However this target was not achieved, motivated by limitations in Ptolemaic doctrines. In this paper we will analyze some of the main sources from which astrological practice was nurtured mainly during the 15th and 16th centuries, and in what way they contributed to shaping the astrological art of that time.","PeriodicalId":232761,"journal":{"name":"FORTUNATAE. Conversely, the analysis of book 24 reveals a chapter (24.40) that matches our knowledge about Livy's later adaptation of the Greek author’s style. However, this chapter also contains some important differences with what we know about later episodes in books 26-29 that also deal with the First Macedonian War. Moreover, the chapter in book 24 is isolated from other references to the war between books 23-25. For these reasons, is contended that, if Livy knew the Histories when writing thefirst pentad of thethird decade, he used them very little when dealing with theinitial movements of the First MacedonianWar (216-212 BC). This situation, in turn, has important implications for the study of the relationship between both authors in the problematic third decade","PeriodicalId":232761,"journal":{"name":"FORTUNATAE. From a practical perspective, a proof of this statement is its presence in the official Spanish Bachillerato curriculum and its relevance regarding the Evaluación para el Acceso a la Universidad (University Entrance Exam, abbreviated in Spanish as EvAU). Considering this, the aim of this paper is twofold. On the one hand, it seeks to analyse, in terms of frequency, the vocabulary of the texts proposed for the Latin II EvAU exam in the Community of Madrid, between 2004 and 2020. On the other hand, once the most frequent words have been identified, it aims to offer several activities based on «lexical constellations» strategy with the purpose of acquiring and consolidating this vocabulary in Latin class","PeriodicalId":232761,"journal":{"name":"FORTUNATAE. An outstanding and innovative point of this perspective –with regard specifically to the literary sphere– is that the notions of emotion and affect help to conceptualize the frame of reference that governs the reception of a given text. To a certain extent, this implies understanding the emotional dimension that arises and manifests itself in the instance of poetic or dramatic performance as a constitutive element of the literary genre –beyond formal and normative characterizations. This paper aims to examine in archaic Greek iambography (Archilochus of Paros and Hipponax of Ephesus) and in ancient comedy (Aristophanes) the forms of manipulation of emotions in the laughable ἐχθρός construction through ψόγος","PeriodicalId":232761,"journal":{"name":"FORTUNATAE.
