With this there are a lot of tasks one can do such as browse the internet, send and receive emails, downloading contents from the internet and play games. When someone is using a computer, it becomes very difficult for others to know what exactly the other person is doing on the computer. This can be easily applied to parents because they are not aware of what their children are doing while using computers either in their rooms or even at school. This paper will introduce an effective way on how parents can monitor their children digitally with the use of software engineering.","PeriodicalId":238744,"journal":{"name":"2019 IEEE Asia-Pacific Conference on Computer Science and Data Engineering (CSDE)","volume":"10 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124373236","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Segmentation and counting of white blood cells from microscope images are challenging tasks, especially the segmentation of white blood cell nuclei from the cell wall and cytoplasm because of the need to consider intra-class variations arising from non-uniform illumination, stage of maturity, colour distribution, scale, and overlapped cells with other components of the blood. We propose the use of the JSEG algorithm based on colour-texture distribution, and adapted region growing using the Fuzzy C Mean to segment and count WBCs and their nuclei. First, colours in the image are quantized to represent differentiated regions in the image. Image pixel colours are then replaced by their corresponding colour class labels, thus forming a class-map of the image. A criterion for “good” segmentation using this spatial class-map is applied to local image windows resulting in J-images, which can be segmented using adapted region growing based on the Fuzzy C Mean algorithm. The Fuzzy C Mean is also employed for counting each white blood cell in images. Performance of the proposed method is evaluated on a combined dataset of 10 types of white blood cell with 200 digital images collected from 3 datasets. It achieves an average segmentation accuracy using four indices for WBC segmentation: jaccard distance, rand index, boundary detection error and F-value indices, 0.002, 0.93, 10.11, 0.93, respectively, while for WBC nuclei segmentation, it achieves indices values, 0.015, 0.88, 14.11, 0.90, respectively. The segmentation accuracy of the proposed method is also compared and benchmarked with the other existing techniques for segmentation of white blood cells over the same datasets and the results show that the proposed method is superior to other approaches.","PeriodicalId":238744,"journal":{"name":"2019 IEEE Asia-Pacific Conference on Computer Science and Data Engineering (CSDE)","volume":"8 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127930513","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Support metric-based sensor association use occurrence frequency of pattern as criteria, but the occurrence frequency of a pattern may not be an appropriate criterion for finding significant patterns. However, temporal regularity in occurrence behavior can be considered as another important measure for assessing the importance of patterns in WSNs. A frequent pattern that occurs after regular intervals in WSNs called as regularly frequent sensor patterns. Even though mining regularly frequent sensor patterns from sensor data stream is extremely required in real-time applications, no such algorithm has been proposed yet. Therefore, in this paper we propose a novel tree structure, called regular frequent sensor pattern stream tree (RFSPS-tree) and a new technique, called regularly frequent sensor pattern mining of data stream (RFSPMS), using sliding window-based regularly frequent sensor pattern mining for WSNs. By capturing the useful knowledge of the data stream into an RFSPS-tree, our RFSPMS algorithm can mine associated sensor patterns in the current window with frequent pattern (FP)-growth like pattern-growth method. Extensive experimental analyses show that our technique is very efficient in discovering regularly frequent sensor patterns over sensor data stream.","PeriodicalId":238744,"journal":{"name":"2019 IEEE Asia-Pacific Conference on Computer Science and Data Engineering (CSDE)","volume":"73 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133970981","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It has been found that the prepared 13X zeolite monoliths have larger total pore volume, larger mean pore diameter to improve adsorption kinetics, higher porosity and mechanically stronger on compression than the commercial 13X zeolite beads. The adsorption performance of 75% wt. 13X zeolite monoliths were tested under varying feed gas pressures and flow rates as well as dry and humid conditions. Results have demonstrated that 13X zeolite adsorbent monoliths have excellent adsorption performance for $mathrm{C}mathrm{O}_{2}, mathrm{H}_{2}mathrm{S}$ and water vapor and they could upgrade the biogas to a high quality with about 98% vol. CH4 in the effluent stream. Results revealed that the equilibrium adsorption capacity for 13X zeolite monolith was increased from 0.11 mmol/g to 0.13 mmol/g for H2 S, from 1.95 mmol/g to 2.72 mmol/g for CO2 and from 0.11 mmol/g to 0.20 $mathrm{m}mathrm{m}mathrm{o}mathrm{l}/mathrm{g}$ for CH4 when the (total) feed gas pressure was raised from 1 bar to 3 bar. The study found that the selectivity of CO2 over CH4 was increased by about 13 times when the feed gas stream was humidified with 93% RH.","PeriodicalId":238744,"journal":{"name":"2019 IEEE Asia-Pacific Conference on Computer Science and Data Engineering (CSDE)","volume":"32 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133030574","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

For reducing such environmental concerns, manufacturing organizations have implemented different mitigation strategies. Green, lean, and six sigma are recognized suitable approaches for reducing organizational wastes, which in turn mitigate environmental issues. However, manufacturing firms face numerous challenges while adopting these strategies, separately or in combination. Further, there is a lack of research in the exploration of factors affecting the successful execution of a joint green, lean, and six sigma strategy. The purpose of this research is to determine the critical success factors, which play an important role in effectively implementing a green, lean, and six sigma strategy for improving environmental performance. This research also develops a holistic model, which combines the critical success factors of green, lean, and six sigma implementation to address the environmental aspects of manufacturing organizations.","PeriodicalId":238744,"journal":{"name":"2019 IEEE Asia-Pacific Conference on Computer Science and Data Engineering (CSDE)","volume":"10 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121932605","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

However, the adoption of IoT technology and its relevant interventions in the healthcare sector have not been as fast as the uptake in other industries. With consideration for this issue, this qualitative phenomenological research was conducted to illuminate the factors that affect IoT adoption and its integration for healthcare service delivery in Saudi Arabia. To this end, the study explored the lived experiences of healthcare administrators in using IoT devices as they deliver healthcare services. The five participants, who worked in hospitals and clinics in Jazan, Saudi Arabia, took part in the semi-structured interviews developed on the basis of the diffusion of innovation theory. The findings indicated that the capacity of the Saudi healthcare sector to accept and implement a new IT with IoT technologies and its integrations are still being a debated issue.","PeriodicalId":238744,"journal":{"name":"2019 IEEE Asia-Pacific Conference on Computer Science and Data Engineering (CSDE)","volume":"15 1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128261362","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Almost 80-85% of food is produced by agriculture but the rise in demand needs to be met by an increase in food production. The agriculture sector tends to tackle this issue by incorporating the Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) and cloud technologies to improve productivity and reduce wastage of resources needed for it. The prime target of incorporation of these technologies would be to facilitate farmers to grow crops and raise livestock with ease and lower cost with increasing profits. Smart farming systems can comprise of one or more sub-systems that are automated using IIoT technology and processing is done either in local server or cloud. Most researchers work on individual sub-system and improve the performance providing local optimization. These sub-systems can have different vendors and integration is quite difficult at times. Therefore, we propose to use Data Distribution Service (DDS) middleware to integrate these heterogeneous sub-systems and provide high performance with low latency system. In this paper, we introduce a novel approach to tackle the issue of heterogeneity and provide global optimization. A suitable mathematical model for our proposed system is given and experiments are conducted to show the efficiency of the system in terms of throughput and delay.","PeriodicalId":238744,"journal":{"name":"2019 IEEE Asia-Pacific Conference on Computer Science and Data Engineering (CSDE)","volume":"31 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116187781","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
