The Republic of Kosovo has practiced their application twice during the past 10 years. The main purpose of this study is to provide practical guidance on the required actions for a successful tax amnesty. The survey method is used for data collection. Data processing is done through SPSS and statistical techniques. The major findings revealed key practices for a successful tax amnesty. Evidence has shown that most businesses which had previously evaded taxes are now regular taxpayers after the tax amnesty. Therefore, according to the results it is concluded that the success of tax amnesty depends on the fulfillment of certain conditions such as; the confidentiality of the tax amnesty beneficiaries, the time to take advantage from tax amnesty should be sufficient, facilitating tax amnesty procedures should encourage participation in the amnesty, it should be clear that no other tax amnesties will be repeated in the future, tax offices must be equipped with advanced technology and serious and strict sanctions must be applied after the tax amnesty.","PeriodicalId":234310,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Economics and Management Sciences","volume":"2 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-07-19","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"134014324","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

There is a large volume of research that support the positive relationship between HRD and the organizational performance. Most of such research was conducted in the developed countries and to a lesser extent in the developing countries (countries in transit). Through this study we confirmed the impact of the investments in various forms of HRD in the performance of the SMEs in Kosovo. This study provides empirical data that support the impact of training and development, career development and motivation of employees on organizational performance, but the results of this study do not support the impact of the education of entrepreneurs on the organizational performance.","PeriodicalId":234310,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Economics and Management Sciences","volume":"159 6 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-06-10","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128944203","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

(Note 1) This paper reviews return on assets (ROA) as an indicator of profit and return on equity (ROE) as an indicator of profitability in the banking systems of the respective countries, as well as some other macroeconomic variables that influence them. The main objective of this study is to identify the specific and macroeconomic variables of this industry, that have an impact on the profitability of commercial banks operating in the Western Balkan countries during the 2008-2015 period. Specifically, this paper addresses external indicators (gross domestic product, remittances, foreign direct investment, unemployment), and industry and bank specific indicators (assets, loans, loan-to-deposit ratio, non performing loans and interest rates) that affect the profitability of the banking system in respective countries. \u0000Therefore, according to the data generated during the research and the literature review, the profitability of banks measured by the ROA and ROE indicators, regarding the analyzed countries, turns out to be extremely low, especially compared to EU countries where they strive.","PeriodicalId":234310,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Economics and Management Sciences","volume":"106 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-06-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132161610","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Hence, it provides a significant basis to undertake a research study for exploring employee working experience with opposite gender boss. The present qualitative research is based on ontological philosophical assumption having social constructivism as an interpretive framework and uses a phenomenological approach to extract the essence of employees lived working experience with an opposite gender boss. A semi-structured interview of not more than an hour was conducted with each of the 5 {Females (3) and Male (2)} employees of private higher education institute. The research reveals instead of boss's gender the employee working experience is based on Boss's Personality, Leadership Style and Professionalism. Further, the \"Work Efficiency\" and \"Professionalism\" of both male and female subordinates' increases while working with opposite gender boss.  However, in terms of \"Career Development\" male bosses concentrate on developing subordinate's knowledge while female on the position. Also, Boss's personal conduct i.e. his/her age, dressing, and schedule don't contribute to subordinate's development. The research findings amplify knowledge base of employee working experience with opposite gender boss that can also be used to conduct further studies and solidify the subordinate-supervisor relationship.","PeriodicalId":234310,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Economics and Management Sciences","volume":"12 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-05-21","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114772760","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This study was conducted to analyze the key factors affecting the intention of customers to purchase in Vietnam. This study is conducted by two methods, including \"secondary research method\" and \"quantitative method\" for research. Firstly, the author uses the \"secondary research method\" to refer to previous academic sources for this research. Secondly, the author collected a sample of 349 volunteers in Vietnam who have an understanding and interest in e-commerce. Perceived Usefulness, Perceived Ease of Use, Perceived Transaction Security are reported to have a positive relationship with online purchase intention. They are significant factors affecting the purchase intention of Vietnamese online customers. Other demographic factors can affect online shopping intention, such as age and income, so research cannot represent all customers. Businesses can use the findings to further understand about emerging markets. This trend is the basis for business managers to develop customer attraction strategies and improve the quality of online shopping services. The potential for online shopping is becoming more attractive, especially in emerging markets. This study is in line with the trend of the online shopping industry. The results of this study can help marketers understand more about customers' intentions, thereby building long-term relationships between businesses and customers.","PeriodicalId":234310,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Economics and Management Sciences","volume":"6 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-04-13","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133372337","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Hence, the traditional channel that involves the distributors and retailers require careful management by manufacturers and suppliers such that their goals and objectives will be aligned and this helps the manufacturer achieve their major objective of getting their goods across to the consumers through the channel. In the management of the channel – trade marketing is employed, that is why this study seeks to appraise the effectiveness of trade marketing in the management of distribution channel and how well this results into increased revenue generation using MTN Nigeria as a case study. The study uses primary data collected through the use of questionnaire which was analysed with simple percentage and ordinary least square with multiple variables. The study finds out that trade marketing activities contributes to increased revenue generation and also discovered that the use or non-use of retailers does not affect the survival of telecom firms due to the development and growth in information and communication technology which helps firm to reach out to their customers via other means different from retailers. The study concludes that telecom firms should balance budget allocation into trade marketing activities as well as other advertisement as a way of resonating their brand in consumer’s hearts.","PeriodicalId":234310,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Economics and Management Sciences","volume":"28 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-04-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131745051","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The rate is so high in developing countries, and more in sub-Saharan Africa (SSA) region. This paper therefore investigated the main drivers of infant mortality in a sample of eight SSA nations. The empirical findings reveal that newborn deaths are negative and statistically significant with the quality and availability of water supplies, sanitation facility, improved standard of living; but positively related and statistically significant to the increase in pollution level these countries. The study therefore recommend that government’s efforts should also be directed towards enhancing effective child healthcare services, provision of infrastructural facilities such as, improving access to drinkable water, and citizens’ welfare.","PeriodicalId":234310,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Economics and Management Sciences","volume":"4 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-03-20","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128669271","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
