In the previous work, we fabricated a prototype system for monitoring an electrocardiograph (ECG), heart rate (HR), 3 axes human body acceleration, temperature for human body and human circumstances, simultaneously. These data are transmitted to the host PC and used for analyzing the human activities and conditions such as a heart rate variability (HRV). The HRV that calculated from HR is valuable for recognizing a mental or physical stress of human subjects. In this study, we demonstrate a fuzzy logic HR extraction algorithm on the prototype system to realize an autonomous HRV monitoring system. On-board fuzzy algorithm will reduce the communication traffic and improve an accuracy of the HR extraction. From the implementation result, the error ratio of the HR extraction is improved from 0.9 % to 0.4 %.","PeriodicalId":23749,"journal":{"name":"World Automation Congress 2012","volume":"43 1","pages":"1-4"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2012-06-24","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"89332019","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

However, The landscape pattern of Longfeng wetland reserve has undergone a significant change as a result of accelerated urbanization. Remote sensing data (1979, 1989, 2001 and 2008) and GIS were utilized as basic information resource and ancillary tool for the analysis. Dynamic change of landscape structure at the wetland reserve of Longfeng was analyzed by using indices such as TN.P(total patch area), NP(number of patches), PL.A.N.D(percentage of landscape), PD(patch density), LS.I(landscape shape index), SH.D.I(Shannon's diversity index), DI(patch richness), PA.F.D(perimeter-area fractal Dimension) and etc. As the result that swamp as the landscape matrix controlled the matter and energy flowing. The result of landscape analysis indicates that the area of swamp decreased, but the patch number increased rapidly in recent 30 years. The area was fragmented due to the decreasing of the landscape dominance. SH.D.I increased implies the landscape type is becoming more diverse in the area from 1979 to 2008. Although the rate of wetland diminishing was kept by the related protection laws, the wetland decreasing in area is still remained vulnerable. Therefore, the plan for protecting the reserve should be further strengthened and sustainable utilization will be the final goal.","PeriodicalId":23749,"journal":{"name":"World Automation Congress 2012","volume":"85 1","pages":"1-5"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2012-06-24","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"84024866","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The proposed control law only needs one element of the TT as feedback information, which is computed from the current and the target images along the sequence of the visual path. The scheme is valid for images captured by cameras having approximately a unique center of projection, e.g., conventional, central catadioptric and some fisheye cameras. The benefits of the proposed scheme are that explicit pose parameters decomposition is not required and the rotational velocity is smooth or eventually piece-wise constant avoiding discontinuities that generally appear when a new target image must be reached. Additionally, the translational velocity is adapted as required for the path. The validity and performance of the approach is shown through realistic simulations using synthetic images.","PeriodicalId":23749,"journal":{"name":"World Automation Congress 2012","volume":"1 1","pages":"1-6"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2012-06-24","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"81341013","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Some wireless communications are allowable to operate in TVWSs, such unlicensed Wireless Fidelity (WiFi). Because TVWSs are located in the VHF and UHF bands, TVWSs can provide significantly better coverage and wall penetration inside buildings and other structures than the 2.4GHz and 5GHz WiFi frequencies currently in use. Therefore, this paper assumes that WiFi will be deployed in TVWSs. However, the interference impact of WiFi on DTV has to be taken into account. The interference probability in DTV receiver was evaluated by using Spectrum Engineering Advanced Monte-Carlo Analysis Tool (SEAMCAT). As results, if the interference probability of 5% is acceptable to DTV receiver, when 20 WiFi UEs are simultaneously operating at the maximum transmit power of 23 dBm and the guard band is 22 MHz, the protection distance should be at least 6 km.","PeriodicalId":23749,"journal":{"name":"World Automation Congress 2012","volume":"12 1","pages":"1-4"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2011-11-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"89035917","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
