A key for the identification of the 33 species is provided. All species are described and illustrated with line drawings, chromosome numbers are reported, typification and relationships are discussed, and collections are listed; scanning electron micrographs of the spores are provided for 29 species. New taxa described include one section (Viridisquamata), nine species (R. areolata, R. blackii, R. caroliniana, R. collata, R. luticola, R. longiciliata, R. olgensis, R. rorida and R. spongiosula), and five varieties (R. duplex var. megaspora, R. rnultifida var. divaricata, R. rnj?da var. jiliformis, R. mult~jida var. torticolla and R. papulosa var. variabilis). Two binomials are considered to be of uncertain status.","PeriodicalId":246712,"journal":{"name":"Brunonia","volume":"20 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125982685","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

A total of 61 native species are recognized in six infrageneric groups. Seven new species are described and illustrated: D. falcata, D. glandulosa, D. intricata, D. rigida, D. sinuolata, D. subglandulifera and D. uncinata. Two new subspecies and two new varieties are described: D. sinuolata ssp. acrodentata, D. viscosa ssp. mucronata, D. lanceolata van subsessilifolia and D. microzyga var. acrolobata. D. cuneata and D. angustissima are reduced to subspecific level in the polymorphic D. viscosa and the following subspecies are also recognized within D. viscosa: ssp. viscosa, ssp. burmanniana, spp. angustifolia and ssp. spatulata. A general key to the species, another based on vegetative features and keys to the infraspecific taxa are provided. Fruits and leaf outlines of all recognized taxa are illustrated.","PeriodicalId":246712,"journal":{"name":"Brunonia","volume":"14 16","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"113934475","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
