The field experiment was designed with randomised complete block design using three replicates in Grdmal village, south Erbil, which is 30 km far from centre of Erbil, Iraq. Statistical analysis of the traits shown significant differences among the nine cotton genotypes, significantly maximum fiber strength, fiber elongation and protein yield (33.20 (g tex -1 ), 6.80 % and 118.27) were recorded by the first Iraq’s genotype Lachata. Highest values of fitness and fibre weight plant -1 (4.70 microner and 6.64 g) were recorded from Bakhtegan Iran’s genotype. Maximum value for uniformity (85.10 %) was also recorded by Khdorda Iran’s genotype. From the principal component analysis (PCA) shows the angle value between each of the two variables elongation, uniformity and strength is ≤ 90 º it means there was significant correlation between them and","PeriodicalId":23933,"journal":{"name":"ZANCO Journal of Pure and Applied Sciences","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-06-14","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"44280813","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The phase I metabolism response, which metabolizes xenobiotics and endogenous and exogenous DNA-reactive chemical compounds that may cause genotoxicity and raise the risk of AML and CML, is catalyzed by the cytochrome P450 (CYP) enzyme. The current study is aimed to identify the frequency of CYP1A1*2C polymorphism in AML, and CML patients. Also, compare some hematological parameters in AML and CML to determine the role of allele variants as a risk factor for developing leukemia. Blood samples were collected from 100 (50 AML and 50 CML) patients and 30 controls of both sexes at different age groups. Samples were analyzed for the prevalence of CYP1A1*2C polymorphism, and the results showed that Ile/Ile (AA)- Wild , Ile/Val (AG)- Hetero, and Val/Val (GG)- Homo mutant genotypes were not significantly elevated in the AML and CML group compared to the control group. However, statistically significant differences were found between the patient’s group concerning WBC and Hb estimation, and the frequency distribution of AA-genotypes in both AML and CML patients showed a significant difference. Despite the fact that individuals in the different genotypes have the same probability to develop AML and CML. During treatment genotypes for both AML and CML patients should be considered of patients with the GG genotype who have lower WBC and Hb, especially in AML which may increase disease severity.","PeriodicalId":23933,"journal":{"name":"ZANCO Journal of Pure and Applied Sciences","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-06-14","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"44585985","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The objective of this study is to analyze groundwater flow and contaminant transport (TDS) over 50 years in the Kaniqurzhala region - Erbil City using GMS (Groundwater Modeling System) version 10.6. In April and May of 2022, the static water table for 27 wells was measured in a 60.80 km2 research area. A sample of landfill leachate, considered a point source of pollution in the research region, is collected. The dimensions of the model domain's 80 columns and 76 rows are (100m x 100m). The MODFLOW, MODPATH, and MT3DMS codes are utilized for modeling groundwater flow and pollution transfer. There was a strong connection between the measuring head and the estimated head, and the model's coefficient of determination was R 2 = 0.9935. After calibration, the hydraulic conductivity values for layers 1, 2, and 3 are (3.647222 x10 -6 m/s, 2.8935 x10 -9 m/s, and 3.24074 x10 -6 m/s, respectively). TDS concentrations travel upstream and downstream of landfills and pollute many wells in the research region.","PeriodicalId":23933,"journal":{"name":"ZANCO Journal of Pure and Applied Sciences","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-06-14","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"42056821","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This research is to present an analytical model for data from student feedback systems to improve the quality of teaching in academic institutions and universities. The developed system in this research uses the lexical analysis algorithm Support Vector Machine (SVM), which has the best accuracy and is one of the machine learning algorithms that can provides textual feedback and useful insights into the overall quality of teaching to improve teaching performance. In this research an online system for student feedback was created. The system is used to get feedback from students about teachers and their methods of teaching. The system uses a large database to collect a large dataset from all students at different colleges at the university level. The system administrators include staff on the college levels from all colleges. All students will be provided with unique usernames and passwords to log in to the system. Among the main tasks for the system administrator is to create classes and to create feedback questions that are designed in two questionnaire forms. The first questionnaire form is about academic questions that are related to the quality of teaching the academic subject. The second questionnaire form is the questions that are related to general education for students. The textual analysis in this system is provided using the (SVM) lexical analysis algorithm, which has the best accuracy but it requires more training time for large data sets to classify the text. The student feedback system developed and used in this research proved to be an excellent tool to improve the academic and educational status of the university. It also helps reduce manual labor in collecting, storing and analyzing feedback data. This system is an efficient way to provide qualitative feedback to teachers that improves","PeriodicalId":23933,"journal":{"name":"ZANCO Journal of Pure and Applied Sciences","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-06-14","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"42319561","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
