To establish the species composition of weeds, their dominant role and determine the type and level of weediness of soybean crops for cultivation in a fixed nine-course stationary, fallow-crop-row rotation and in monoculture in the eastern part of the Forest-Steppe of Ukraine. \u0000Methods. The research was conducted by route surveys in field experiments. \u0000Results. According to the research of 2011—2017, 30 species of weeds and contaminants were found in soybean crops after winter wheat as forecrop in the stationary crop rotation (spring early and late were 60%, winter and biennial were 17%, perennial were 23%), and 18 species (spring early and late were 72%, wintering and biennial were 6%, perennial were 22%) were found for cultivation in monoculture. They belonged to 16 families, the families Asteraceae (9 species), Poaceae (5 species) and Polygonaceae (5 species) were the most represented. The main weeds in soybean crops in crop rotation and monoculture were Echinochloa crus-galli (L.) Roem. et Schult., Chenopodium album L., Cirsium arvense (L.) Scop. and Panicum miliaceum L. In addition to these weeds for growing soybeans in crop rotation were present Setaria glauca (L.) Beauv., Amaranthus retroflexus L., Solanum nigrum L., Polygonum lapathifolium L., Sonchus arvensis L., Convolvulus arvensis L., and in monoculture were Ambrosia artemisiifolia L. and Xanthium strumarium L. Xanthium strumarium L. was the most dominant in the monoculture (43%), and Setaria glauca (L.) Beauv was subdominant in crop rotation (57%), and Echinochloa crus-galli (L.) Roem. and Schult. was subdominant in monoculture (57%). Six complex types of weeds were formed in soybean crops, cereal-dicotyledonous-dicotyledonous-root-sprouting and dicotyledonous-grass-annual-grass-root-sprouting prevailed. For cultivation in crop rotation cereal annual species predominated, and dicotyledonous annuals predominated in monoculture. At the same time, the monoculture had a higher level of weeding than crop rotation, or it was equivalent. \u0000Conclusions. The species composition of weeds in soybean crops in fallow-crop-row rotation and monoculture differs significantly, which should be taken into account by the agronomic service of farms when developing methods of their control.

To investigate the bioecological and morphological features of the sea buckthorn fly, to evaluate the manifestations of parasitism and methods of phytophage control in agrocenoses of the sea buckthorn. Methods. Census of sea buckthorn flies was carried out in agrocenoses of sea buckthorn of the The Institute of Horticulture of the National Academy of Agrarian Sciences of Ukraine, its research network. The studies used sea buckthorn varieties of domestic and foreign selection, which differ in ripeness groups: mid-early, mid-ripening, late-ripening. Results. In the conditions of the Polesia-Forest-Steppe and Forest-Steppe ecotopes, a pest of agrocenoses of the sea buckthorn buckthorn fly was revealed. Bioecological features and morphological characteristics of this pest have been investigated. It has been established that in the conditions of the Western and Northern Forest-steppe of Ukraine, mid-early and mid-season varieties of sea buckthorn suffer from the sea buckthorn fly. A set of measures has been developed for the use of elements of agricultural technology, biological and chemical preparations for the control of sea buckthorn flies in sea buckthorn agrocenoses. Conclusions. It has been shown that the populations of the sea buckthorn fly are numerous on plants of early and mid-season varieties of sea buckthorn, in particular, on such as: Chuiskaya, Pagorbova, Morkvyana, Pavilionna. It was found that the larvae of flies penetrate the fruits, where they feed on the pulp, after which the sea buckthorn fruits become completely unsuitable for fresh consumption and for processing. Research carried out during 2017—2020 in the conditions of the Polesia-Forest-Steppe and Forest-Steppe ecotopes, it was possible to identify varieties of sea buckthorn (Orangevya, Adaptyvna), which are relatively resistant to sea buckthorn fly. It has been established that carrying out agrotechnical measures for loosening the soil in the near-stem part of plants and aisles, sowing perennial herbaceous vegetation in the aisles against the background of changing weather conditions significantly inhibits the development of the sea buckthorn fly and reduces damage to sea buckthorn fruits.

