The method is capable of considering multilayered anisotropic substrates, conductor, dielectric and gyromagnetic losses, alternative directions for the magnetic bias, the finite-thickness of conventional or super-conducting strips, and lossy ground metallizations. At the example of ferrite-dielectric layered high-Tc superconducting microstrip lines, it is demonstrated that the line characteristics largely depend on both losses and the tensor parameters of anisotropic materials.","PeriodicalId":234490,"journal":{"name":"AMPC Asia-Pacific Microwave Conference,","volume":"14 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1992-08-11","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125599739","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The radar returns are shown to be a sum of twodimensional complex exponentials over a small data aperture. In order to obtain solutions accurate to a pre-specifid degree an adaptive meshing technique has been used so that fields near edges and inner comers are precisely approximated. The quasi-static approach employs Lagrange elements. The dynamic analysis makes use of Lagrange and edge elements. Comparisons with results previously published are provided. with Lagrange and edge element approximations for the longitudinal component and the transverse vectorial one, respectively. Spurious modes are not present [5]. This self-adaptive meshing technique leads to accurate user-friendly FEM codes, able to analyze structures with any number of arbitrarily shaped conductors and dielectric regions. The application of the method to the analysis of some shielding affects and comparison with results of other authors imd methods is presented. Results confirm the capabilities of the method.","PeriodicalId":234490,"journal":{"name":"AMPC Asia-Pacific Microwave Conference,","volume":"16 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1992-08-11","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126132120","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
