The approach adopted uses linear prediction for data extrapolation before performing Fourier reconstruction. Preliminary results of rotating platform imaging based on experimental data acquired in a microwave anechoic chamber show that this technique shows promise for improving the resolution capability of range-Doppler imaging radars. Owing to using the FA, some new problems are created for the MTD processor in a compatible system: coherent processing with short sequence, ground clutter rejection, non-coherent integrated detection, and proper operation in the different FA modes. The appropriate measures introduced include the selection of FA modes, the optimization of filter design, the utilization of Kalman filtering, a new CFAR circuit, and three algorithms for detection. In exchange for adding some processing and memory overhead, RTOM reduces the development, integration, and maintenance manpower costs of large real-time systems. This trade-off is feasible with improved hardware performance and capabilities, reduced hardware costs, increased software complexity, and increased manpower costs. These concepts, combined with advances in software language structure, offer the potential to significantly reduce software acquisition cost as well as enhance the capability to produce software to a schedule. They require changes in the way that software management is implemented, but the potential for payoff for the individual company and to the industry is high. Many of the current program management techniques were validated on hardware development programs but they are being applied to both hardware and software. These techniques will require modification in order to be fully effective for software development. The author recommends changes and presents the rationale for each recommendation. The first experiment involving the use of the TPAT was an attempt to quantify the G-excess effect. This effect is the basis for a pilot illusion that can cause overbanking of an aircraft. The G-excess illusion is an exaggerated sensation of body tilt caused by a greater than 1 Gz acceleration on the otolith organs of the vestibular system. The experimental design includes several tests of the TPAT as a cross modal measurement technique. The use of the TPAT in this experiment has resulted in an expanded and progressive experimental design which is considerably larger and more complex than a typical experiment on the DES (Dynamic Environment Simulator). To catalog and describe the use of these tools and databases, Human Systems Division, Deputy for Developmental Plans (HSD/XR), together with Aeronautical Systems Division's Manpower, Personnel and Training Directorate (ASD/ALH) undertook a two-year study of tools, databases, and the acquisition decisions they support. In addition, ASD/ALH continues to keep current with the most promising MPTS tools, databases, and Information Analysis Centers which can be used by United States Air Force personnel and their contractors to conduct MPTS/HSI analysis. The AACU is the next generation of avionics COMSEC (communications security) devices. The simulation model of the AACU involves doing a gate-level model of the AACU bus interface hardware and a behavioral model of the functionality of the rest of the AACU. The AACU functionality demonstrated by the behavioral model involves emulating custom LSI and several microprocessors which perform the black box COMSEC functionality of the AACU. The behavioral model emulates the correct timing, state transition, and COMSEC functionality of the AACU. He focuses on the planning system's ability to detect, without relying on scripts desired in advance by domain experts. It would place an intolerable burden on domain experts to ask them to specify in advance all patterns of plansteps where cooperation would occur. In order to reason about opportunities for cooperation, the classical concepts of precondition and postcondition are supplemented with the concept of conditions which persist over finite intervals of time.
