Knowing the relationship between level of anxiety and musculoskeletal discomfort in Turkish dancers could be beneficial for the development of approaches to prevent injuries that occur different body parts. The aim of this study was to determine the relationship between sport injury anxiety and musculoskeletal discomfort in folk dancers and to analyze body parts with this point of view. Material and Methods: Fifty-four folk dancers whose mean age was 22.0 years participated the study (37 males, 17 females). Sport injury anxiety was assessed using the Sports Injury Anxiety Scale while the frequency and severity of musculoskeletal discomfort were assessed with the Cornell Musculoskeletal Discomfort Questionnaire. The correlation coefficients were calculated using Spearman test. Results: Overall musculoskeletal discomfort positively and moderately correlated with total sport injury anxiety in folk dancers (p=0.001, r=0.442). On the other hand, sport injury anxiety was significantly related to musculoskeletal discomfort in neck, both legs and left foot alone when body part analyzed (p

Blood tests taken in the emergency room and chest computed tomography findings were examined. The risk factors for the severity and mortality of the chest computed tomography findings and biomarkers in terms of intensive care needs of COVID-19 patients were assessed. \u0000Results: Data from 113 COVID-19 patients were reviewed retrospectively. Of these patients, 40 did not have pulmonary involvement. The most common chest computed tomography finding was ground-glass opacity (n=47, 41.6%). In 16 patients with COVID-19 hospitalized in the intensive care unit and 7 patients with COVID-19 with the risk of mortality, it was found that severe pulmonary involvement and leukocyte, neutrophil, D-dimer, troponin I, urea, LDH, CRP, and procalcitonin values were significantly higher, and lymphocyte, thrombocyte, and albumin levels were significantly lower. \u0000Conclusion: It was observed that the need for intensive care and the mortality risk increased when there was an increase in leukocyte, neutrophil, D-dimer, CRP, procalcitonin, urea, and troponin values, and severe computed tomography findings, and a decrease in lymphocyte, thrombocyte, and albumin values.

However, it can negatively affect life due to its side effects and increase the stress level of patients and their need for social support. In the literature, there is a need for studies about the coping styles and social support levels of cancer patients who are planning to have stem cell transplantation. This study was carried out to determine the social support levels and the styles of coping with stress of cancer patients with planned stem cell transplantation and to determine the relationship between them. \u0000 \u0000Material and Methods: A total of 68 cancer patients participated in this study, which was planned with descriptive and correlational design. The "Patient Information Form", "Multidimensional Scale of Perceived Social Support" and "Styles of Coping with Stress" were used to collect data. \u0000 \u0000Results: Cancer patients with planned stem cell transplantation perceived social support most from their significant other. Positive attitudes of the patients (self-confident, optimistic) in coping with stress were at high level, and negative attitudes (desperate, submissive, seeking social support) were at moderate level. As the age of the patients increased, their approach to seeking social support decreased (r=-0.240; p=0.049). The social lives of the patients were affected more compared to their work and family life during the disease, and those living in the nuclear family used positive approaches more in coping with stress (p

These outcomes are upsetting to patients, their families, and society as a whole. Although opioids and non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs are the cornerstone of the nociceptive pain treatment, the use of these drugs is restricted due to their side effects.
