In addition, other factors like safety policy and safety performance also influence the project’s success. The current study brought clarity to the assessment of the relationship of SMPs on project success by addressing moderation and mediation of safety training, safety meeting, safety communication, and safety inspection. A quantitative research strategy was employed to obtain the data from 231 safety and engineering professionals belonging to the construction industry in Punjab, Pakistan. The collected data was examined by structural equational modeling (SEM) through the partial least squares method by using Smart PLS. The results indicated that four SMPs, namely safety training, safety meeting, safety communication, and safety inspection reflect safety performance. The study concluded that SMPs have a positive and significant influence on project success. When these four SMPs are mediated with safety performance, it shows partial mediation between safety performance and project success. Meanwhile, when these four SMPs are moderated with a safety policy, results indicate a moderate to strong relationship between different variables with safety inspection showing insignificant values. The results may be utilized by the safety and engineering professionals working in the construction sector to improve their safety and project performance significantly Moreover, it is a contribution to the advancement of safety performance and improvement in Pakistan. \u0000 ","PeriodicalId":242178,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Applied Research and Multidisciplinary Studies","volume":"277 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-07-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121193299","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The current research contributes towards advancing an indigenous management innovation theory in the context of Pakistan.  Previously, many studies have been conducted to build this theory in the context of developed economies. The current study draws mainly on institutional perspective. It explores how several individual and organizational contextual factors enable a business firm to implement a portfolio of new management practices to manage innovation in the textile sector. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews. It resulted in exploring three contextual factors which remain critical to produce specific management innovations imperative for a company’s success. The findings allow the construction of propositions through encouraging future research. The implications for management theory and practice are also provided.","PeriodicalId":242178,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Applied Research and Multidisciplinary Studies","volume":"22 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-12-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116761947","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It was hypothesized that both groups will be different on marital adjustment and life satisfaction. Purposive sampling was employed to recruit a sample which accounted for 50 couples (n= 25 infertile couples with adopted child and n=25 infertile couples without adopted child) selected from Fatima memorial hospital Lahore and Daar-ul-usmania adoption center Lahore. Participants were required to fill a self-made demographic form, marital adjustment test)(Locke & Wallace, 1959) and Ryff psychological wellbeing scale (Ryff & Keyes, 1995). Descriptive analysis of data, independent sample t test were carried out to test the purposed hypotheses. Performance appraisal (PA) research has been of particular interest to researchers, and the role of the rater in determining the positive reactions has been under-researched. The role of the rater-ratee relationship has been the main focus of all rater-centric studies. However, the role of the rater’s expertise, i.e., knowledge and experience, has not been tested regarding ratee reactions. In this regard, we take the perspective of the systems theory and echelon theory to see the role of the rater’s knowledge, experience, and procedural justice (PJ) on the ratee’s SE. A survey questionnaire is used to collect data from 252 respondents from different sectors of the economy. Data were analyzed using SmartPLS-3. Results show that the rater’s knowledge does not directly predict the ratee’s SE. However, the rater’s knowledge predicts ratee’s SE indirectly through PJ and the rater’s experience moderates the indirect relationship between rater’s knowledge and ratee’s SE through PJ. The study provides important insights for policymakers regarding using expert raters who are knowledgeable and experienced to produce positive ratee reactions through fair processes.","PeriodicalId":242178,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Applied Research and Multidisciplinary Studies","volume":"32 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-12-09","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133771868","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Particularly, a lack of compliance contributes to substandard works, delayed project implementation that are above estimated budget in public road construction subsector. Deviating from regulatory framework is reported globally. Public procurement reforms underpin regulatory inefficiencies globally calling for strengthening to achieve value for money. Using data from private road contractors, this study determines compliance factors for public procurement regulatory framework in implementing public road construction projects. A cross-sectional research design with structured self-administered questionnaire was adopted and PLS-SEM through SmartPLS3 used to estimate compliance model. Findings reveal that sanctions on staff significantly enhances compliance with public procurement regulatory framework (α = 0.418, t = 1.995, p = 0.046). However, familiarity with regulatory framework, monitoring road construction activities, staff professionalism, perceived inefficiency and contractors’ resistance could not. Accordingly, management is encouraged to enforce strict sanction effectively to ensure compliance with regulatory framework.","PeriodicalId":242178,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Applied Research and Multidisciplinary Studies","volume":"15 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-09-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115619870","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

However, the reasons behind this are still uncertain. The objective of the current state of the art review research was to inspect the connection between MA and MP under various factors and theories at the school level. A total of 158 full-text studies were chosen by ensuring the inclusion and exclusion criteria. Moderation studies revealed that the link between MA and MP was changed differently depending on the complexity of mathematical assignments, the dimensions of MA, and the impacts on students’ grades. MA evaluated with affective and cognitive dimensions under various theories indicated an adverse relationship with MP. When MA is associated with fundamental mathematical activities, advanced mathematical tasks that demand multiple steps to solve revealed a higher adverse relationship with math anxiety. Furthermore, practical and theoretical aspects of the findings of the study are also discussed.","PeriodicalId":242178,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Applied Research and Multidisciplinary Studies","volume":"128 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-09-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128160312","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
