While it can be unsightly, it can also be quite painful and can prevent you from moving comfortably. Warts are widespread in the worldwide population. Although the frequency is unknown, warts are estimated to affect approximately 7-12% of the population. In school-aged children, the prevalence is 10-20%. An increased frequency also is seen among immune-suppressed patients and meat handlers. According to Ayurveda, this ailment can be compared with Charmakeela. The pathogenesis of this disease due to vitiation of Vata along with Kapha over the skin causes the development of hard nail structures called Charmakeela. Snuhi (Euphorbia neriifolia), also called Sehund, is an Ayurvedic herb used for the treatment of swelling, for purgation, cough, rhinitis and piles. Snuhi Kshara is an alkaline Ayurvedic medicine, in powder form. Kshara, being a caustic chemical and alkaline in nature, useful as the substitute of surgical instruments. It is a milder procedure compared to surgery and thermal cautery. It is the superior most among the sharp and subsidiary instruments because of performing excision, incision and scraping.","PeriodicalId":23975,"journal":{"name":"World journal of Pharmacy and pharmaceutical sciences","volume":"60 1","pages":"1550-1555"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-09-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"88168593","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Present conjugate approach stands for modification to overcome pharmaceutical barriers like solubility behavior. The prodrugs designed by classical approach increase lipophilicity of the drug, which decreases the water solubility thus decreasing the concentration gradient, which controls drug absorption. To overcome the limitations of traditional prodrug approach, water soluble conjugates are designed by adding selected amino acid to the drug moiety that are the substrates for the enzyme located at the intestinal brushborder. Amino acid conjugate of ketoprofen was synthesized by conventional coupling method and it was characterized by Melting Point, TLC, UV, IR, NMR and Mass Spectroscopy. Serine Ketoprofen conjugate has maximum water solubility. Present research work indicates that conjugates synthesized with amino acid possess more water solubility. From the pH rate profile it was found that all the synthesized compounds, are stable at low pH values (pH 1.2), while undergo hydrolysis as the pH is increased (pH 7.4). This indicates that the synthesized compounds will be hydrolyzed and subsequently absorbed through intestine. In future this approach can be applied to other NSAIDs having free carboxyl functional group as well as in vivo bioavailability study can be undertaken in animals and can be correlated in humans.","PeriodicalId":23975,"journal":{"name":"World journal of Pharmacy and pharmaceutical sciences","volume":"93 1","pages":"1885-1896"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-09-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"80452143","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
