Adam and Hassan defined multi Q-fuzzy soft sets as an extension to fuzzy soft sets and gave its applications. This article will extend this further by presenting a novel concept of Q-neutrosophic soft expert sets, and define the associated related concepts and basic operations of complement, subset, union, intersection, AND and OR. This novel concept enables the single dimensionality of soft expert sets to be extended to two dimensions. Then, this article constructs an algorithm based on this concept. The following will illustrate the feasibility of the new method by an example. Finally, a comparison of the proposed method to existing methods is furnished to verify the effectiveness of the novel concept.","PeriodicalId":233724,"journal":{"name":"Int. J. Fuzzy Syst. This is in the case that the characters of the decision information and decision makers' preferences are heterogeneous, and the weight information is incomplete. In this method, the multi-objective decision-making model, which considers the alternatives decision relative closeness and the preference of heterogeneous degree of decision makers in the objective function, is put forward. In addition, this article uses the minimax method to derive the multi-objective decision-making model and obtain the attribute weights and decision makers weights, and then the optimal scheme is established. Fuzzy C-Means standard methods are improved through fuzzy clustering at different image resolution levels by propagating fuzzy membership values pyramidally from a lower to a higher level. Processing at a lower resolution image level provides a rough pixel classification result, thus, a pixel is assigned to a cluster to which the majority of its neighborhood pixels belongs. The aim of fuzzy clustering with multi-resolution images is to avoid pixel misclassification according to the spatial cluster of the neighbourhood of each pixel in order to have more homogeneous regions and eliminate noisy regions present in the image. This method is tested particularly on samples and medical images with gaussian noise by varying multiresolution parameter values for better analysis. The results obtained after multi-resolution clustering are giving satisfactory results by comparing this approach with standard FCM and spatial FCM ones.","PeriodicalId":233724,"journal":{"name":"Int. Senthil Kumar","doi":"10.4018/IJFSA.2018100104","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.4018/IJFSA.2018100104","url":null,"abstract":"This article proposes a method for solving intuitionistic fuzzy solid transportation problems (IFSTPs) in which only the transportation costs are represented in terms of intuitionistic fuzzy numbers (IFNs). The remaining parameters, namely: supply, demand and conveyance capacity, are all considered into crisp numbers. This type of STP is called a type-2 IFSTP. When solving the real life solid transportation problems (STPs) those tend to face the uncertainty state as well as hesitation due to many uncontrollable factors. To deal with uncertainty and hesitation many authors have suggested the intuitionistic fuzzy representation for the data. In this article, the author tried to categorise the STPs under the uncertain environment. He formulates the intuitionistic fuzzy STPs and utilizes the triangular intuitionistic fuzzy number (TIFN) to deal with uncertainty and hesitation. The PSK (P.Senthil Kumar) method for finding an intuitionistic fuzzy optimal solution for fully intuitionistic fuzzy transportation problem (FIFTP) is extended to solve the type-2 IFSTP and the optimal objective value of type-2 IFSTP is obtained in terms of TIFN. The main advantage of this method is that the optimal solution of type-2 IFSTP is obtained without using the basic feasible solution and the method of testing optimality. Moreover, the proposed method is computationally very simple and easy to understand. A case study is presented to illustrate the procedure of the proposed method.","PeriodicalId":233724,"journal":{"name":"Int. J. Fuzzy Syst. To deal with this type of uncertainty, initially fuzzy set theory (FST) was explored and accordingly, medical decision making became one of the most important and interesting areas of applications of FST. Interval valued fuzzy sets (IVFSs) and intuitionistic fuzzy sets (IFS's) were developed and successfully applied in different areas including medical diagnosis. Although, IFS forms a membership degree and a non-membership degree separately in such a way that sum of the two degrees must not exceed one, but one of the important and integral part i.e., degree of neutrality is not taken into consideration in IFS, which is generally occurred in medical diagnosis. In such circumstances, picture fuzzy set (PFS) can be considered as a strong mathematical tool, which adequate in situations when human opinions involved more answers of type: yes, abstain, no. For this purpose, this article, proposes some distance measures on PFS and studies some of its properties. Also, an attempt has been made to carry out medical diagnosis via the proposed distance measures on PFSs and exhibit the technique with a suitable case study. It is found that the distance measures make it possible to introduce weights of all symptoms and consequently patient can be diagnosed directly.","PeriodicalId":233724,"journal":{"name":"Int. J. A suitable combination of individual models leads to hybrid models, which are more efficient than their individual components. So, the authors find the introduction of many hybrid models of soft sets, like the fuzzy soft set (FSS), intuitionistic fuzzy soft sets (IFSS), interval valued fuzzy soft set (IVFSS) and the interval valued intuitionistic fuzzy soft set (IVIFSS). Following the characteristic function approach to define soft sets introduced by Tripathy et al., they re-define IVIFSS in this article. One of the most attractive applications of soft set theory and its hybrid models has been decision making in the form of individual decision making or group decision making. Here, the authors propose a group decision making algorithm using IVIFSS, which generalises many of our earlier algorithms. They compute its complexity and establish the computation experimentally with graphical illustrations.","PeriodicalId":233724,"journal":{"name":"Int. J. Fuzzy Syst.
