The proposed scheme outperforms the Quality-Based Channel State Feedback (QCF) scheme in the literature by selecting a scheduling outage group for data transmission when scheduling outage happens. We also analyze its performance in terms of average capacity and outage probability, and present a closed-form system average capacity expression over Rayleigh fading channels. In this paper, we explore the utility of radio-sensor network (RSN) to distinguish between humans and animals. We explore the phenomenon that signals are always affected by the presence of obstacles and identify human based on the received signals by transceivers, which leads to a potential low-cost way for personnel detection without specific sensors. In our study, the impulse radio ultra-wideband (IR-UWB) technology is selected for the RF transceiver due to the fact that it is not only energy efficient, but also robust against interferences. The principle component analysis (PCA) is applied to extract the feature vector, and a support vector machine is used as the target classifier. However, the pilot contamination in Massive MIMO channel estimation process, rooted from the pilot reuse, is a critical problem that severely degrades the performance of the system. This work aims to address the problem of pilot contamination in covariance-aided channel estimation methods while considering practical scenarios where the channel covariance matrices change due to a new user arrival and users mobility. To that end, we first design a method to track the channel covariance matrices and then use these estimated values in Bayesian estimation. Simulation results indicate that the normalized mean square error (NMSE) for both channel covariance matrices and the CSI itself of our proposed methods are much lower than those of classical methods based on least square (LS) and Bayesian estimation. Additionally, for the case that users move slowly (e.g., at walking speed), our proposed method can provide satisfactory performance for more than three times as much as classical Bayesian estimation before system re-train channel covariance matrices. However, due to the diversity of data source, existing approaches have their own limitations in supervised and unsupervised learning. To deal with the downlink inter-cell interference which is caused by the frequency reuse and the characteristics of the OFDMA, an interference management algorithm using big data is proposed. Since big data analytics has become more and more popular in wireless optimization, it is a very effective approach to mitigate the interference and the outage probability by analyzing the huge amount of wireless network measurements and diagnosis data. By obtaining and analyzing the measurement report (MR) and counters (records of the performance indicators of networks) from existing networks, an interference management algorithm (IMA) is proposed based on big data analytics. In order to reduce the great computational complexity of the exhaustive user-relay assignment algorithm which provides the best performance in multi-user multi-relay environment, we propose a suboptimal low complexity user-relay assignment algorithm. The proposed algorithm can also optimize the achievable system average sum rate and improve the system outage probability. Simulation results and analysis demonstrate the efficiency and superiority of the proposed algorithm in average system sum rate and outage probability of the worst user. However, most studies just consider one of them. This paper proposes an adaptive energy-efficient and user's quality of experience optimization method to maximize the overall satisfaction of video services. Video content is encoded by the scalable video coding (SVC), which can provide mobile video services at different quality levels with associated energy consumption. Based on SVC, the power consumption model and video quality model of mobile video services are established. Then a utility function is proposed to measure overall satisfaction, which is defined to weight the energy consumption and the video quality. QoE and energy consumption are jointly optimized by dynamically triggering the layer switching during the video reproduction. The particle swarm optimization (PSO) algorithm is used to obtain the optimal solution. Understanding structure of RNA helps understanding the mechanism of actions within the cell. It is widely believed that the functions of bimolecular are dictated by its structure. This paper employs a RNA primary structure as an input and predicts its secondary structure by finding all possible helices in a RNA sequence. The problem is modelled as a combinatorial optimization problem. The objective is to find the combination of helices that forms the RNA secondary structure that has minimum free energy calculated via Individual Nearest Neighbor Hydrogen Bond model (INN-HB). This paper proposes an effective evolutionary algorithm, Coincidence Algorithm, to solve this problem. The ten known RNA sequences, a variety of lengths and various different organisms, are used to test the proposed method in terms of specificity, sensitivity and F-measure. The results are compared with others heuristic methods: RnaPredict and SARNA-Predict.
