Morocco borders Spain directly, causing thousands of migrants, refugees and asylum seekers to pass through Morocco as a transit country to get to Europe as a major destination. Previously, Morocco itself was a large migrant sending country with a total Moroccan diaspora abroad reaching almost 10% of the total population. The dynamics of Morocco as a sending, transit and now a recipient country for refugees makes Morocco have a policy dynamic that is quite interesting to study. Starting with Law 02-03 which made Morocco the first Arab country to have regulations on refugees, ratification of the 2011 constitution, until the enactment of the National Policy on Immigration and Asylum (NPIA) in 2013 made Morocco continue to get praise from various parties for its quite friendly regulations against these refugees, despite various diplomatic pressures that Morocco has received from other countries such as Spain and Greece. Morocco then offers permanent residency for refugees who fulfill the procedure. Azam","doi":"10.5296/jsr.v11i1.15253","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.5296/jsr.v11i1.15253","url":null,"abstract":"Purpose: The main purpose of this paper is to develop a conceptual framework to determine the impact of sustainable practices (SP) on business performance (BP).Methodology: The study conducted using a thorough review of selected appropriate extant literature in developing the conceptual model.Findings: The major finding reveals that sustainable practices can be measured using environmental practices, corporate social responsibility practices and human resource practices and those practices are having an influence on business performance.Originality: This paper can be considered as an advancement over the previous research as it contributes to broadening the understanding of the possible variables that can be used in results of studies linking SP with BP. Moreover, the conceptual model proposed is a new one covering the approach to ascertain the link between SP and BP.Research implication: The findings are likely to help to use the conceptual framework towards broadening and deepening the understanding of the debate regarding the sources of variation in the measurement of SP and BP link.Limitation: This research is limited to papers published up to 2018. The correlation between the following sets of variables are studied: (a) lifestyle and stress; (b) stress and obesity; (c) lifestyle and obesity; (d) lifestyle on academic performance; (e) stress on academic performance; and (f) obesity on academic performance. Adolescent students from 18 schools in India participated in this study. While academic performance is estimated using GPA, questionnaires are used to capture the lifestyle habits of students as well as to assess various forms of stressors such as academic, psychological and health-related. Our results suggest that, a healthier lifestyle is positively correlated to academic performance, while high-stress level has a negative influence. A significant negative relationship is observed between lifestyle and stress, and stress and obesity are observed to be positively related. Obesity, surprisingly, is not a significant predictor of student academic performance for the collected survey data. Green marketing practice is now expanding to the Asian region where environmental threats are disturbing governments and citizens. Environmental management and protection take a prominent place on the globe, where environmental pollution already harms the bio – diversity. The lack of adequate environmental legislation, weak policy decisions together worsened the situation. Therefore, immediate action is needed to protect the nation's environmental resources for the benefit of current and future generations. Since consumption is unavoidable for human existence, the green product is regarded as a means of reducing the environmental effects of human consumption. The introduction of green products in the consumer market has offered a better direction of consumption by decreasing the negative environmental effects of consumer products. Therefore green marketing was chosen as the theme to underpin the study. Green consumerism was chosen as the central theme in the green marketing paradigm. As a result, the integrated conceptual model was constructed to predict purchase intention and behavior towards green products. Altogether, eight antecedents as environmental attitude, environmental knowledge and awareness, perceived consumer behavior, habit, subjective norms, price, brand image, marketing information were incorporated in to the proposed model. Thus, the suggested model is regarded as the extensive model to predict intention towards green products. The study was conducted in two phases. The first phase consisted of a survey with 424 primary school students (aged 7-12 years) in the five provinces of Iran which were selected through a multi-stage random sampling of Iran. This survey investigated whether exposure to television program was related to children's use of media that explored using Buss – Perry standard questionnaire. The results revealed that 23% and 49% of the students displayed high and moderate aggression level respectively. A total of 22 programs were selected as the most favorite children’s TV programs which were assigned to a technical content analysis known as pacing in the second phase of study. The findings of the study showed that the highest pacing index was attributed to Pokemon (67.08), while Fetileh ranked as the lowest pacing index program (23.86). The results also revealed that TV program pacing scores were significantly and positively associated with aggression level of primary school children (p<0.05). The Ebola epidemic knows no geographical boundary as both developed and developing countries are susceptible to its menace. Key facts about the disease and what could be done to mitigate its spread were awash in both the print and electronic media at the height of its outbreak. There was increased awareness of personal hygiene practices of constant washing of hands and using hand-sanitizers. Body temperature was checked in public places such as airports, schools, etc. There were hardly anywhere, home or organization that you will not find sanitizers and clean water dispensers for hand-washing strategically stationed. 798 respondents from the University of Calabar (staff and students) were surveyed as well as five key informants for in-depth information on what has become of the healthy hygienic practices, and to determine whether Nigerians are still conscious of Ebola and how to achieve sustained healthy practices even after the epidemic. These preventive practices need to be intensified and sustained to consolidate the gains attained in the fight against the dreaded virus. We found a total decline in safety practices by individuals and organizations and this itself raises a major concern about their repercussions, given the paucity and unpreparedness of healthcare facilities. Job stress is a crucial problem and job performance is affected in a positive or negative manner. Job satisfaction and emotional intelligence are two important variables in organizational behavioral studies, and are key factors in promoting the efficiency of organizations. The present study was conducted to determine the correlation of job satisfaction and emotional intelligence of the employees. The study was conducted in 28 private and public primary schools to chalk out the association between job performance and job stress, moderated by using the emotional intelligence. This cross-sectional study was performed on 335 employees of Primary Schools, who were selected using convenient and random stratified method. Pre-tested questionnaires were administered to 335 school teachers to collect the information, which was then analyzed statistically by using the SPSS (23.0) measures. Bar-on emotional intelligence and job satisfaction questionnaires were used in this study. The result revealed that there was a direct positive association between job stress and job performance. This association helped to influence and improve the performance of the staff when moderated by emotional intelligence, which has a highly significant interactive role in this regard.
