There are numerous cases where children lose their direction and ethics due to the influence of various media, technology, and foreign cultures. This research aims to examine the values of early childhood character education from the perspective of Malay identity principles by Tenas Effendy. The study employs a literature review method (library research). Data collection techniques involve studying literature and documentation of Tenas Effendy's writings on Malay Identity Principles. The data analysis technique used is content analysis. The research findings indicate that the values of children's character education in the Malay identity principles perspective of Tenas Effendy encompass eight aspects: religious character, honesty, hardworking nature, independence, responsibility, social concern, environmental awareness, and friendly/communicative nature. Therefore, implementing these noble values in children can help shape a strong foundation of character. This doesn't only prepare children for academic success but also builds a moral and ethical groundwork that will guide them in facing future challenges.","PeriodicalId":244635,"journal":{"name":"JOYCED: Journal of Early Childhood Education","volume":"85 6","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-12-26","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"139154921","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Many factors influence this, including the shy factor that makes you afraid to speak or tell stories. If the problem is not resolved immediately, it will be difficult for the child to express his feelings. The Read-Aloud method trains children to be able to retell the contents of fairy tales and stories to increase children's vocabulary. Packaging the Read Aloud method uses the media of illustrated children's story books and fairy tale books that can make young children interested in following them. In this study, the authors used a qualitative descriptive method. Data collection techniques used are observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of this study indicate that the implications of the Read Aloud method can stimulate early childhood development by increasing vocabulary so children's language skills can develop properly. Obstacles in this study were limited by changes in the behavior of research subjects which made researchers increase research time.","PeriodicalId":244635,"journal":{"name":"JOYCED: Journal of Early Childhood Education","volume":"63 ","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-06-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131623364","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Organizational commitment should be owned by every teacher/educator to achieve the goals of the educational institution listed in the vision and mission of the educational institution. However, commitment to the organization could be more concern for educational institutions. This study is to fill the literature gap and provide direction to stakeholders as a consideration for making references regarding transformational leadership style and teacher organizational commitment. The data collection method in this study used a scale with the Likert Model scale scoring technique. The hypothesis in the study is that there is a relationship between the perception of the principal's transformational leadership style and the teachers' organizational commitment. The population and sample in the study were all educators in kindergartens in Cilacap District, totaling 30 teachers/educators. Data collection methods using the Transformational Leadership Style scale and Organizational Commitment scale. The results of the Pearson Product Moment correlation analysis of the two variables amounted to (rxy) 0.402 (p < 0.014). The results showed a positive and very significant relationship between the perception of transformational leadership style and organizational commitment in teachers in kindergarten. The coefficient of determination of the correlation coefficient is R2 = 0.162. The conclusion from the data presented shows that leadership style provides an effective contribution to organizational commitment in teachers by 16.2%. The usefulness of this research is the need and importance of leadership style to determine the organizational commitment attached to teachers.","PeriodicalId":244635,"journal":{"name":"JOYCED: Journal of Early Childhood Education","volume":"29 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-06-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125544845","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Children with special needs with mental retardation tend to have various disorders, including speech delay, which requires treatment as soon as possible with the right strategy and stimulation. This study aims to describe educator strategies in stimulating mild retarded disabled children who experience speech delay. This study uses a descriptive approach through case studies of a child with mild mental retardation category having speech delay disorder. Data collection techniques used observation and interviews conducted directly at SLB-C Dharma Rena Ring Putra I Yogyakarta. At the same time, the data analysis technique uses the Miles and Huberman models with the data analysis stages, namely data reduction, data presentation, concluding, and verification by testing data wettability using triangulation techniques. The study results show that the language development of children with speech delay disorders in children with mild mental retardation can develop optimally through strategies that educators provide with various stimulations. The findings in this study are aspects that significantly influence dealing with speech delay disorder, namely parenting parents, speech therapy activities, educators understanding children's language in communicating, and exciting learning media through videos or pictures.","PeriodicalId":244635,"journal":{"name":"JOYCED: Journal of Early Childhood Education","volume":"43 5 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-06-29","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126601007","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
