Proposed system based on standard sensors as temperature, rotational speed and also air flow meter sensor. Empirical modeling with consideration of signals of above mentioned sensors allow estimation of harmful substances concentration in exhaust gases. The goal to introduce this monitoring system is to indicate such control of emission reduction system as EGR to achieve advantageous engine emission properties. It is required to collaborate monitoring system with EGR control system equipped with actuator as prototype EGR valve controlled during CAN Bus (Controlled Area Network). Electronically controlled valve has very high precision and recurrence of opening steps what allow to realization of stable operated recirculation system. Besides of this possibility to flexible programming of valve operating mode allow to adapting of valve opening steps to CI engine operating condition changes. Replacement of expensive sensors specialized to measure chosen gas and matter concentration allow to minimizing cost of emission reduction systems applied at combustion engines. Publication included initial test bench research results of estimated exhaust gas and matter concentration. There are also proposed simple rules to application in advanced control algorithm of emission reduction system.","PeriodicalId":244408,"journal":{"name":"2013 International Symposium on Electrodynamic and Mechatronic Systems (SELM)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2013-05-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128562528","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In the analysis a field-circuit model is used. The field model is calculated using the finite element method (FEM), while the circuit model is implemented in Matlab/Simulink software. The control algorithm as well as the graphical user interface (GUI) have been developed in the Matlab/Simulink package using the extended toolboxes. The controller uses a Texas Instruments digital signal processor (DSP) TMS320F2812. Data transfer is realized using the LPT port supported by the Real Time Workshop. Thus, it is possible to compare the results from the numerical model with the measured ones. A good conformity is obtained.","PeriodicalId":244408,"journal":{"name":"2013 International Symposium on Electrodynamic and Mechatronic Systems (SELM)","volume":"75 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2013-05-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123506856","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This requires their appropriate diagnosis. It is a difficult task to evaluate the condition of the different elements such as supporting structures, insulators, conductors in a continuous manner. The existing diagnostic methods are lengthy and expensive. The authors propose the use of image processing methods in the CAD environment for the diagnosis of the elements of overhead power lines, in particular, electrical and protective equipment.","PeriodicalId":244408,"journal":{"name":"2013 International Symposium on Electrodynamic and Mechatronic Systems (SELM)","volume":"83 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2013-05-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121459844","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In this particular method the detection of single wheel unbalance is made with help of acceleration sensor fixed on windscreen. Location of the sensor is convenient for handling an autonomous device used for diagnostic purposes. The goal is to select appropriate transformations and procedures in order to determine wheel unbalance. In this investigations regular and short time Fourier transform was used as well as wavelet transform. It was found that Fourier transforms utilized here are proper for static condition (constant velocity) but the results proves that the wavelet transform is more suitable for diagnostic purposes because of its ability to produce clearer output even if car accelerates or decelerates.","PeriodicalId":244408,"journal":{"name":"2013 International Symposium on Electrodynamic and Mechatronic Systems (SELM)","volume":"67 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2013-05-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116507063","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
