The system can identify the user from a multi-view camera setup at the begging of each session and a program-based algorithm will detect and analyze his or hers periodic activities. The algorithm can detect the beginning of a series of exercises of a given type, measures the duration of each of them, detects the end of the physical activity sequence, and measures the number of repetitions and deviation from a setup norm. The virtual coach application is managed by the user’s voice and gestures based on Microsoft Hololens.","PeriodicalId":243595,"journal":{"name":"2021 44th International Conference on Telecommunications and Signal Processing (TSP)","volume":"3 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-07-26","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126163922","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This behavior can be modelled using population-based game analysis approaches, which provide guidelines for coordination expressed in terms of repetition, duration of the game and the probability of initial cooperation. In this paper, we validate these premises by employing Brown’s Fictitious Play to perform a deterministic best-response analysis of coordination games. For this purpose, we perform Matlab simulations on 2x2 games with sequential update of the best-response strategy. As such, an agent’s strategy is determined as the best-response to the observed mix of the opponent. Our simulations are performed on three instances of the coordination game: Stag Hunt, the Assurance game and the limit condition for the existence of a risk-dominated strategy.","PeriodicalId":243595,"journal":{"name":"2021 44th International Conference on Telecommunications and Signal Processing (TSP)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-07-26","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122837550","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Several DNN types were investigated, including multilayer perceptrons (MLPs), recurrent neural networks (RNNs), and convolutional neural networks (CNNs), with the best performance being obtained for the latter. Additional postprocessing techniques, i.e., hysteresis thresholds, minimum duration filtering, and bilateral extension, were employed in order to boost performance. The systems were trained and tested using several data subsets of the CENSREC-1-C database, with different simulated ambient noise conditions, and additional testing was done on a different CENSREC-1-C data subset containing actual ambient noise, as well as on a subset of the TIMIT database. An accuracy of up to 99.13% was obtained for the CENSREC-1-C datasets, and 97.60% for the TIMIT dataset.","PeriodicalId":243595,"journal":{"name":"2021 44th International Conference on Telecommunications and Signal Processing (TSP)","volume":"249 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-07-26","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121312739","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The Benchmarking Working Group of IETF has standardized a benchmarking methodology for these technologies in the RFC 8219. One of the most important ones of these technologies is lightweight 4over6 (lw4o6), which is classified as an encapsulation technology in the RFC 8219. This paper aims at designing an RFC 8219 compliant test program for the lw4o6 devices, more specifically, the lightweight Basic Bridging BroadBand (lwB4) and the lightweight Address Family Transition Router (lwAFTR). For this purpose, we overviewed the operational requirements, specified the scope of measurements, and disclosed the design considerations for this tester.","PeriodicalId":243595,"journal":{"name":"2021 44th International Conference on Telecommunications and Signal Processing (TSP)","volume":"31 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-07-26","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125622290","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The characteristics of these services and their QoS requirements generate new challenges for the communication protocols. In order to cope with heavy congestions and the feedback implosion phenomenon Forward Error Correction (FEC) mechanisms were integrated into protocols controlling content distribution services and network coding techniques were proposed for peer-to-peer communications. The paper proposes a data transport protocol with integrated FEC mechanism intended to control the transmission between gateway nodes. The gateway level implementation allows protecting aggregated flows against packet drops generated by congestions and channel erasures. The proposed FEC enhanced data transport mechanism is combined with multipath transmissions between gateways, being exploited the diversity offered by such transmissions. A prototype protocol was implemented and experimentally evaluated on simulated transmission channels. The performance improvements of the proposed protocol in terms of packet erasure rate and jitter observed after decoding was demonstrated.","PeriodicalId":243595,"journal":{"name":"2021 44th International Conference on Telecommunications and Signal Processing (TSP)","volume":"20 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-07-26","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121975267","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The objective of the paper is to find change detection criteria based on Renyi entropy to detect changes in the modulation type of the signals. The entropy estimation is based on source identification paradigm, with a sliding window to assure stationarity of the processed data. A set of nine basic types of frequency modulated signals are used for testing, including additive noise. A quality criterion for change detection is considered, based on the distance among the average of the estimated entropies. The computer-based experiments reveal a good behavior for change detection in the modulation of the signals, especially for high order of the Renyi entropy. The effect of the signal-to-noise ratio is considered, and a working low limit of 10 dB is obtained. Based on different values of the change detection criteria, assigned to various modulation types, a classification of modulation could be considered.","PeriodicalId":243595,"journal":{"name":"2021 44th International Conference on Telecommunications and Signal Processing (TSP)","volume":"206 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-07-26","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132235885","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This study aims to introduce a new approach to sleep assessment that utilises the modelling of actigraphy data by a gradient boosting algorithm. The method is compared to a conventional baseline technique in terms of sleep/wake stages detection accuracy in a dataset containing 55 recordings of actigraphy and PSG (acquired from 28 subjects). In addition, we explored how well the outputs of the new method agree with data acquired via sleep diaries in another dataset including 150 recordings (22 subjects). With 97% sensitivity and 73%specificity, the new method significantly outperformed the baseline one in modelling the PSG ground truth. On the other hand, it had a lower agreement with the patient-reported outcomes. The results suggest that a combination of both approaches could be a good alternative to the golden standard in remote sleep assessment studies.","PeriodicalId":243595,"journal":{"name":"2021 44th International Conference on Telecommunications and Signal Processing (TSP)","volume":"26 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-07-26","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130279934","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Unfortunately, current static radio spectrum allocation policies are introducing an artificial spectrum scarcity problem. In this context, cognitive radio and spectrum licensing have been proposed as effective ways to guarantee adequate quality of service. In particular, the radio spectrum auction design is both answer and efficient solution to these problems. This paper provides a survey on auction-based methods applied to radio spectrum allocation in cognitive radio networks. We first outline the characteristics of radio spectrum regulation and spectrum sharing, as well as the advantages of a dynamic spectrum access framework. Then, we introduce the economic properties of conventional auctions. Finally, we present a comprehensive taxonomy of auction-based methods applied to spectrum allocation in cognitive radio networks, as well as their characteristics, and implementation issues that will improve the actual radio spectrum allocation mechanism.","PeriodicalId":243595,"journal":{"name":"2021 44th International Conference on Telecommunications and Signal Processing (TSP)","volume":"58 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-07-26","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"134583531","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
