In this paper, we take the 12 May 2008 Wenchuan earthquake as an example, use the spatial gridding method to construct the background field over the epicenter, analyze the background characteristics of very low frequency (VLF) electric field components, low-energy particle parameters, and plasma parameters, and define the perturbation intensity index of each parameter before the earthquake to extract each parameter anomaly in both space and time dimensions. The results show that the background values of some ionospheric parameters in the Wenchuan area are related to spatial distribution. Moreover, anomalous enhancement of low-frequency electric field power spectral density, H + concentration, He + concentration and ion concentration with different intensities and anomalous weakening of ion temperature were extracted in the fifteen days before the Wenchuan earthquake. After filtering the data to exclude external interference, such as solar activity, this paper concludes that there is some connection between these anomalies and the Wenchuan earthquake.","PeriodicalId":23976,"journal":{"name":"Wuhan University Journal of Natural Sciences","volume":"54 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"136204163","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The core of H-CF is a linear weighted hybrid algorithm based on the Latent Factor Model (LFM) and the Improved Item Clustering and Similarity Calculation Collaborative Filtering Algorithm (ITCSCF). To begin with, the items are clustered based on their attribute dimension, which accelerates the computation of the nearest neighbor set. Subsequently, H-CF enhances the formula for scoring similarity by penalizing popular items and optimizing unpopular items. This improvement enhances the rationality of scoring similarity and reduces the impact of data sparseness. Furthermore, a weighting function is employed to combine the various improved algorithms. The balance factor of the weighting function is dynamically adjusted to attain the optimal recommendation list. To address the real-time and scalability concerns, the algorithm leverages the Spark big data distributed cluster computing framework. Experiments were conducted using the public dataset MovieLens, where the improved algorithm's performance was compared against the algorithm before enhancement and the algorithm running on a single machine. The experimental results demonstrate that the improved algorithm outperforms in terms of data sparsity, recommendation personalization, accuracy, recall, and efficiency.","PeriodicalId":23976,"journal":{"name":"Wuhan University Journal of Natural Sciences","volume":"29 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"136206436","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

However, the BTHUA is faced with uneven industrial development and environmental pollution problems. Energy efficiency of the industrial sector, critical to energy conservation and environmental protection, is the key to achieving green economic transformation. For this reason, this study adopts the parametric meta-frontier approach to measure the industrial total-factor energy efficiency (TFEE) of the BTHUA, centering on the evaluation of regional technology gap ratio (TGR). Empirical results indicate that there are significant regional disparities of industrial TFEE in the BTHUA. In particular, industrial TFEE tends to be underestimated without considering technological heterogeneity in production technology. The TGRs of manufacturing cities, tourist cities, and the modernized metropolis (Beijing) are the highest among the region. On this basis, the influencing factors of industrial TFEE of the BTHUA are further accessed based on the fixed effects model and the Tobit model. This article verifies that the evaluation of TFEE in the BTHUA must take regional technological gap into account, and provides additional empirical evidence on how to promote coordinated regional industrial development and energy efficiency improvement.</p>","PeriodicalId":23976,"journal":{"name":"Wuhan University Journal of Natural Sciences","volume":"16 1","pages":"52263-52276"},"PeriodicalIF":5.8,"publicationDate":"2022-07-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"74556616","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Magnetic resonance (MR) imaging is being increasingly used as an important modality to localize prostate cancer. Therefore, localizing prostate cancer in MRI with automated detection methods has become an active area of research. Many methods have been proposed for this task. However, most of previous methods focused on identifying cancer only in the peripheral zone (PZ), or classifying suspicious cancer ROIs into benign tissue and cancer tissue. Few works have been done on developing a fully automatic method for cancer localization in the entire prostate region, including central gland (CG) and transition zone (TZ). In this paper, we propose a novel learning-based multi-source integration framework to directly localize prostate cancer regions from in vivo MRI. We employ random forests to effectively integrate features from multi-source images together for cancer localization. Here, multi-source images include initially the multi-parametric MRIs (i.e., T2, DWI, and dADC) and later also the iteratively-estimated and refined tissue probability map of prostate cancer. Experimental results on 26 real patient data show that our method can accurately localize cancerous sections. The higher section-based evaluation (SBE), combined with the ROC analysis result of individual patients, shows that the proposed method is promising for in vivo MRI based prostate cancer localization, which can be used for guiding prostate biopsy, targeting the tumor in focal therapy planning, triage and follow-up of patients with active surveillance, as well as the decision making in treatment selection. The common ROC analysis with the AUC value of 0.832 and also the ROI-based ROC analysis with the AUC value of 0.883 both illustrate the effectiveness of our proposed method.</p>","PeriodicalId":23976,"journal":{"name":"Wuhan University Journal of Natural Sciences","volume":"9 1","pages":"44-57"},"PeriodicalIF":5.7,"publicationDate":"2016-09-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC5508576/pdf/","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"74038563","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"OA","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
