In this paper, we present a new model, which combines the non-equidistant GM(1,1) model with GCHM_WBO (GCHM, Generalized Contra-Harmonic Mean; WBO, Weakening Buffer Operator), to solve the deadlock that a large number of non-equidistant corrosion rate is difficult to establish a reasonable prediction model and to improve prediction accuracy. It contains a morphing parameter, so as to effectively control the intensity of the weakening operator. The present paper proposes an algorithm to calculate morphing parameter based on a given sample. Finally, the model is applied to predict the corrosion rate of the same series of 6 steels at Guangzhou Experimental Station, and relative error of prediction is within 8.89% to predict the corrosion rate of the 15th year.","PeriodicalId":246110,"journal":{"name":"2015 IEEE International Conference on Grey Systems and Intelligent Services (GSIS)","volume":"45 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-11-03","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114845637","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The distinguishing feature of the WGA operator is that, when an attribute value among attribute values of an alternative is on the low side, it will have a significant impact on the overall evaluation of the alternative. The proposed method is suitable for group decision making problems in which the attribute weights are known, but the expert weights are completely unknown.","PeriodicalId":246110,"journal":{"name":"2015 IEEE International Conference on Grey Systems and Intelligent Services (GSIS)","volume":"47 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-10-27","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121428619","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

To solve this problem, we devise a novel algorithm to identify overlapping communities in social networks with Grey Relational Analysis. This paper presents the edge vector which is a measure of relationships among nodes, and uses balanced closeness degree to describe edge similarity, computes edge clusters and finally obtains overlapping community structure. The effectiveness and the efficiency of the new algorithm is evaluated by experiments on both real-world and the computer-generated datasets.","PeriodicalId":246110,"journal":{"name":"2015 IEEE International Conference on Grey Systems and Intelligent Services (GSIS)","volume":"22 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-10-26","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116710627","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In this context, the internet has become the meeting place between companies and their targeted audience. Recent studies have shown us that customers are more likely to buy a certain product or service from a company they can follow or contact on social media. Moreover, the customers that are using social media feel a stronger relationship with the companies they are interacting with in virtual networks. But have the companies succeeded in getting everything from this strong relationship? Are their online advertising campaigns getting to the right customers? Is there any connection between social media engagement and the decisions users are taking? These questions are going to be addressed in this paper through a grey relational analysis applied to the selected variables. As the nature of relationships created in online social networks is characterized by incomplete information, the analysis will make use of the concepts and means offered by the grey systems theory, a theory that has obtained good results over time when used on uncertain situations.","PeriodicalId":246110,"journal":{"name":"2015 IEEE International Conference on Grey Systems and Intelligent Services (GSIS)","volume":"205 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-10-26","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122684802","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The empirical model was based on 0.5-, 0.75-, 1-, 2-year investigation of concrete in a salt lake site. Regression analysis of the data was carried out by applying Fick's second law of diffusion to generate an empirical formula for chloride concentration in concrete. The model used mineral admixture content, distance from the concrete surface, and exposure time. The results show that: (1) With the increase of mineral admixture content the chloride diffusion of concrete decrease. (2) The model can predict chloride concentration at any depth of cement and admixture concretes in a salt lake environment at any exposure period longer than 2 years. (3) Admixture strongly affected chloride diffusion in concrete; higher admixture replacement clearly produced better chloride resistance in concrete under a salt lake environment.","PeriodicalId":246110,"journal":{"name":"2015 IEEE International Conference on Grey Systems and Intelligent Services (GSIS)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-10-26","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129834178","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

FGCMs are supervised learning fuzzy-neural systems typically modeled with signed fuzzy grey weighted digraphs, generally involving feedbacks. It is hard to find an accurate mathematical model to describe this decision-making because it includes a high uncertainty and the factors involved interact each other. FGCMs are able to capture and imitate the nature of human being in describing, representing and developing models. They are good at processing fuzzy and grey information and have adaptive, intelligent features. This paper presents a FGCM-based decision support tool, which synthetically takes the related factors into account, offering objective parameters for selecting the fitter surveillance asset. The proposed method is robust, adaptive and simple.","PeriodicalId":246110,"journal":{"name":"2015 IEEE International Conference on Grey Systems and Intelligent Services (GSIS)","volume":"7 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-10-26","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116480702","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In this paper, a GM (1,1) model is applied to analyze the funds gap between supply and demand in region A. Firstly, the model is used to predict the amount of demand and supply of funds needed in region A during the “Thirteenth five” Plan. Then, corresponding countermeasures will be proposed to bridge the gap, which will be helpful to alleviate the constraints on economic development in this region caused by the shortage of funds. This will provide a new reference of funds-budget for similar underdeveloped and data deficient regions.","PeriodicalId":246110,"journal":{"name":"2015 IEEE International Conference on Grey Systems and Intelligent Services (GSIS)","volume":"25 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-10-26","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115778941","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In contrast, the traditional econometric regression models are invalid for the small sample because the estimator of coefficients lose the BLUE properties under the small sample circumstances. Based on the model, the forecasted values are given for the years of 2014 to 2017. The result indicates that the expected price of the economy will experience slow growth for the next three years, then change to high inflation for the year of 2017. Further, the result implies the increase of the price level and the decrease of the natural level of output through the channel of aggregate supply and aggregate demand. From the view of policy, the government should employ the mix expansion of fiscal policy and monetary policy in order to eliminate the fluctuation in output. Specifically for the year of 2017, the government should pay more attention to the increase of the price level besides improving the output. As a result the policy would change to be more prudent.","PeriodicalId":246110,"journal":{"name":"2015 IEEE International Conference on Grey Systems and Intelligent Services (GSIS)","volume":"52 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-10-26","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"134512527","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