Visual diagnostics, transmission electron microscopy, double sandwich enzyme immunoassay (DAS-ELISA). \u0000Results. Gladioli infect viruses: cucumber mosaic virus, bean yellow mosaic virus, tobacco rattle virus, tobacco ringspot virus, which belongs to regulated pests in Ukraine. These pathogens are common on all continents where plants are grown, have a wide range of host plants and pose a potential threat to crops. In the case of a systemic reaction of a plant to a viral infection, the symptoms lead to a loss of aesthetic value by the plant, economic losses in the floriculture industry, degeneration of varieties in the collections of botanical gardens and private farms, problems in further selective selection for creating new varieties. Possible means of protection and prevention of the spread of viruses to other types of cultivated plants are considered. \u0000Conclusions. Gladiolus plants can infect 9 types of viruses, among which the most common and harmful are cucumber mosaic, yellow bean mosaic and tobacco pogrimovka viruses. A yellow bean mosaic virus and a cucumber mosaic virus have been identified in Ukraine. The vegetation cover of uncultivated lands of Polessye part of Zhytomyr region has been studied. During the years of non-use of land in agricultural circulation, separate micro-groups of plants have been formed, the area of which is gradually increasing. Six microgroups belonging to two associations were identified and studied. The first association of Poo-Festucetum pratensis was on a close-knit medium-high mane, which included three microgroups with a predominance of meadow oatgrass, meadow clover, and common viper. The second association, Poopalustris-Alopecuretum pratensis, was found on lowland plains and included microgroups with a predominance of meadow foxtail, mouse pea, and northern butterbur. It was determined that both plant groups of the surveyed areas were dominated (according to Raunkier) by hemicryptophytes — plants whose buds are at ground level or submerged up to 5 cm — 87.1 % in the southern and 91.3 % in the northern regions of Zhytomyr region. Investigate the possibility to use 1,8-naphthalic anhydride metabolism inductor to control acetolactate synthase (ALS) inhibitor-resistant biotype of common graminicides of aryloxyphenoxypropionic acid class in rice. \u0000Methodology. The interaction of 1,8-naphthalic anhydride and fenoxaprop-p-ethyl on variety Vikont rice plants was studied under laboratory aseptic conditions. The data were statistically processed. \u0000Results. In Ukraine we have identified the biotype of resistant to herbicide ALS inhibitors Echinochloa crus-galli, which is cross-resistant to widely used herbicides — ALS inhibitors of the following chemical classes: imidazolinones (imazamox, imazapyr), sulfonylurea (nicosulfuron), triazolopyrimidines (penoxsulam). The possibilities of chemical control of weeds in rice, corn, sunflower, etc. crops are significantly limited. Multi-resistance of this weed biotype to herbicides — inhibitors of photosynthesis, mitotic cycle, 5-enolpyruvylshikimate-3-phosphate synthase, acetyl-CoA-carboxylase, protein synthesis — has not been detected. Therefore, the use of graminicides of aryloxyphenoxypropionate class is promising for the control of this ALS-resistant biotype of Echinochloa crus-galli. To increase the selectivity of fenoxaprop-P-ethyl application to rice plants, we propose to treat the seeds of the crop with the inductor of xenobiotics metabolism in plants — 1.8-naphthalic anhydride before sowing. When using 1.8-naphthalic anhydride in concentrations of 10-5 M, phytotoxicity of fenoxaprop-P-ethyl in concentrations of 10-6 and 10-5 M to rice plants is effectively reduced. \u0000Conclusions. The use of 1.8-naphthalic anhydride is promising for increasing the selectivity of fenoxaprop-P-ethyl for rice plants and allows the development of technologies using graminicides of aryloxyphenoxypropionate class to control ALS-resistant biotype of Echinochloa crus-galli in crops. Determination of soil contamination of plots planted for planting black poplar and evaluation of seed productivity of weeds. \u0000Methods. The level of seed productivity of the weeds was determined by the weighting method in the following sequence. In the experiment, 10 plants of one weed species were cut and manually threshed on a tarpaulin. The purified seeds were weighed and, after determining the mass of 1000 seeds, the average amount (thousand units /plant) of seeds per plant was converted. \u0000Results. The problem with perennial plantations of bioenergy crops is that the plants are grown for 10—15 years in monoculture on the same section of the field. Consequently, large stocks of certain weeds in the soil can significantly affect the growth and development and productivity level of cultivated plants. So, before planting a plantation, it is necessary to assess the clogging of the plots for the presence of problematic weed species, which can potentially breed on black poplar plantings and impede effective plant care. Virtually all arable land is mothballed with a different weed seed bank. Weed seed stocks depend on the direction of use of the plot, the culture of agriculture, the quality of agricultural operations on care, crop rotation, culture, etc. However, two areas with the same seed reserves in the soil are difficult to find, although the percentage of the main weed species may be identical. \u0000Conclusions. Weeds traditionally have high seed productivity and form large seed banks in the arable soil, reaching 1.5—2.0 million units / ha. Bioenergy crops, especially perennial species, are extremely sensitive to weeds in the first year of growing season. Because they form rather modest growths of vegetative mass and can not receive photosynthetically active energy to the soil, and therefore it is important to ensure the purity of the field from weeds during the first year of vegetation.

The contamination of crops of lentils in the years of research had mixed. As a result of pre-release areas from the presence of perennial plants (couch grass, convolvulus arvensis) weeds, mostly introduced annual grasses and dicotyledonous species. The most widespread in crops were plants of foxtail glaucous — 19.5 pieces/ m2 (22.5% in the structure of impurity), Echinochloa ordinary and 17.3 (19.9%), amaranth thrown back to 10.7 (12.3%), nightshade black — 6,8 pieces/ m2 (7.8%).
