Methods: Research subjects were 210 middle-aged women between 40 - 60 years living in G-city. Data were collected from July 2014 to August using a structured questionnaire and analyzed using t-test, One way ANOVA, and multiple regression analysis using the SPSS/WIN 21.0 program. Results: Aging anxiety showed statistically significant differences in religion (t=2.44, p=.015), satisfaction with married life (F=4.39, p=.014), type of leisure activity (F=8.09, p, p, p, p=.010), and religious affiliation (, p=.038). We seek to understand how socio-demographic factors are related to TM use in Korea. Methods: The longitudinal cohort survey data of the Korea Health Panel (2008-2012) were used for the analysis. Information on TM included questions on 4 types of TM therapies used in South Korea (e.g., acupuncture, moxibustion and cupping, herbal therapies, and massage using hand). To adjust clustering across multiple observations per individual, individual random effects were used in the multivariate analysis. All analyses were performed using Stata 11.0. Results: A majority of Koreans (60%) used WM only during a year, and few people used TM only. Among TM users, most (93%) used it along with WM and 8% used TM only. Our regression analysis showed that female, age 34-64, low-educated, and sicker people were more likely to use TM. Conclusion: This study provides evidence on the relationship between TM utilization and socio-demographic factors.","PeriodicalId":238374,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Korean Public Health Nursing","volume":"14 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-04-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"134108763","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Methods: This study was based on the 3rd Korean Working Conditions Survey Data 2011, which was conducted from June to November 2011 by the Occupational Safety and Health Research Institute. The total number of subjects was 3,340 male employees, who were born from 1955 to 1963 and responded to the question regarding occupational stress. Chi-square and multiple logistic regression were used for data analysis using the SAS ver 9.3 program. Results: Approximately 54.5% of the male babyboomer employees did not have psychological well-being. Factors associated with psychological well-being were weekend-shift and occupational stress including job insecurity, organizational system, and lack of reward. Night-shift and long working hours influenced psychological well-being, but the difference was not statistically significant. Conclusion: This study is a meaningful attempt to measure psychological well-being and perform an analysis of associated factors in male baby boomer employees using nationwide survey data. We suggest a complex institutional supplement in terms of national and employers to increase the psychological well-being of baby boomers.","PeriodicalId":238374,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Korean Public Health Nursing","volume":"46 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-04-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130877948","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
