351040","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The threats that can attack a state can no longer be physical or traditional threats but also cyber threat. In dealing with cases occurring related to the issue, Singapore initiated the establishment of ASEAN-Singapore Cybersecurity Centre of Excellence (ASCCE) to ascertain cybersecurity stability in ASEAN region. However, it of course results in various speculations and potencies likely occurring when cybersecurity is concentrated and controlled on one country only. Therefore, this journal analyzed ASCCE-related potency and threat likely occurring in ASEAN using Speech Act, Securitization, Wideners, International Cooperation, and Information Technology Management theories. In addition, the author also discussed the effectiveness of ASCCE performance in coping with cybercrimes and cyberthreats in ASEAN and their effect on ASEAN states.","PeriodicalId":248579,"journal":{"name":"Journal of ASEAN Dynamics and Beyond","volume":"270 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-12-18","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125240224","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
