Bioreeftek is a technology developed by the KKP Research and Observation Center (Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries) in the past few years. This research will examine the number of coral recruitment in coconut shells as natural artificial substrates in 3-5 and 8-10m depths. The coconut shells module composed of 9 pieces consisting of 3 modules installed 1 coconut shell each pole, 3 modules installed 2 coconut shells each pole, and 3 coconut shells attached 3 coconut shells each pole. Retrieval of coral sapling data for about ±4 months. Data is taken directly (in situ) by looking the number of juvenils attached to each substrate. The results obtained show the attachment of two genera of juvenil namely acropora and pocillopora at each depth. The highest number of attachments is found in modules that have 3 shells in each module. {"title":"STABILITAS SAMPAN DENGAN BILGE KEEL PADA SUDUT 30 DAN 60 DERAJAT","authors":"M. Thahir","doi":"10.35308/JPT.V5I2.1033","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.35308/JPT.V5I2.1033","url":null,"abstract":"Pembuatan sampan berbahan ember cat bekas diharapkan dapat menjadi alternatif pengganti kayu yang semakin sulit diperoleh dan pengganti bahan serat fiber yang tidak murah. Namun sampan ini memiliki kekurangan, yakni stabilitasnya yang rendah. Bobotnya yang ringan membuat sampan mudah oleng meskipun hanya beroperasi diperairan yang relatif tenang. Oleh karenanya instalasi sirip peredam oleng (bilge keel) diharapkan dapat meningkatkan stablitas sampan ini. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendapatkan nilai stabililitas sampan dengan instalasi bilge keel pada sudut yang berbeda dalam rangka mendapatkan stabilitas sampan yang baik. Ukuran sampan yang dijadikan obyek dalam penelitian ini adalah panjang (LOA) 3,15 m; lebar (B) 0,64 m; dalam (D) 0,30 m. Metode simulasi numerik untuk mendapatkan nilai stabilitas serta beberapa parameter seakeeping (pitching, roling dan heaving) digunakan dalam penelitian ini dengan bantuan perangkat lunak yang sesuai. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan stabilitas yang ditunjukkan oleh nilai lengan GZ (righting arm) pada sampan yang dipasangi bilge keel dengan sudut 30 dan 60 derajat sebesar 0,002 m. In addition, mangrove crab is one of export commodities to several countries such as United States, Europe, Australia, Japan, Hongkong,Taiwan, Singapore and South Korea. In general, the fishing activities of mangrove crabs in the general waters of many fishermen use different baits,it's just not known which bait is best for catching mangrove crabs. The purpose ofthis study is to determine the effect of using different types of bait to the mangrove crab catch by using bubu and know the type of bait that is most effective against the catching of mangrove crab. This research method used Completely Randomized Design (RAL) with three treatments and three replications: P1 = shredded fish, P2 = Shark skin bark, and P3 = Chicken head bait. The parameters in this study are the number of catches, the feed response and the water quality parameters, the results of this study indicate the number of catches P1 = 55.55%, P2 = 22.22% and P3 = 33.33%. While feed response time in this research P1 = 1.61, P2 = 12.03, and P3 = 11.74. From the results of this study showed the use of different baits have a very significant effect on the number of mangrove crabs (scilla serata). Quality of deterioration of fish takes place in a very fast, so it takes the right treatment to inhibit decay processes that occur either chemically or enzymatically. The aimed of this studywas performed to determine the rate of quality deterioration of catfish phase pre rigor, rigor mortis, and post rigor during storage chilling temperature. The proximate value of catfish content for protein, moisture, ash,fat, and carbohydrate was 2.94%, 77.78%, 1.35%, 0.95%, 16.96% respectevely. Results of pH testedincrease from 6.61to be 6.81. {"title":"IDENTIFIKASI EKTOPARASIT PADA UDANG PISANG (Penaeus sp.) Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada bulan Mei sampai dengan Juli 2018. Metode yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah metode survey, dimana sampel Udang Pisang didapatkan dari tambak budidaya Kabupaten Aceh Barat. Selanjutnya dilakukan pengamatan ektoparasit pada Laboratorium MIPA Terpadu Universitas Teuku Umar. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ditemukan tiga jenis ektoparasit pada sampel Udang Pisang selama penelitian yaitu Vorticella sp., Epistylis sp. dan Zoothamnium sp. Prevalensi untuk masing-masing ektoparasit adalah Zoothamnium sp. sebesar 75%, Vorticella sp. 65% dan Epistylissebanyak 50%. Intensitas ektoparasit untuk masing-masing jenis ektoparasit yang ditemukan adalah Zoothamnium sp. sebanyak 9.60ind/ekor,Vorticella sp. sebanyak 4.38ind/ekor dan Epistylissebanyak 6.80 ind/ekor.
